This hotel is a great recommend! Cozy room, nice gym and beach-club! I will stay again if I visit Malta

The apartment was stunning! The open-plan kitchen and living room area was large and perfect for a group of friends. Very reasonably priced and only a two minute walk to the beach club.
2.5
We stayed for 3 days and had a good time. The hotel holds events and provides shuttles throughout the week to attractions and towns which is such a nice idea.
The staff are very helpful. Water for the room is charged for. Continental breakfast was worth the money as there was a wide selection of food and everything was piping hot and tasty. Options were available for all dietary requirements.
The spa has a steam room, sauna and pool with jets as well ask lounge chairs and has a calming ambience.
The room is very close to the beach and the beach club is only about a 2 minute walk. We were very lucky that the beach club was open for a few days during November due to good weather. Food took over an hour and a half to arrive at the beach club though it was delicious and the portion sizes were large.
The size of the room was not what we expected, smaller than it looks photos and also different to photos in that the decor didn’t match and was remarkably less spacious.
The hotel is halfway up a hill and it only takes about 5 minutes or less to walk to the bottom of either side of the hill. This is also where the bus stops are. Locker bus stop and Sliema bus stop are walkable and provide links to different parts of Malta.

I really like this hotel
The building works are annoying so unless they are finished won't stop there next year
If the are then it's on my list

The hotel was superb and of a very high standard.
The staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful.
The spa was an added extra and so nice.
The beach Club was so convenient and the staff were very attentive, with the food and drinks served quickly through a good menu.
Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Everything was very well designed, it looked great and felt extremely comfortable. The staff were all so incredible polite and helpful. Breakfast was very very good with a fantastic selection of food. The beach club was beautiful and allowed for a real sociable vibe. The new rooftop pool was beautiful with luxury sunbeds. Though very few so some guests were turned away. The location was perfect, minutes away from the shore and convenient to the ferry, harbour and shops.
2.5
It was a very welcoming experience m, we had a spacious, clean and modern family room which accommodated comfortably 4 adults.
The beach pool is a must and the hotel ia well located, far away enough from the busy streets but close enough to walk.
We visited a lot of places and ferry and buses are cheap and recommend - taxi drivers can be quite reckless at times

Our stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. The facilities were overcrowded and practically unusable, making it impossible to enjoy what was advertised. We constantly had to speak to management about various issues, but they were rarely available, leaving us frustrated and with unresolved concerns.
One of the biggest problems was the construction site next door, with noise lasting all day long, making it difficult to relax. On top of that, there was a persistent sewage smell that made the environment unpleasant. The fire alarm also went off randomly throughout our stay, adding unnecessary stress.
The hotel is in desperate need of maintenance. Several areas seemed neglected, and it’s clear that upkeep is not a priority. Worse still, the customer service was abysmal. Staff were unhelpful, and any attempts to address our concerns were met with dismissive attitudes or excuses.
We paid full price for a stay that was far from enjoyable, and the issues we raised were either ignored or brushed aside. This hotel fell well below expectations and failed to deliver on its promises. I cannot recommend it, as it does not offer the standard of comfort or service one would expect.

I really enjoyed my stay and the hotel staff were all very helpful.

The hotel is very nice and clean, restaurant is great, 1926 la plage I recommend to go there at least at 9.30-10.00, after there is no place anymore.

Property was great, super modern, my room was clean and the staff were super nice.

We got a great impression of the hotel at first, but that quickly changed. The fire alarm went off every other day. Sometimes because of other guests smoking in their room, other times due to a procedure (which we were never informed of). There is SO MUCH noise from construction right in front of the hotel and they begin at 7 am every day. The hotel manager told ud construction in turist areas in summer were illegal, but they continued nevertheless. There is no “do not disturb” sign to put on the door, but there is a button next to the bed you can press. Ours was not working. We contacted the reception 4 times regarding this, including the manager, and they promised to fix it the same day every time, but after our 10 day stay, it still wasn’t working and they kept cleaning the room and entering our room, when we had asked them explicitely not to. We felt that our privacy wasn’t respected and we didn’t feel safe or comfortable. They hotel is relatively expensive, but this isn’t reflected in their service. We were offered a dinner at their beach club as compensation (we were allowed to order one main course and one drink) and had 5 different waiters and ended up receiving a bill anyway due to poor communication between the waiters. It was quite chaotic. The staff is incredibly kind overall, but kindness doesn’t fix everything in this case. We would choose to stay elsewhere another time. We did not expect this from a 4-star hotel.

