I do not recommend staying here. It was so uncomfortable, dirty and disgusting. Highly disappointed. I felt very deceived on arrival. This is not like a hotel stay at all. We could have stayed in our car over night and gone to a truck stop to take a shower and saved our money because thats the type of experience and comparable to the stay we had. Be prepared by bringing your bug zapper to kill all of the bugs flying around in the cabin, a duster to sweep all of the cobwebs, spiders and dead bugs away, bring shower sandals to use in the disgusting communal showers (that don't even have a hook to hold your towel while you shower or small bench for your change of clothes). I'm so upset this place was even an option on hotels.com. I will take the blame in not doing enough research beforehand.

Initially walking in, we were greeted with spider webs. We had to keep pulling them off our faces and out of our hair as we walked through the living room area, bunks and bedroom. They were in between the light/fan pulls, curtains, halls and doorways. Please note, they were not new webs. They were old, hanging and dusty, which tells me they have been there a while and the room just needs a good cleaning. Two receptacles had missing plates, exposing the outlet housing and one in the bathroom that was broken with the bottom missing. We had 4 lights that wouldn't work because the bulbs were burnt. The bathroom tub had no handle to turn the water on/off and the lever to close the tub drain was missing. To use the tub, I had to use a towel to turn the water on and off and I had to makeshift a drain plug/stopper. There were no towel bars on the walls, only holes in the sheet rock where they were. The towel bars, towel ring and screws were under the bathroom sink. There were only a few plastic store hangers I assume were left by previous guest. Before we could cook anything, we had to wash the pots, pans and utensils. They were visually dirty and when you touched them, they were greasy and there were dead flies in the cabinet. The floors throughout the unit were so dirty that the bottoms of our feet were black and the carpet in the bedroom had stuff on the floor and needed to be vacuumed. While walking the grounds, there was trash everywhere. Cans and bottles left in common

The description for this property was not at all explanatory enough! It definitely does not say there are no restrooms close the the sites…. It gives no directions to the restrooms upon arrival…. The security was absolutely not there…. They pretend to give you a code for the bathrooms however the doors are never shut…they give you a code for your door entry however the side door does not latch when shut so there is no secure safe place for your belongings or yourself!

I loved it! Will deff be back ! Easy access to the lake, and the resort is amazing and quiet.

The staff is so nice and accommodating, and I loved seeing the deer and foxes

My family and I enjoyed our stay here! It was a pretty well kept campground. We stayed in the cottage and was able to fi a queen size blow up bed in addition to the full sized bed already there. Only 'issues' we had were the pool needed a good cleaning and the a/c blew reaalllyyy hard straight onto the bed - but those are just minor issues. Overall we loved it!

BEWARE! I booked a room to stay for 2 nights because the website boasts beautiful photos of lake front swimming and we were prepared to spend three days swimming in the lake. The lodge cabin we were in was very nice, but there is no beach or swimming due to low lake levels. Also the swimming pool was being shocked when we got there and needed to sit for 24 hours before allowing swimmers in. We opted to play volleyball, but no balls were provided. Four hours after our arrival we asked to leave and be refunded or at least be given a discount.
We booked through hotels.com, who also tried the first night to reach management to give us a refund.
No apologies, explanations or refund, or even amending the misleading website were given by the Lakeview Resort.
The location is wonderful with wildlife and woods, but was not what we had signed up for.

Great location and very clean.

We came into town for a family reunion and booked 12 people in this cabin. We were disappointed to see that the "three bedroom plus sofa bed cabin" actually included two bedrooms, plus a bed in the middle of the common area, and a futon that would not fit one adult on it, much less two.
But the biggest disappointment was that the pool was closed, gated off, and full of algae. We had a full pool day planned with the kids that we were not able to do. I communicated with management at least twice before our arrival and there was no notification of the closed pool. When we arrived and saw that the pool was closed, we contacted management and they had no knowledge of any problem, and said that they would contact maintenance but no a room was taken. Very poor service that ruined our plans. This place was way too expensive for what it was, although it has potential.
There were also people yelling through the night. We will not be back.

The cabin and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. However the pool was green and had not been cleaned in a long time, also the WiFi advertised did not work in the cabins due to the strength being so low and unable to reach. I would definitely come back if the pool was actually available and the WiFi was working properly.

I like that it's close by the lake and the scenery is beautiful. I did not like that our cabin was hot diue to the central air not working and the pool was not working .

