Cute hotel, comfortable rooms, convenient location. Only issues were 1) we tried calling 4 times to let them know flight was significantly delayed, and no one ever answered the phone, and 2) there is a frosted glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom, which means if anyone turns on the bathroom light, the bedroom is illuminated (which woke both of us up at different points during the stay).

Room was clean. Spacious for all my things. Bathroom was a good size. Windows open so I got fresh air. Bed was comfortable. No complaints. Would stay again.
5.0
Walking distance from Harvard Square and across the street from Porter subway station.
The hotel is very cool: ultra modern with retro fittings.

Very cute hotel, more affordable than others in the area, rooms were spotless.

Very difficult to find the hotel - not well marked especially at night time.

Pleasantly surprised by this small boutique hotel. I will return on my next trip to Boston.

This hotel was super cute, clean, and everyone was very friendly! I called ahead of time and they were able to get us in for an early check in. The bed was extremely comfortable! The room was small, but really didn’t need anything big. My friend and I were going to a concert at TD and just needed a place for the night. Also super convenient if you’re going to TD, the hotel was a 2 min walk from the commuter rail that takes you right into North Station.

Excellent spot for easy access to transit and urban but not too urban. Only housekeeping when requested. Fitness center way above average, especially for a small property. My room was super small but only needed for one person so manageable. Wish the “desk” was slightly bigger..just a shelf with stool.

We stayed at Hotel 1868 for one night. The hotel was immaculate with nice design details throughout. Our bed was very comfortable and we loved the rain shower head in the bathroom. The location was in walking distance to many restaurants and cafes, wish we had more time to explore the area.

Only issue was A/C blew right onto bed. Turning vents away would probably solve issue

We were there for one night to attend a wedding in the area -- friendly, clean and valet parking was available. Reasonable pricing for the area.

This is a great hotel and a great location, close to Harvard and train to downtown. We took the mini room and as expected it’s very small but has everything we needed, it was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel and we’ll be staying again if we go back to Boston.

We reserved a mini room and it lived up to its name! It was quite small but just fine for an overnight stay. It was very clean and a nice building. The bathroom was very small with little space to place toiletries, that was the main challenge but we made it work. The lobby was decorated nicely. There are many shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The parking is challenging in the area and it is valet parking only for the hotel itself. The parking price was reasonable for one night and we got our car quickly when requested. Overall I would recommend this hotel, just be aware that the mini room is tight.

Possibly the best hotel I've ever stayed in

Very convenient location right by the T and easy to walk to dining and shopping options. Interior design was nice, bed was comfortable, bathroom and shower worked well. The only downside was that the room was very small with minimal storage space (no closet in the bedroom, no cabinet in the bathroom, skinny desk with 1 small chair), so it was really cramped to have 2 people. This would be perfect for a short solo visit, but not ideal for longer stays with 2 people.

The hotel was clean but provided the bare minimum in supplies and services

Great modern hotel in Cambridge - loved it! Directly across from Porter Station T station. Wonderful coffee shop right next door - highly recommend the almond croissant!

This hotel was built only a few years ago and you can tell! It was incredibly quiet! The ceilings are high and the shower was so good. Also very convenient for walking to Harvard or taking the T in. There are cvs and Safeway across the street if you need anything.

Aesthetically pleasing room. Very little parking. Valet was not available when I arrived. Room is tight. Water was slimy during showering. Thin walls. Very few television options. No refrigerator. Average.

The rooms are very small but the proximity to Harvard’s campus, a mile away but closer to Harvard Law is great

Amazing stay. Really comfy beds. Completely renovated.

What we did not like is the height of the bed -too high. We are small people and it was dangerous to climb onto the bed. This has to be modfied

The hotel was clean and in a convenient location in Porter square, steps away from the T station. The hotel room is small but was fine for my needs.

2nd stay at this hotel. It's convenient to Harvard Sq and the Red Line into Boston. Room is quiet, hotel is modern, coffee shop is excellent. Only complaint this time: the room was really small: one chair (more like a bar stool); shower and sink are the same space (and the only bathroom plug is there), no place to put a suitcase except the entrance. In the future, avoid the room next to the elevator.