Very good hotel. Well decorated. New rooftop pool very nice. App to book onto things and request services was very good. Breakfast nice and Soel waiter very good. Had food at the beach club one evening also and it was lovely food and beautiful views. Complementary sunset boat cruise was very good. Other complementary trips also available but we did not use. Spa nice. Some construction work going on opposite hotel but to be honest we barley heard any noise from it.

This is a lovely hotel: nice staff, immaculate rooms, lovely amenities, and of very nice quality. We had a lovely stay here, enjoying a complimentary sunset cruise one evening too! My only critique would be the beach club: it is very nice, pool is lovely, food is nice - but there is rarely a sun lounger, let alone two. I think with a hotel of this standard this is probably a necessity - we had to go away and come back on a couple of occasions just to get a bed, and in an area like Slimena, which is lovely but doesn’t have a lot of alternative options, this probably should be resolved. The new rooftop pool helps to combat this, but the sun lounger issue is the same there, and oddly used towels were used when we were there. A lovely hotel I would certainly recommend, but I think perhaps they should reconsider selling access to the beach club and rather just leave it to hotel guests in peak season to ensure there’s enough space for paying guests.

We reserved this hotel because of the swimming pool, thinking it was in the hotel premises. It is not. Is a club several blocks away, and anyone can go. It was extremely crowded all days.

Great hotel in a great location. La Plage beach club is a great way to soak up the Maltese Sun!
Rooms were lovely and the housekeeping staff are exceptionally attentive!

The hotel pool was situated across the road which was 2/3 minutes walk away and you could go into the sea as well which was great, but a few of the sun umbrellas were broken throughout my stay and hadn’t been repaired. The gym didn’t have much equipment and two of the items were broken. There was two power cuts for a short while on two occasions, no fault of the hotel I don’t think! The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful at the hotel and the pool area.
3.0
Lack of sound proofing in rooms, poor experience at beach club as towels and sun beds weren’t available on multiple days.

Excellent choice of hotel, will be back in October.
This year we have been on 2 trips both excellent.
Look forward to next visit.

We loved our stay. Great facilities and staff.

We stayed at 1926 for 4 nights in July. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The check in process was fairly smooth however we booked this as a VIP rewards property which it isn’t or at least the hotel is not aware of it.
Breakfast is nice but very limited, only a few items available. The gym has only 3 cardio machines and light weights in a cramped room.
The beach club gets very busy- no beds available if you come at 10:30, half is reserved for paying guests. Some space sometimes frees up in the afternoon.
The beach club restaurant as well as hotel restaurant offers hugh quality food- very impressive. Location is very good, 25 mins to the airport, boat trips and ferry to Valetta depart nearby.
2.5
Great hotel staff were very nice. Buffet breakfast was really good comapred to other hotels and had lots of vegetarian options. The hotel offered lots of complimentay trips which we took advantage of. The beach club was the main reason we booked the hotel and kt was great other than being a bit too busy on the weekend it was great with a nice pool and access to the sea.
5.0
The hotel staff are very pleasant and the beach club staff are exceptional. I paid extra for the option of having a beach club (5 min walk down from the hotel) so be able to relax after site-seeing. The spa is ok - sauna is a bit funky smelling and could do with renovation. Also, though there are signs asking for guests to be quiet, the hotel does nothing to stop loud groups taking selfies in the area - NOT relaxing at all.
This is pricey, but there are so many great food options in close distance (try Kebab Ji) so no need to eat in hotel restaurant or have their 25 Euro breakfast when there's a fabulous coffee shop at the end of the road. There is also a SPAR grocery store to buy bottled water.
The negative feed back is there is no sea view - the hotel is not sea front. You look into apartments and only if you strain your head to the left - you might get a glimpse so don't pay extra for something that doesn't exist.
The driver employed by the hotel for airport and excursions is great! Just be sure to book a day in advance as the few spaces get filled up quickly (note: there is no ride back from sites so you would have to Uber or public transport your way back)

Hotel was well situated, unfortunately a lot of building work going on in neighbourhood. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Occasional confusion with housekeeping over towels in bathroom - change not changed, removed and not replaced (minor issue as staff quick to remedy when asked/reminded).

