We had a lovely stay at Senhora da Rosa. The staff were lovely and helpful and the facilities were great. The pool and spa area was really nice; we had a lot of it to ourselves as most people are out exploring the island. Staying in Ponta Delgada was a great way to explore the island. It was a nice peaceful area although quite a long walk which is just something to bear in mind as we did find it better to eat out during the day and just have something from the bar menu on an evening as it was nice and chilled and had a great selection of cocktails.

Lovely hotel, very nice room and friendly helpful staff
Located in residential suburb of Ponte del Garda

This was a lovely hotel with beautiful accommodations and friendly and helpful staff. You can really tell they select and train toward global hospitality. We appreciated the environmental efforts made. Food in the bar and Magma restaurant was very good for the most part. The pool was welcome and my husband enjoyed the spa. Having spacious forested grounds inside the city was special. Service in the bar area, even when slow, could have been better. It was highly priced in August, especially for a single hotel room with no couch, kitchenette, etc.

I’m sorry to be snobby but when you book a five star resort you expect a different class of hotel. This hotel has the bones to be great(and probably was at one point), but the upkeep and overall quality pales in comparisons to other five star hotels in the region.
The hotel is a beat down version of a five star hotel and needs a new owner who will invest into its success.

Everything was so lovely!! The hotel was on a beautiful property with lots of great amenities and plenty of parking!! The pádel court was such an added bonus and the whole thing felt like a secluded little paradise. The only thing I would point out is that there is no conditioner so maybe bring your own. Thank you Senhora da Rosa for a lovely stay!

We loved our 2-night stay! The rooms and property were beautiful! We felt very spoiled by the home made toiletries, the spa facilities and the kind staff. We had the family room - there was tons of space to spread out and enjoy time together.

This hotel is very lovely. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are gorgeous and the overall property is beautiful.
However, we found that the hotel and spa didn't live up to it's potential. The food is okay - but would recommend going elsewhere for your meals. The staff at the bar and restaurants was MIA a lot of the time, and made it hard to actually get food and drink when you wanted it.
The spa was beautiful - steam room, sauna, cold shower. However the sauna does not stay on during the day and you have to wait 30 minutes for it to heat up before use. There is a beautiful hot tub in the pineapple greenhouse, but no lights on in the greenhouse so you can't use it after dark.

The hotel was okay, but it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. I think we had really high expectations as it was part of the Michelin guide and it did not live up to the hype or reviews. Our JR suite had a septic smell and when we asked the front desk about it they said it does this when the wind flows one direction and we can provide candles to mask the smell. Which was definitely not ideal, as it lasted the three days that we were there.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The front desk stafff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, we enjoyed that there were many local products for breakfast. The mini bar also included local items, including passion fruit soda which was very good and not expensive. The room was very clean. The best part was most certainly using the hot spring tub in the pineapple greenhouse, which we enjoyed as often as we could especially on the cooler rainy evenings. The hotel is located in a quiet area, it is best to have car if you choose to stay here, though we did walk into downtown one night. It was about a 30 minute walk, and the sidewalks are very narrow in some places, though it didn't feel unsafe once we got used to it, as this is the case for most of Ponta Delgada. No complaints!

This was our first visit and will definitely come back. The level of service and attention to details was second to none. Welcoming and approachable staff that's willing to go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be.

Kudos to all staff members (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) of the hotel for being warm, welcoming, and helpful and for always having a smile on their faces!
My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at this hotel and on our arrival, we were served champagne and some sweet treats for the occasion❤️
The check-in process was detailed and we loved that as it made our stay more fun. If you need help booking adventure tours, taxis, or rental cars, the front desk staff are happy to help.
The walk to downtown Ponta Delgada Portas do Mar or Sao Roque Beach is approximately 50 minutes and the taxi ride is about 8-10 euros.
The hotel has a spa with massage services (by appointment only), a sauna and a Turkish bath which we loved!
The hot tub/plunge pool area in the pineapple plantation was a unique experience.
They have no fitness centre but have a treadmill, elliptical cycle, and pilates class by appointment only.
The Magma restaurant has great food options - a tip to make reservations for any restaurant in the Azores.
Our room was spacious and clean. The wifi was a little dodgy in certain areas of our room, but it helped us stay off our phones 😜
Overall, a very great experience. We are relaxed and rejuvenated! Thank you to the hotel staff for making our stay memorable!

The hotel is very lovely. Nice grounds and garden. Breakfast was nice, simple, but includes most of your needs. Staff is extremely helpful. I will give 5 for our stay, but last night of our stay somebody broke in out room at 7 am, and no one could find who was this person. Room doors don’t have any locking mechanism.

Sadly we were only at this hotel for one evening and a morning. Had we known what a wonderful place this was, we would have stayed longer! Wonderful restaurants, gardens, spas…and the service is impeccable.

