Excellent getaway stay! Quiet and relaxing!

This was a beautiful well kept property. The check in was flawless and our 1 bedroom was fabulous.
The only problem was checking in late and discovering house keeping was gone and no sheets were to be found for the pull out sofa bed! Security finally delivered!

Very busy resort
Upon checking in
They make it a sales tactic for their timeshare
And you have to go to 3 different desk to get
1. Checked in
2. Parking pass
3. Activity voucher
All with different lines
The water park is not included in the nightly rate stay
They don’t explain the recreation passes that you have to have to go to the pools
It’s like you are thrown into it and left to figure it out
Not enough time for that if it’s a weekend trip

Amazing place. Will definitely make this an annual holiday trip

There were dead bugs everywhere in my room. It made me paranoid of what else might be there. The back patio door was left open to invite more bugs in as well! In addition, I didn’t get any shampoo or conditioner just 6 bars of soap. When I asked the front desk the next day, they didn’t give me any and said they asked the question? I stayed for 4 days and paid a good amount of money for a less than mediocre experience. The room itself was spacious, sure. But that didn’t matter to me. I was there for a funeral and just wanted an “escape”. I’ll be looking elsewhere next time.

Booked on Hotels.com. As soon as we're checking in we get thrown to the wolves! I was not expecting to be hadsled with timeshare nonesense when I was there to attend a wedding. I was able to get away unscathed.

The surrounding area beautiful. Lots of nature and great activities at the resort. The condo needed work on replacing the bedroom ceiling fan didn’t work bulbs in the bathroom out. There was lots of towels. Down fall would be the many ants that was I. The kitchen, den and bathroom. I called the resort and they came out traps down.
Just crawling all over the place. Everything I put down and picked back up ants. We didnt cook or have food out. Only drinks in the refrigerator. I could feel them
Crawling on me and look down and mash a ant

The only bad thing was the Woodstone pool opens late at 11 am

Took forever to get someone to fix a carbon monoxide alarm and that ruined the whole trip. Hearing a loud beep every 30 seconds is not relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Massanutten Resort. The resort offers many amenities and activities however everything must be purchased separately. I wish they offered an all inclusive option for families. The prices are high, but I guess that's as expected for a four seasons resort. The indoor waterpark was awesome! Getting to see the wildlife right off the balcony was amazing, everything from deer and groundhogs to birds and skunks! Gorgeous mountain views, secluded peaceful and quiet! (aside from the stomping loud neighbors in the condo above). P.S. Be prepared to drive at least 20 minutes away to find Walmart, food lion or any other everyday store... Besides the 7-Eleven at the entrance to the resort, which was very convenient!!! Overall great resort, highly recommend and will likely return!!!

The bed broke on the evening we were going to leave. The maintenance man who tried to help us was absolutely fantastic. He did what he could considering the late hour. However the main office never bothered to check in with us after I made the issue. We didn't expect anything major with recompensation or anything, but the thought would have been nice.

Check in takes a little bit and there was a miscommunication with the dates. We double checked with the front desk and they said it fine and they had the right dates. We walked into the room and saw a light fixture hanging from the ceiling. Then we wnet onto the deck and there was rotting boards that were not safe to be on. After furthing looking into the room it wasnt the cleanest either. We continued our stay and the next day we recieved a message saying we had checked out even though we had another night. After calling the front desk and them saying it was a glitch in the system we went back to our rooms to discover our keys had been deactivated. So we had to go the whole way back to the welcome center to get new keys. The staff wad helpful but it was very inconvenient to deal with all of this. Hopefully they fix things and clean it up a little better. Other than that we had a good stay

The accomodations were good. Two concerns.
1) I coiuld not get the fireplace to work. That would have been nice to have in the cold weather at night.

My Husband and I really enjoyed this property. We picked this location for our Honeymoon and had a great time. The area was clean the house was perfect

This room felt dated and worn; although there are others that are nicer. Pool hours were not conducive to using the facility. Will probably not stay here again as I paid a huge resort fee and didn't use the resort at all.

The room looked clean, however there was a dead bug in one of the drawers in the kitchen, mouse droppings on the counter and in the kitchen sink and mosquitoes, spiders and a worm in the living room as there was a large gap under the front door. This was whole we were there, and no food was left out.

The resort activities are great and the staff were friendly and responsive. The condo unit was clean and had everything we needed. However, the mattresses in the sofa beds are worn out and need replacement. The Direct TV connection was terrible, buffering constantly That aside, we look forward to returning.