Can highly recommend this hotel. Really nice beach club and spa area.

Everything was lovely! The room was spotless with really good air conditioning and very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely smelling soaps and shampoo great shower
The staff were really nice and helpful!
The on-site bar was really nice and the bartender made me a special cocktail to his recommendation which was such a lovely touch. The faculties such as spa areas and the beach club again were absolutely fantastic. Well priced too! All staff were always happy to help. A truely magical stay. Thank you hope to come back some time!

Great hotel
We stay often, however there's some very close heavy construction currently going on so a little noisy at the moment.
4.0
Overall enjoyed our experience. However, we experienced significant noise being on the first floor. We could hear noise from the lobby and there was noise coming from above. The noise from above resulted in us changing rooms for a night. When asked if we were on the side of the construction were told no, but found to be on that side come morning (room we moved to for a night). The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool/sauna is inside the hotel. It did not respect the 12 people maximum. The dry sauna can fit about 4 people and is very nice. The pool is on the cooler side. Overall, the pool/sauna services were good. The infinity pool is not attached to the hotel but down the street at a private beach club. We knew it was not open for the season. There are free activities available like yoga and one-way shuttles to locations on the island, depending on the day of the week. The location is good for dining and getting the ferry to Valletta.

Staff were super friendly. Rooms were very clean. An enjoyable stay.

Beautiful hotel, absolutely destroyed by constant, noisy building works that starts at 7am. Spa has gently playing Zen music accompanied by jack hammer.
Wouldn't go back to this hotel until finished, BUT I would use again once completed. A great pity that this vital piece of information wasn't on website before booking. In a built up area but actually was convenient for bars, restaurants and shops. Smallest balcony I have ever seen!

The staff were all extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was lovely and was kept very clean by the staff.
The restaurant was very good and served a very nice breakfast.
There was a lovely Spa and pool
The location was very good. Close to the waterfront, restaurants, bars and buses.
The only downsides were building works close by . . .

Overall a nice hotel in a good location for exploring Malta.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was ok however it was quite a small selection and got a bit samey after a few days

PROS
Nice sized room.
Staff are nice and friendly.
Spa had a jetted pool, heated ceramic bed, steam room & sauna available for use. This was a nice bonus since the outdoor pool wasn’t available.
CONS
The room I got was above directly above the kitchen, so I got to smell the grease and heard the vibration from the kitchen fans. I mentioned this to the front desk and one of the managers came up but I think he thought I was crazy and kindly said they would move me but were all booked up and he would look into this again but never got back to me. The room was also next to the service elevator / storage room so there was a lot of noise in the morning. Scaffolding outside my patio. Some construction in the hotel. The fire alarm went off twice during my stay.
The photo on the website is not completely accurate. It looks like you’re booking a waterfront property – but you’re actually two blocks away from the water. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was that it had an outdoor pool – unfortunately, it was closed for the season and not available. It is also two blocks away from the property.
Also advertised at booking through Expedia, is that I would receive a bottle of wine which I didn’t get. I would have asked about it at the time but forgot about this as I was dealing with the noise and smell issue.
Decent property, but I wouldn’t book it again.

Nice location, close to Restaurants, bars and public transportation (bus, ferry boats). Good breakfast (but rather British). Friendly staff. Too hot water (showering impossible) - would have wished that this is checked before. All in all good, but have been to better places.
2.5
Lovely hotel, located in a back street and very close to all amenities. Initial room was fine but we were woken early in the morning by the generator which kicked in due to a power cut. In fairness to the manager, we were moved to a room on the other side of the building. This room was of a higher standard than our booked one, which we had not expected but very much appreciated. All staff were extremely nice. Spa facilities were very relaxing, presumably if you want to swim then the outdoor pool in the summer is the thing to do. All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.