The Front Desk staff was amazing. Filipa went above and beyond with everything she assisted us with. She is truely a 5 star employee.

This was our first hotel on the island, and our favorite! The hotel is just the perfect oasis, a small boutique hotel with infinity pool, hot tub inside a pineapple greenhouse, two restaurants, and a rooftop bar. Very accommodating for children, will definitely stay again when we come back!

Looks better than it is. Service very friendly, but not always on the ball. Reasonably comfortable. But it is expensive for what it is, and I ran into multiple snags, not huge ones but made the stay a little stressful. Incomprehensible air conditioning system didn’t work in the room I first got. They suggested I just sleep without air. There’s a door to courtyard but it’s ground floor so I couldn’t keep it open. I had to suggest I switch rooms. The next night I wanted to go to the rooftop bar but couldn’t have a snack there because you need a reservation. Just not very smooth. And while a couple of the lights in the room are nice warm color the rest are cold blueish white which is surprising for a place with this aesthetic. The location is not convenient; far from town on a residential street. Finally, the basic room I got is a lot less nice than the room upstairs I switched to because of the air issue. I wouldn’t book the basic room category if you can avoid it!

The loft room was amazing, surrounded with jungle overlooked by a large wood deck. The sounds of birdsong were a delight. The room had a simple but elegant decor. The items in the mini-bar was over priced. The Asian Fusion Restaurant was awesome, as was the breakfast buffet each morning. The spa is self serve unless you order services and lacks the feel of a spa. There is a jacuzzi pool in a greenhouse filled with pineapples. That was a first for us!! I would stay there again as a place to stay when arriving or departing from PDL airport.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for one night and it was our favorite stay in Sao Miguel! The staff were kind and accommodating & even helped us celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. I would highly recommend this place! Extremely clean and the pool and pineapple greenhouse were amazing!

AMAZING!! I fell in love from the photos and the experience only solidified that. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, and the dinner food was some of the best we had in the Azores. We stayed in the junior suite and it was divine! The spa area is incredibly relaxing and the pool/hot tub are so much fun! There are some growing pains in food and beverage that could be worked on. Things take a long time and there were some issues with quality at lunch. The surrounding area is hectic with dogs barking and fireworks often but the hotel still feels like an oasis within the hectic cityscape. Overall it’s a truly spectacular property. We would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful property. The garden lodge room is gorgeous and design makes it completely immersed in nature.
The facilities are lovely. The plunge pool in the pineapple greenhouse is quite special!
We appreciated the flexibility with our very late arrival due to delayed flight.
Only negative rating is the Expedia VIP amenity. It is described as « €25 resort credit per room, per stay » which in my experience can then be used for anything including food and beverages. In this case, despite the confirmation confirming a general 25EUR credit, the hotel said it can only be used for the spa or the tennis court. I would advise to change the description in Expedia to avoid other customer being mislead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Both Magma and the Asian fusion restaurant were excellent. We really enjoyed the view from the rooftop bar, but the best part for us was the hot tub in the pineapple greenhouse. Just one minor nit. Our bathtub was slippery causing us to be extra careful taking a shower. Also, perhaps an added benefit to consider would be laundry facilities. All-in-all a beautiful and relaxing place to stay.

This charming theme hotel impressed me from the moment I stepped foot inside, with its sustainable project, unique decoration, attentive staff, and delightful amenities.
One of the standout features of Senhora da Rosa Hotel is its commitment to sustainability. It is always heartening to support establishments that prioritize eco-friendly practices.
The hotel's decoration was a true highlight for me. The attention to detail and the theme throughout the property added a distinct charm and character. Every corner seemed to have a story to tell, and I found myself discovering new delightful elements with each passing day. The combination of modern aesthetics with a touch of local culture perfectly reflected the spirit of the Azores.
My room at Senhora da Rosa Hotel was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing sanctuary after a day of exploring. The thoughtful design elements and tasteful furnishings created a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in maintaining the theme throughout the room, which added an extra layer of charm and authenticity.
The staff at the hotel was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I felt at home.
The breakfast at Senhora da Rosa Hotel was a delightful experience in itself. The multiple options and the freshness of the offerings were truly impressive. From local delicacies to in

This is a contemporary hotel - with exquisite decor, courteous staff, and impressive attention to detail. Customer services there was A . Our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. What could be improved ? I would say including screen doors or windows so we can enjoy fresh air instead of air conditioning. On this island, temp. should be comfortable year round.

All workers were extremely attentive to our needs from the very beginning to end. They helped us with car rental and made sure we were comfortable. In my opinion, Magma was the best food we had on the island.
Spa facilities were excellent as well! We hope to return someday.