Great resort with lots to do. Booked a 1 bedroom and got a town house with a suana for the same price. It worked out

What can I say, my stay at the resort was a great experience. There was so much to do and not once did I get bored. There was a great selection of food, activities for adults and kids and the water park was amazing. I would definitely stay again.

I like the area.
I did not like the room I was staying, it was filthy dirty, carpet and sofas were smelling crazy, could not walk and sit around without shoes and room freshener. Very limited activities to do..

Overall it was a very bad expiriance! The condo was oudated, dirty, the AC wast't working proparly. The staff decided to clean the condo below at 8am..and they were very loud,no common sence at all. We stayed only one night instead of 3. On the top of that we were denied any communication with the front desk..noone picked up the phone ,not any compensation or refunds. They just ignored us and it was very rude :( They were playing a hot patato game..tripForth,Expedia and the resort. Noone wanted to take responsibility.. Never again !

Check in was easy. Resort was very nice. Room was clean and nice. No complaints not new but still nice. Do not eat in restaurants cost is crazy. Breakfast and supper was over hundred dollars. Over all resort is very nice. They just need to give you more info about where stuff is. We will go back.

So much potential to be brilliant with the facilities on site but currently the accommodation is quite tired.

The buildings, appliances, and furniture was old. The unit was dirty on arrival with toilet, bed frame and refrigerator stains. There was a massive water leak from the ceilings from the top unit during the visit.

This unit was dirty and did not have a stove/oven or dishwasher.
We have reserved condos through Massanutten in the past, but this unit was not up to par. There was grease on the floor of the kitchen and dried toothpaste smeared above the toilet. The couch had food (look) stains, and so did the carpet.
We responded to their email (strive for 5) and told them about the problems, requested a cleaning, and they said they would relay the request, but no cleaning occurred.
Then, we discovered the kitchen was only on one circuit.. you can’t run the microwave and toaster oven simultaneously. Luckily we figured this out before leaving for the day because the fridge would have been off!

It wasn't what I expected. Not much to do if you don't play golf. The condo was very nice but the beds were hard as a rock.
3.0
It was ok and clean. Online suggests it is a 4 star property, I would say 2 1/2 is more like it. Restaurants and property grounds were really nice.

DON'T waist your time and money!!! Around 2 weeks before the trip received many phone calls, sometimes twice a day from the resort trying to convince me to participate in a "resort tour" which basically was a selling presentation of their timeshares but I declined.
I rented a one bedroom condo through Tripforth and the pictures on Expedia looked much better than what I found in person. I found big stains on the sofa, the 4 dinning chairs sits ripped, no stove, decks completely cover in years of dirt, the wood was cracked and had splinters, grill on the deck had mold, mold in the bathroom wall and doors, including the front door had gaps! You could see through the front door! Not safe at all.... I complained to the front desk and a very unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist told me she was sending someone to 'check' the dirt and clean the mold. I told her the decks needed powerwashing, the mold needed to be removed and not superficially clean, and the doors needed to be replaced. It would be nice if they had offer us to move into a decent unit but I realized we were stuck in that dump for the rest of our trip. They didn't show any interest in making their customers happy regardless if you were buying a timeshare or not. We decided it was not worth to stay in a place like that, so we left a day earlier. We never felt so happy leaving early during a vacation. It's OVERPRICED!!

It was disappointing the toilet clogged, the shower head and whirlpool were rusty and dirty. Half of the things in the kitchen didn't work. The bathroom door kept getting stuck which made alot of noise at night trying to open it.

The amenities and area around the resort is excellent!!

The fact that the property is up in the mountains was beautiful and peaceful! I absolutely love the property! I loved seeing the wildlife (deer family) outside my door and along the roads. I'm a nature lover so this trip was just what I needed. Only thing I disliked was not having more restaurant choices although the food at Campfire Grille was amazing! Thanks!

The area was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The unit was not maintained or cleaned well. Stains were on the couch, dining chairs, and outdoor chairs. Bleach stains on the carpet. The bathroom was falling apart. (Literally) The vanity was rotting, the wall by the shower was cracking because of water damage because the shower curtain was three inches too short, and a caulk job on the vanity was less than professional. Everything was outdated and needing upgrades. So our 46th anniversary was not what we hoped for or expected for our accomodations.