This is our second trip here. There are a lot of upgrades to the property from the last time we were there. The staff is super responsive. Great weekend trip and we’ll definitely be back again.

AC did not work properly. They need to update their picture of the lake. The pictures displayed are old are very misleading. Lake is very low and difficult to access. If you are going for the lake this not the best place. We did enjoy watching the deer.

There are no TV's in the cottage the bathroom needs a bench or shelves or hooks

There were no lightbulbs in the lamps and no trashcan in the unit. There's no designated parking for this type of unit, but plenty of parking for "hotel only". Walking from any parking to the unit required either walking through wet mud or a small hop between cement slabs at least 12 inches off the ground. Thats not too difficult if you have good balance and are not carrying a suitcase. Window a/c was so loud I could not sleep. I did not stay more than 2 hours. The unit was obviously new, but was furnished with 2 old, stained, dingy stuffed chairs. Bed was comfortable, but just about 4 feet from a/c.

Towels were all stained, old and looked dirty, there was barely any soap! Very noise

I had my family stay there while visiting me and I was embarrassed at the need for cosmetic improvements inside the rental. Large amounts of paint were stripped off the wall and the rental smelled musty. The location is nice but due to the condition of the unit, I will not be using it again.

The property was nice and quiet. I see a lot of construction around and am happy to see all the new areas that are being adding to the property. We did enjoy our stay even though we arrived late and left early the next day. I feel we did not have time to adequately enjoy all the offerings.

Nice place to stay

The property itself was beautiful and perfect location next to the lake. However, we had no towels at all upon arrival and water dripping from the ceiling in the kitchen the entire stay. Maintenance was there trying to repair it for most of the time, but the property refused to give us any type of refund for the inconvenience. As nice as the location is, I would definitely not recommend anyone staying here!

Just a quick getaway to celebrate our 50th bday. Too bad we didn’t arrive earlier to enjoy it more. The location is amazing! Will return one day.

This place had a room upstairs that connected to our room which the guest upstairs had full entrance to our room. The place had a bunch of cats that I’m allergic too and the unit was dirty.

The check-in process was a bit scary having just showed up and needing a place to stay right away. Everything worked out, though. Once in the property, we noted the following: 1) the hot tub needs cleaning; the filter and cartridge were out laying on the ground, and the unit needs some stairs; 2) the bathroom door near the front door was very difficult to close; 3) there were no paper towels, hand or dish soap; 4) the fireplace wasn’t working; 5) the flooring was warped in a couple places to the point of a potential tripping hazard; and 6) the ceiling fan in the bedroom by the front door stopped working. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice room plenty of room for family of 4. Kids complained about bunks said very uncomfortable but other than that it was nice.

Loud neighborhood. Room had multiple things damaged. All the amenities seem to be under construction or closed. Feels more like an air bnb not a resort.

We woke up to a foggy view of Canyon Lake and two Does nibbling grass and looking for food we could throw to them with the supply of pellets on top of our fridge the hosts obviously provided. It was really quite a sight to wake up to after driving all day and showing up late at night. Then the fog slowly burned off and the view was amazing. Bed was comfy and we slept well.

Location! Location! Location!
Beautifully located on Canyon Lake with deer and fowl all around; food provided to feed the deer even. Immediately upon arrival, our blood pressure lowered to a nice level of calm.
Unfortunately, half the lights in our unit did not work, the sofa sleeper was broken - the bar on the left side was laying on the ground, there was rust in the tub from the upstairs bathroom drain dripping into our bathroom… Not welcoming for a warm bath at the end of the day.
One of the draws for this property was their note that every unit was soundproof. The walls may be soundproof, the ceiling (on downstairs units) is not.
The gorgeous Whitetail Deer definitely were the highlight of the weekend, especially being able to feed them out of our hands.

It was wonderful! We enjoyed the porch, the size of the unit was perfect for us. Our pup loved it as much as we did!!

Deer abundant! Loved the deer feed surprise, allowed us to hand feed and interact with the wildlife!

Great stay! The view was amazing and amenities provided are great will defently stay again

The pool was wonderful. Low score due to overwhelming perfume/odor control smell. We had to open up door and widows to air out our room. The location and view is spectacular but room needs attention. Very outdated with stains around sink. New pillows and blankets needed. Towels were new and clean. A little bit more cleaning and new bedding would help greatly. We enjoyed feeding the deer. Thank you for the bag full of deer food.
