not a great value. I paid $50 USD off-season on a Monday night. Internet really is non-existent (I think the bandwidth was being eaten by staff where my room was close to, but it still was bad off hours). Breakfast was basically coffee. Nobody was around when I showed up at 5p to check in. I had to call a number taped to the door. check out is 11a. better places.

Excellent, nice and helpful staff, loved the pool area right outside the door and the breakfast area (and the breakfast). Great stay far enough from the noise of the center but not too far to walk there. Big supermarket one block away, very nice stay. Will come back! Only two smaller remarks was that it was quite dark in the bathroom and no hot water but after being in the sun all day that didn’t matter. :)

The Hotel itself was nice because of less rooms, a very simple provided breakfast and a good location to go nearly every without needing a transportation. The staff was friendly.
Besides that there was a huge problem with mold in the rooms and the way the hotel handled it. We had a big area with mold between our beds. We asked the staff for a new room and immediately the saw the problem and tried to help. After they opened the next room a cat came out of the locked room. The room smelled like it hasnt been open for a month and every other free room had the same problem. Because of this we asked the manager for a discount but the only thing we got offered was to leave the hotel. This is not how you handle your guests.

It was a quaint little place, very cute boutique hotel with breakfast in the morning and free water. Nice pool and loungers to relax in.

Lovely clean pool. Small hotel, rooms straight onto pool. Breakfast included, simple but fine.

Pictures do not represent thecurrent condition. Queen beds are really double beds. A good place to meet native speakers.

Considering price this was a good choice. Quiet, decent continental breakfast included, accommodating staff, and walking distance to ferry. Just not much around but found a great taco place on Ave 30–Taco 100

Quiet friendly place, clean comfortable rooms, lots of hot water and cool AC after a long day out and about. Comunal kitchen is supplied with breakfast items and is a great place to exchange experiences with other travelers.

We really enjoyed our stay here because the staff were so kind, especially Mario. Cozumel itself is very safe but this property is very safe and we never felt threatened.

It’s a real boutique hotel. Nothing fancy. Very clean and comfortable, the pool was nice. The property has a full kitchen area that is shared with the guests, which makes it good for longer stays to prepare your own meals.
At the time that we booked, they are doing construction, adding a second floor to the hotel. It was extremely noisy during the day with the construction. It was impossible to stay in the room, or even really hang out by the pool.

The hotel was mostly fine, and the staff was friendly. It was a little run down and our room definitely had a musty smell. I could recommend the place, if not for that.

Great service and attention, always attentive to our arrival and helpful with directions. Pleasant stay!

Very simple yet nice place in the heart of things-not in middle of touristy area but within walking distance-nice pool and staff-would definitely stay here again

Hotel is simple but nice and well located. Short walk to Main Street and other restaurants. Pool was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Most of the front desk staff speaks English. I would stay there again.

Kinta Kan is an off the beaten track place. They have nice grounds and basic rooms. The room we stayed in was right next to the lobby. I'm not sure if other rooms would have the same problem, but it was very loud in our room with lots of people taking. Although they were outside it sounded like they were in the room with the windows and doors shut. It was fine for a one night stay, but I wouldn't stay long term

We stayed here during our scuba diving days. Located close to the city center and harbor which makes it easy to go around. Very fair price compares to the quality!

The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. The pool area is nice and the staff let us leave our bags for a few hours at the front desk. Ots a ten minute walk to the ferry and water front.

This is a good basic place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable but not fancy, Good shower pressure and hot water. The pool area was nice with some loungers available. Some have complained about noise from the way all rooms face the pool but I didnt experience any problems. The free breakfast is enough to start your day: cereals, juice, coffee, toast and jams, fruit, granola bars, etc. Receptions staff was very helpful. They spoke English and allowed me to leave some of my luggage with them while I went on an excursion after check out. The hotel is enclosed from street noise an was quiet. The entrance is pretty inconspicuous in a residential area so be sure to get the address. It was about a 5 minute walk to the water and it was very convenient for reaching the ferry dock. For the price I would recommend Kinta Kan for a good, clean, comfortable basic stay.

We had a pleasant stay at kinta kan, only downside: sinks and showers leak so it was a bit of a water ballet every time we used the bathroom.

I reviewed this property three weeks ago when we went there for three nights and we highly recommended it then! This time we liked it even more! We were able to get a room with a King sized bed and it was FAR superior to the regular room we had before. This room had a table to put your things on, a chair to sit in and a super comfortable bed! There was a mirror on the wall above the bathroom sink (not a tiny 8" X 10" mirror leaning against the taps as before) and Daniel at the front desk was a BONUS. He explained many things to us about the culture in Cozumel and suggested some restaurants in the area that serve delicious food. He also ordered a taxi for us and secured the price when we headed to a Beach Club. If we go back to Cozumel, we will book the Kinta Kan Boutique Hotel for sure!

We stayed for three nights and were impressed with the layout (all rooms opened to the sunny pool area) of the hotel. The space was utilized very well. We liked the cooling effect of all the tall hibiscus and other leafy and floral trees along the short 10 foot, straight path from the street that leads directly to the small lobby. We arrived 4 hours earlier than check-in, hoping just to leave our bags until the 3 PM check-in time and they sped up the cleaning process and got our room ready for us! They called taxis for us twice and the breakfast, although high-carb, was at least something to tide you over for a couple of hours (cereal, toast; no fruit). I did not like that the only mirror in the room was 8" X 10" and was just leaning behind the bathroom faucet (pretty difficult to use a curling iron while holding a mirror in one hand and there is nowhere to prop it up). "Splurging" for a larger $10 mirror above the sink would be really nice. Otherwise, we loved our stay at Kinta Kan and will be back there in a couple of weeks for more. The pool was a perfect temperature, beds were fine, internet worked well, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the location is perfect! (maybe three blocks straight toward the ocean and then another pleasant stroll past "Wet Wendy's", the Scotiabank, lots of stores and you're at the main square). We looked forward to seeing all the animals others mentioned, but there was only one super friendly cat! Thumbs UP!

Our experience is not typical. Because of unforeseen circumstances we could not stay in our booked room, but the owner generously made whole apartment available to us!!

Quite a nice little hotel in a quiet area of town, about ten minutes walk to the central plaza. Very friendly staff and nice courtyard/swimming pool area. Only downside was that since all rooms face the courtyard and the windows/doors are not soundproofed, the noise level can be a little high.
