Wonderful hotel situated on a beautiful river and right across from the rail and bus station - easily walkable. The hotel provided a transit card allowing free use of all busses, which allows access to all the local attractions. Fantastic free breakfast and a wonderful restaurant and beer garden right in the hotel. Highly recommended!

We booked a non smoking room, the very fabric of which smelled of sale cigarette smoke. Both gentleman on reception had the attitude of 'what's your problem'

The breakfast buffet was limited compared to other hotels in Germany. It was noisy and quite hot as the windows only open a little bit at the top, which is usual for Germany, but right in town I think AC is needed. I did ask for a fan and they delivered one so that did help.

Great staff and very friendly! There is a restaurant down below and breakfast was included with the stay. Only draw back is there is no ac, but that should be expected. The location is super close to the train/bus station and a short walk to the shops. My family loved the stay and we would definitely go back!

The view is amazing. Many walkable places to eat. Most of the places I visited only accepts cash. Staff was very friendly. The room I stayed was very good for the price. Only bad thing about the rooms is that they don’t have A/C. Had to keep the windows open and then you hear everything on the outside.

I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out. Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast. We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station. Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.

Berchtesgaden was well worth the visit. Beautiful. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Construction was underway to enlarge the dining area. It’s an older hotel with a great location by the train depot.

bathroom had no shelf to put your toothbrush and other items. No wash clothes and only had a couple TV channels mostly qvc. Biergarten was really nice the breakfast buffet and restaurant was great. There was a young blond waitress with and accent she was really friendly and smiled the whole time. The hotel is very close to the Kehlsteinhaus and Koenigsee. It's right by the river and street so it was a little noisy but great location.

Loved our stay here! When we arrived Sam, at the front desk, helped us get settled straight away. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station but you cannot hear trains pass. We got a room over looking the river which was very relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was great!

The hotel overlooked a river. It was also on a traffic circle and across from the bus station but near was heard. The location was easy to access all points of interest. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was good. There is not many dining options in October. There are grocery stores nearby. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only down side would have been a slow elevator during busy season.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location on a sparkling clear river. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river and was put to sleep each night with the sound of the water. Staff was excellent and the food at their restaurant was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
