Amazing place. Run by 1 family that is extremely kind & thoughtful.
Me and my buddy were hiking Machu Picchu and they packed a bag of snacks for us before we left.
This hotel is tucked in a quiet little section of Cusco, and perfect for rest. Takes about 20 mins to walk into the center from here

Staff is very nice, esp Alex. It was clean and beds were comfortable. There is not air conditioning, but this was not an issue since we were there in Sept. Breakfast is overall good and they offer simple to-go breakfasts if you have an early tour. The road it is on is under construction, so it is uneven and I tripped multiple times. It's also a bit far from city center, but we didn't mind the opportunity to walk and see different things. Felt safe walking everywhere. Uber is also available, quick and cheap. We actually grew quite fond of this hotel!

The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and good hot water for shower. Good breakfast available in the AM. The location was just 10-minute walk or less from Plaza de Mayor/Armas. Quiet spot just a block from main road which we liked a lot. They had free filtered water for drinking. I would definitely stay there again. No restaurant other than breakfast, but with all the great restaurants around it was not needed. Also, a clothing fair just around the corner as well.

The heater is not working so the room is freezing.
I had to take a cold shower.
The safe is not connected to the wall.
The fan in the bathroom is not working.
Stay away from this hotel.

Hotel overall was “ok” but the room we had (202) was noisy (could hear reception voices & some kind of internal construction occurring next door). Also, they regulated the heat so even though you have a heater in your room and turn it on, it only works when they turn on the main heat. WiFi in our room was spotty and not secure. Also, we requested a late check out (11AM instead of 10AM) which was “approved” by the front desk employee at the time, the day before, but when I went to confirm in the AM of our check out, there was no record and they wanted to charge me. Not good. Also, FYI, you are not allowed to flush the toilet paper in your bathroom so you have a garbage can smelling of number 2 all day. Won’t stay there again. P.S. No snacks available for purchase. Some pop, beer, & water that is warm and over priced.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. They hotel is convenient and centrally located

We loved the Hotel Yawar; it is conveniently located near Downtown, about a 10-minute drive. There are a few dining and shopping options. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Since our tour company picked us up at 4:30 am, they also provided us with breakfast. They had a to-go bag ready for us. That was life-saving. Overall, the experience was excellent; the beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious.

The staff give our room wrong, and also forgot our reservation. The hair dryer was on fire, not working at all.

Hotel was clean and fine and the staff was good. Only drawback was the location. Appears the large median-divided street (an avenue of heroes) was undergoing renovation or construction so sidewalks were torn up, fenced off, etc.,. But there was little actual construction activity going on or many people or commercial activity generally. One good restaurant near by, but little else. Imagine it would be hopping with activity if not for apparent construction.

All great, location, staff and the facilities were just great for the money. Definitely booking again.

We had an enjoyable experience. The room was very nice and very clean. Everything and more than what we expected. Would highly recommend staying.

It's a nice, quality place for a reasonable price. I wanted to thank Yuri Bruno, one of the staff there. He put in significant effort to get a postal shipment to the US for us. That's the type of helpful staff all hotels should have; he way deserves a promotion! The breakfast was great. We also liked that there is an excellent restaurant 100 meters away from the hotel. Finally, do not hesitate to get a room here with a jacuzzi: it's nice!! Please note that the hotel is not in downtown, so it is quieter.

Delicious breakfasts, kind staff, they were updating the hotel and the street around it when we visited, so it was in transition. Otherwise quite nice.

This is a relatively new hotel in Cusco and very clean with cordial staff. Plenty of hot water and a nice breakfast area. A great value and location away from Plaza de Armas but a quick 10 minute walk of 5 minute taxi ride will get you there.

The area was not as expected. The hotel was ok but the pictures made it look better than it was.

Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. Lift was out during part of our stay. Spent ages waiting on hot water as well. So not impressed by the facilities of this place.
Breakfast was good though hot food options were limited (scrambled eggs, omelette).
There's a few good restaurants near here but it's a bit of walk from the historical centre. It's not on a main road though so don't have the car horns/dog barking that other hotels had!

The beds were comfortable. It was a nice clean property. The front desk person assisted with having a tourist person come to the hotel to assist with the tour to Machu Picchu. Breakfast was great. Had variety of things.

The hotel was average all around but the staff was very helpful in a time of need. We checked in 90 mins early so thankfully they had a room.
We had a unique experience as we got admitted into the hospital the night we checked in, and stayed in the hospital both nights , only to get discharged in time to get our bags after check out.
So we didn’t actually get to sleep in the hotel beds, but the shower was luke warm, both times.
Breakfast is included although we weren’t there to have it.
There was some sort of post football game riot with about 60 people and drums going on outside the hotel for an hour when my son tried to sleep between 7-8. I guess it was still early enough for some people, just unfortunate timing for us - but we were headed to the hospital around then anyway.
The gentleman at the front was incredibly kind and helpful. When we needed medical help he called the right clinic for us and got the doctor to come to the room. I’m very grateful for his help and kindness in a time of stress.
Check out is early -10am. When we needed to delay getting the bags until 12 as we were in the hospital, they were going to charge us $40 but only charged us $20… although it was nice of them to discount it, it still left a bitter taste in my mouth I was paying more given I didn’t even sleep in the bed or eat the breakfast
It was a series of unfortunate events, not a typical experience, but what we did experience for a hotel seemed like an average 3 star hotel.
