My husband and I took a spur of the moment get away to Luray. The Inn was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. Art was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to help us have the best experience. We received a special treat when Linda, Art's sister, stopped by on her travels. She was very sweet and cooked an amazing breakfast casserole! He is very knowledgeable with the surrounding area from hiking trails, areas of interests to restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed our stay!

Art was super helpful from the second of our arrival to our departure. He helped provide a wonderful memory. The next time I travel to that area - I'm staying there!

The Inn is very cozy and comfortable. Art was very hospitable and really took care of us. The morning breakfast was freshly made and tasted awesome.
My only negative comment is that there are not many places to eat that are walkable, and most close very early. There is a nice steak/chop house next door but closes at 8:00 pm.

The Inn of the Shenendoh was a fabulous place to stay. We were greeted by Art as we arrived and he was very thorough in walking us through everything and making sure the accommodations were acceptable. Art provided good suggestions on local restaurants and activities. A wonderful place to stay.ad

Spent 2 nights here over Memorial weekend. As soon as we arrived Janina warmly welcomed us and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Turret suite, which had a king size bed, jacuzzi, and a separate reading/tv alcove.
The jacuzzi was an enjoyable detail after a long day of hiking. There are bath salts provided as well.
Janina cooked us breakfast each morning and we enjoyed the hearty breakfast before our hikes. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Shenandoah.

What a lovely Inn! Beautiful, inviting with old world charm, character and good location! Our host was so cheerful, helpful, and offered gracious hospitality!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in our beautifully appointed suite. Enjoyed the local restaurants and the wonderful Shenandoah countryside.

Janina and Matthew were the perfect hosts. We quickly felt like old friends. The Inn was just what we were looking for and was the perfect base of operations for exploring Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive) and the surrounding valley area. Lurray was a friendly and quaint village. The inn was historic, architectural pleasing, clean, and breakfast was consistently excellent, including the conversations that helped up organize our day and appreciate the beautiful area that we were visiting. We will stay there again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Inn for a long weekend and had a great stay! The inn was so nice and cozy. The jacuzzi tub was a nice touch. And the location is great! The caverns, national park and the little town of Luray were all amazing. Made for a very enjoyable and memorable weekend!

Beautiful and charming. The owners were so accommodating and thoughtful. Very close to shopping and dining. A perfect weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed our brief stay. Hosts Janine, Matthew, and Larry were wonderful. They catered to our every need and offered great recommendations. Our room had a huge whirlpool tub that was perfect after a long day of hiking. All in all a delightful place located near hiking, distilleries, wineries, and tons of other things.

Janina and Matthew were so welcoming, and it's such an elegant, but homey property. Very comfortable, clean, and they were so accommodating in every way. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub after a long hike in Shenandoah park! I highly recommend!

This place is a gem. The town is lovely and is in an awesome location. Lots of little restaurants nearby and Luray Caverns about 5 minutes away. What makes this property extra special is the couple that runs it. Matthew and Janina were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond with their hospitality. They even served hot chocolate to my 6-year-old nephew who stopped by to visit... which was so kind. Breakfast was served hot with a smile in the mornings by Janina and Matthew is a wealth of knowledge regarding things to do nearby. My husband and I were visiting for Thanksgiving weekend. We would certainly return again.

We had a fabulous stay at this cozy inn with European charm, loads of amenities, a homemade breakfast, and a lovely host who made us feel comfortable and welcomed. We will definitely return, perhaps in the fall to take advantage of the changing foliage along Skyline Drive and enjoy a bit of antiquing in the shops of Luray.

Really nice people. Matthew and Janina could not have been more hospitable. They accommodated my late check in, early breakfast and made me a really nice box lunch for my kayak trip. Had a really great time!

This bed and breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Matthew and Janina were so nice and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed. The room we stayed in was the stained glass suite and it was amazing and spacious. Whenever we go back to Shenandoah, we will check and see if they have any rooms available first before booking anywhere else.

Matthew and Janina (ya’Nina) were wonderful host the house was everything you would want from a bed and breakfast, we stayed in the turret room and it was romantic and cozy. Out stay was pleasant and breakfast and conversation was equally great. Matt and I would highly recommend this fir anyone traveling to Loray, absolutely take the host recommendations on what to do in their city! Thank you again! We look forward to a summer stay.

We enjoy b & b’s. Each has its own charm as does this one. A plus is that this one is the first that we have stayed in that had enough electrical outlets. The bed was quite comfortable. Great location. Breakfast was tasty. The place was very covid friendly. And Megan, the host was quite pleasant and informative.
We would be pleased to stay here again.

Very friendly hosts, nice place, spacious. Two downsides: a terrible, terrible bed in the French Cottage. Had a hard time sleeping. And wasn’t really enthusiastic about the breakfast. Prepared with love, but not quit my taste.

Stately property, great service! We were welcomed to a friend’s home.

It is an old property in a historic district that has been renovated. The room we stayed had a king bed with an mediocre mattress, window and door blinds that were so tacky it was literally fabric from the dollar store. They were semi transparent and no way to shut off the light completely. Add to this we were supplied with ear plugs to sleep at night cos of the voluntary fire department siren going off at all hours and trains that pass next door that blare their horns two to three times at night. The floors were uneven and creaky, furniture that was old and semi comfortable. Breakfast was just adequate. The owners were kinda nice but appeared to take away stuff as they were being used. On the first day we had Keurig coffee which I use at home and it was gone the next day, replaced by a pot of brewed coffee!
We paid a lot of money, well over 500 dollars for 2 days for an accomodation that was not upto par. There are so many better places out there. Not a comfortable or a cozy place.

Enjoyed our stay tremendously. We were in the cottage and found it to be very charming. We only booked one night but wish we had booked two. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious.

What a great stay in a historic building, nicely updated and with a gracious innkeeper (Megan). Just a few minute drive to Luray Caverns and about 20 minutes up to the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Several decent places to eat nearby and a hearty breakfast included at the Inn. Would definitely stay again if we go back to the area.
