Check in was quick and easy! Front desk was friendly, beds were more comfortable than previous places we have stayed at. Some of our towels had what looked like make up stains on them which was disappointing. Overall, not bad for the price though and you can’t beat the views surrounding you!

It looked like a rat hole at first and my wife she would pay for another hotel, just anything else please. I said, let’s not judge a book by its cover, at least men are around doing improvements.
Inside, the room was nice, clean and comfortable. As good as any mid priced room anywhere. Stay was fine, slept well.

Prospector Motel is rather old, but this is not necessarily negative. First of all, it is affordable while hardly anything else is in Silverton. The rooms are spacious (all of them have 2 Queen size beds), well lit and equipped with fridge and microwave. Very clean environment. Very comfortable bed. I really enjoyed my stay.

Needs last minute accommodation I was a bit apprehensive but the room was very clean no bed bugs and the staff was great

This was a very last minute booking for me and I had to find a place that was pet friendly. I found the Prospector and hit "book" the day before I was to arrive. There weren't many options in Silverton, in fact this is the only one I could find on such short notice. When I actually saw the property I wasn't super impressed and wondered what it was gonna be like inside. I gotta tell you like my momma did "don't judge a book by its cover". When I opened the door to my room I was shocked.....spotless. It was so super clean and I couldn't have been more pleased. Who would have thought that I would have liked this place so much. I was only there for a night but if you are looking for a room thats clean and in town, this would be a great place to start. Thanks Ya'll

It was ok

It was convenient to Silverton. But the shower floods the bathroom.

Always clean and always easy to work with because we typically come in late to register.

This motel is nicely renovated, with a few changes still needed, but definitely going in the right direction! Need to have recycling cans somewhere on the property, that's important.

Had to go offsite to check in, deadbolt did not work and as we were the only room occupied did not provide feeling of safety

All rooms are ground level, walk in showers make it easier for older or mobility challenged individuals.
Only complaint is room was too small for 2 full-sized beds .
Rooms have been renovated and clean.

Didn't know that breakfast was included. Found out when we checked in. Took awhile to figure out the 2 remote controls for the tv. Phone call to the phone # provided, left a message & they never called back. We finally figured it out. Room was a nice surprise. Very clean and fresh.

My worst experience ever.
There is no onsite office. You just drive a mile down the road to check in, or to talk to anyone if you have an issue.
I was here for work, and their wifi was not working I called several times. They said they were going to come down and reset it, but that never happened. Myself and my wife called several times, left several messages and no one ever called us back
The next morning I called hotels.com, and they were zero help. As I was loading up to leave a young lady showed up with the same wifi code, that did not work from the day before..
I ended up having to call my back to get my $933.00 back.
Hotels .com offered nothing
I lost 2 days pay to inconsiderate, disrespectful people with no integrity what so ever.
Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time and money staying here.

Good location but no chairs or table in room. No privacy as only window on public sidewalk on the main street. Paper thin walls. Heard neighbor’s TV all night long. Housekeeping did very good job. Stayed three nights. Rates too high for what you get. Would not recommend.

Great place to stay in Silverton, clean and quiet. Only complaint is that the mattress is memory foam and it is not very comfortable.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much. But the rooms are wonderful. Clean, great beds. You can tell it’s been recently updated. Bathroom was big! Lots of in room amenities

There is no air conditioning and it is mid-August with temperatures in the 80's. Being from the deep south, we are accustomed to heat, but we also have a contraption called an air conditioner. We had to open the windows to try and stay comfortable. However the garbage can sitting in front of our room filled the room with sour garbage odor. Over priced, and would be considered a "cheap motel" anywhere else in America. This room was a luxury price for much less than Motel 6 quality! In hindsight, sleeping in our car would have been preferable. Travellers beware!

Booked our trip last minute so not like I can really complain, however I normally wouldn't pay such a high price for a bargain basement motel. There isn't even an office on site, instead you have to check in to another hotel down the road. This place hands down had the most uncomfortable beds that we've ever slept on, and walls are paper thin so doesn't matter if its traffic out front or neighbors next door you are going to hear it all night long.

Stayed for 2 nights and at most motels when staying more than 1 night they come clean the room, make the beds, bring clean towels the next day but not here and we paid 2x as much as we did with the previous owner, and he took way better care of us! Kind of disappointing!

It was a pretty basic hotel. Not bad, but I'd just call it a place to sleep in an emergency.

We enjoyed our stay at Prospector Motel. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean, dated, and fairly comfortable. Bed squeaked quite badly but was comfortable when sleeping. The TV worked. There is coffee in the room. Plus a terrific breakfast offered down the street at a sister location: fresh coffee, juice boxes, milk boxes, a selection of mini cereal boxes, fresh bananas, packaged muffins and such. With a few locations claiming they cannot deliver promised breakfasts during Covid, this motel came through beautifully. Friendly, accommodating employees.

Clean and simple, nice added bonus of continental breakfast down the road. Might need to sleep with the window open as there is no AC, there is a fan in the room. All the necessities in a great location!

Easy in and out. Had to go a couple blocks to get a key & Check-in. WiFi was not very good at all.

Expect a very basic motel room- similar to 1950s style. Old furniture, thin walls, hard bed. Way over-priced because lodging in Silverton is so limited. On the plus side, the heat was good, satellite tv was good, breakfast had lots of choices and an excellent breakfast pizza slice.Wifi was ok but not for streaming.

The location is great, right in town. There was no one in the office. There was a note on the door saying to go to another hotel to check in. There was a half roll of toilet paper in the room. Thankfully, we had our own. The pillows ( 2 for a double bed) were as flat as can be. We didn't sleep well. The view is beautiful. Liked the celling fan.
