Staff were fabulous, all so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.

Highly recommend, easy walk to station and town and easy bus trip to Westonbirt. Good room and breakast.

I stayed here for four nights as I was participating in a course which was under a mile away. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. The food was excellent. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Very friendly staff and a great stopover on route to Cornwall

Clothiers grwat place to stay

We had never stayed in a pub before, so this was for experience. It was enough room for all 3 of us. The room was not fancy but was comfortable. The shower was very tight and I can imagine it would be difficult for bigger people. The complimentary breakfast was nice. However, we had one dinner at this place and was terrible. Another odd thing happened to us was one morning before 8 am, we heard some really loud continuous banging noise like in a construction site. The noise was coming right under our floor. I looked out the window and saw a truck were loading or unloading metal beer barrels. I guess beer is the bread and butter of a pub so they have to make sure beer is in stock. I thought if they could do the loading after 9am would be more reasonable.

Excellent stay all round. Both the evening meal and breakfast were very good.

Friendly reception. Can’t comment on evening food as I was working until 2330. Breakfast was good

Lovely setting, close to centre, friendly staff, great breakfast included in the price.

Superb quality of service. Excellent food. Great value for money. Spacious accommodation. Fine pub with well kept ale and efficient bar staff and management.
We will be back for sure.

Only stayed the one night as down for the football, but it was still a great experience. Staff, especially the manager, were excellent, the breakfast was great and the location is ideal for both driving and the train station. Really lively pub atmosphere too, quite rare these days.

Nice breakfast, room was at top towards the back so quiet for a pub or hotel room. Staff were friendly and helpful. So good all round.

Have stayed here often, usually rooms above bar.
This time in an annex at the rear of the pub-- surprisingly
not quieter--- loud bangs, woken at 1.30 a.m., locks
rattling, and continued on and off all night. such a
shame as rooms are very clean and staff lovely.

Thought was very poor. Room not up to standard. No ensuite. Bathroom dated cold and floor wet. Across corridor. Doir sticks so had to bang - not good during night. No heat in towel rail so towels remain damp. Very grey looking towels- supposed to be white
Poor selection at breakfast
Generally a very poor experience. Not worth the price

Wonderful place with great food! Comfortable and clean room. Beautiful views and lovely surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back.

Not ideal if you want a quiet night, busy road very noisy and room over the bar was not the best and nosey also. Very old deco

It was a great place to stay for night while traveling. Clean, quiet, fresh and the staff were top notch. Great locals to visit with in the bar and great fish and chips in the pub. Highly recommend.

Stayed just for one night to break the journey from Cornwall back to Lancashire. Nice friendly place large free car park. Had a very good dinner but had to wait along time for the main course as it was very busy. Very good breakfast and even a sausage for our dog.

Very easy and accessible parking, Nicely apportioned rooms above a vibrant pub. Breakfast (from 8:00) was excellent. Staff are very friendly and a good actress to Stroud town centre.

The best Pub/Hotel I have stayed in.
Fantastic friendly helpful staff and the food was amazing quality.
The room was spotless quite.
Well done to Harry and his staff my rating is 10/10 and I will stay there again.

Harry and the staff were great! Dinner and breakfast were marvelous, Within walking distance to the Farmer's Market and Shambles Market.

The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was great. However, the shower didn't work in our room, and the lock on the bathroom door was faulty, so I was nearly locked in. I had to wash my hair under the bath tap and there was no hairdryer. When I asked on reception the lady said 'there was a hairdryer in the room, but not anymore.' Normally I wouldn't mind, but I was doing a festival panel that day so I would've appreciated a hairdryer. The hotel is billed as four star, so the amenities should be there.

Friendly reception and staff. Our room was seemingly on ground level but was accessed via several steps by way of the door leading to the Top car Park - otherwise the stairs from the Bar area are steep. The bed was very comfortable and TV was a good size, Clean and fresh room but the shower water flow is weak.

Nice pub, good food, clean rooms and good breakfast. Perfect for what we wanted.

They allowed us to check in early as our room (Meadow) was ready. Tidy room with a private patio, some garden furniture and parasol. Small WC and shower room, although the water pressure was low in the shower. Very nice bar area with 3 real ales, along with the usual lagers etc. In the morning we had one of the best cooked breakfasts for a long time, served by very friendly staff.

Good value for money, conveniently situated, staff is friendly and helpful, and quality of food is excellent.

We chose the Clothiers as it was close to the station - what a nice surprise! Warm welcome, helpful staff and a comfy room (loads of room inc. private outdoor space and a nice en suite). It’s all about the breakfast - a generous full English, with eggs cooked to order and all the trimmings. Bedrooms are well away from the pub area so the sound was no bother. Plus it’s a very decent pub! Thoroughly recommended.

The room I was in was located just to the side and above the main bar of the pub. It did get a little noisy at times but that quickly cleared at closing time. The room was clean and tidy with tea/coffee making facilities. My room had a separate private bathroom which was located across the hallway. It was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent, though the morning staff do seem to be very busy so service was a little slow. All the staff I spoke to were extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Stroud town centre.
Overall my experience was very positive hence the overall rating.

Lovely staff, room was clean and well presented. Bed and pillows too soft for my preference. Patio was ideal for my overnight stay, nice to sit out in the sunshine. Hairdryer lacked any umph or heat so advise you take your own. Can’t comment on the breakfast as served between 7.30 and 8.30 weekdays, and more beneficial for me to have a lie in as a pleasure trip. Ideal for those on business. Weekends served until 10, so a more leisurely approach. Would consider again for an overnight stay.

Booked for 2 nights. Griffin Room was an uncomfortable night for us. Continuous buzzing/droning noise all night from kitchen extractor (i am sure this would have been ok for many others)but we got very little sleep. Spoke to a member of staff at breakfast who immediately got us moved into Ebley Room for our second night. Perfect nights sleep! I love places that if there is a problem they do their very best to get it sorted.
Staff at this B&B are excellent.
Very quick service at the bar, always smiling and helpful.
Breakfast good. Did not use the restaurant, but had a bar meal which was good. Lovely outside area with plenty of seating
Cleanliness overall was very good, but it is an old building so has a few small areas that are looking tired.
Would definitely stay again when next in Stroud.

Clean, friendly and welcoming place to stay. The pub was busier than expected, but noise stopped after 11 pm. and one expects noise in a pub (In fact I enjoyed the singing) food good, beer good.

Lovely stay within walking distance of town centre. Came to go to Stroud market on the Saturday. Pub was lovely. Very busy with locals. Breakfast excellent
