Hi! Great hotel. Very modern, cute, and a perfect spot to stay for visiting wineries as well as making a day trip over to the coast / Cannon Beach. Quaint little town and several great restaurants all within 3 blocks of the hotel. Loved the vibe and our stay. Also appreciated the endless free espresso in the lobby!

The Atticus did not disappoint ! We stayed in the Penhouse because our adult son was joining us. The room is fabulous! The staff is professional and friendly. The restaurant is a. five star Mediterranean food in my book. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic! Can’t wait to return.

The hotel is nicely furnished/designed, really well-appointed and in a great location to the downtown area. Restaurant was good for a casual dinner. The staff was really nice/helpful with suggestions for what to do. The only issue was our room on the 2nd flor was right above the restaurant and noisy. We could hear them emptying the trash into the dumpster and then the garbage truck came early the next morning. They apologized and tried their best to keep the noise to a minimum.

I messed up my reservation and arrived two days early for two days when I only had signed up for one. Not only did the accommodated us. They also upgraded our room, and then at check out discounted the room because it was so much more than I expected to pay. An overall great experience

Fantastic boutique hotel with great service and attention to detail. Start w a glass of bubbly upon arrival, a fireplace in the room, great art on the wall, super comfy bed and robes, French press coffee and loose leaf tea for the morning and all the nuts you care to crack and eat. I had a chance to meet one of the owners and they were friendly and fun to chat with. I won’t stay anywhere else in the valley.

Room was very nice & comfortable, though the sheet & blankets had been tucked in way too far for anyone over 5’ tall…easy fix, just odd! Staff was super & went out of their way to see to our wants….would definitely stay there again. We had a super breakfast at the restaurant too…highly recommended!

Did pretty extensive research of the hotels in Willamette Valley, and Atticus was the easy winner with good location, gorgeous decor and excellent reviews. We were expecting a great stay, but we did not get one. We received a text in the morning instructing us to remove the do not disturb sign if we wanted housekeeping from 10AM to 4PM. Since we followed instructions carefully, we did not expect any issues with housekeeping. We returned to our room at 4PM, and no one came by. I informed Dia at the front desk about this, and she said they were busy. Unfortunately, missing housekeeping even after guests follow instructions is pretty terrible. Giving a lame excuse that they were too busy is unacceptable.
We started our night rinsing out our kettle and tea cups, fixing our own bed, hanging our towels and making room in the trash. Not our idea of a great stay for $400 per night, and definitely not the standard of a "No. 6 Hotel in the World" or a "luxury hotel" they push so hard to be in their marketing. Please consider this and other reviewers who had the same problem when considering a luxury stay in Willamette Valley.

The hotel is centrally located and was a lovely place to stay. The staff was wonderful. The Cypress restaurant within the hotel served delicious food and the service was fantastic, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Property was nice and staff was very welcoming. The negative was that the elevator was broken during our entire visit and we had to lug our luggage up 3 flight of stairs. we should of receive some monies back for this.

Tops: good location in the middle of the center. Hotel and rooms nice decor. Friendly staff at reception desk and restaurant. Good quality food.
Tips: put a Willamette Valley white wine by the glass on the restaurant menu

Had a 2 night stay at The Atticus while on vacation and found it to be a mixed bag. Attention to detail was SORELY lacking for a hotel at this price point such that I would not recommend staying here. Definitely not worth it.
Plus:
- Beautiful decor both in rooms and lobby...I want whoever did this hotel to work on my house!
- Great location right in the middle of downtown McMinnville with tons of stuff nearby
- Was greeted with sparkling wine upon check-in
- Complimentary espresso drinks were perfectly prepared and a nice bonus
- Cool history and associated documentation
Minus:
- During my first shower, I noticed the body wash was empty and had not been refilled. Unacceptable to not have been checked during room preparation.
- Not sure where it was coming from, but I could hear TONS of loud foot traffic above our room. Either our upstairs neighbors were jumping around a lot or the building design carries sound from other areas (hallways? stairways?)
- Thermostat struggles to reach its target temp while set to AC
- No parking other than paid valet, which is annoying
- Shower does not have a door, which is something that always bugs me
- Big stain on carpet of our room near entrance, nicks on wall paint did not make the room feel as premium as it otherwise would have
- Bathroom does not have an exhaust fan and steams up during showers
- Wine glasses were not washed/replaced during daily housekeeping which was unacceptable
- Pillows not great (not nearly firm enough)

The Atticus has become our go to place to stay on our trips to the Willamette Valley. Rooms are large, and interestingly decorated. The hotel's location is central to the to the region, and a great array of restaurants are literally right around the corner.
