This is a very nice older property. Manager was nice. Room totally adequate.
KFC across the street meant no more driving!

This is an old school motor hotel. All one story and park in front of your room. Perfect for a night on the road. We originally requested 2 queen beds as we prefer to lay out clothes on one bed and sleep in the other. But when we got to the room we found these were older queen beds, which means closer to full size mattresses. Nothing wrong with them but the size. The front desk was very accommodating and gave us a room with one king bed. The room is basic but with a larger than normal fridge and everything worked as it should. Very happy for our one night stay. There are some fast food restaurants within walking distance. Noise was not an issue.

Very comfortable bed, quiet and looked clean.

It is an older hotel but had a large tv with a great channel selection. Lots of instant hot water. Door locks securely and the drapes are light blocking. It's just a little worn and very clean. I'd stay there again if the need arose.

Nice older place to stay. Clean and friendly but could use some updates. For the money though it was nice.

The room was clean and had almost everything you'd want, including king bed and refrigerator with freezer, for a great price. The only thing I'd ask for is some Kleenex.

I always like to stay in this motel when I drive back and forth across the country with my two dogs because it’s quiet, and I feel safe there. It’s a quiet, mellow area (not to say it’s fancy - a lot of the businesses in the neighborhood have closed), but there is a viable home-DIY store across the street (usually closed when I am there, which is fine), and an Arby’s across the street that has good sandwiches. The Village Inn staff is always nice, and I just generally like the vibe. I can park right outside my room, which is convenient with the dogs, and they have a large grassy area. It’s worth it to drive the one or two miles off the highway to know what I am getting. It feels homey, and the bed is comfortable, so it really works for me.

First I need to say this is a 2 part review.
This is an older hotel.
First stay- Staff was great, included everyone in their fireworks show. Room was super clean and beds were comfy. I had paid online and they charged me an additional amount.
Second stay- Asked about the $41 fee from the first stay and was told I probably didn't pay online for the first stay, which I did so I'll have Expedia work that out.
Got the room next to the one we had prior. Went to restroom, noticed small cockroaches in bathroom and fecal matter under the toilet paper area. Went and told the front desk and turned in my key. Manager said they will refund my money.

This was a great place to stay for the price. It was clean and didn’t have any weird smells. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Beautifully cared for place. Older, but a great value for the money!

The property was simple neat and clean. Nothing spectacular. No coffee maker, but the end it was a great value for the money. I would definitely go there again. Bonus for cigars smokers, there was a bar that had a cigar lounge. That was really a lot of fun right next-door, Plenty of places around to eat

We did not have a coffee maker in the room. The room was very clean and quaint.

Dated motel, but was clean and quiet.

Everything in the room was very clean, but it does need repairs and refresh. And more plug-ins.

The room was way nicer than I would have expected for $60. Nice surprise to have a fridge and microwave in the room too. Plenty of free parking and short drive from the centre of town and the supermarket.

The bed was infested with bed bugs. Staff was helpful in refunding me a room so I could go to another hotel but wouldn’t recommend ever staying here

Only two small complaints: light in laundromat was out and channel changer on TV was troublesome. Other than that I love the simplicity and convenience of the place. I stay there every year.

For the price, this was a good value. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, there was a microwave and refrigerator. The room was pre-cooled, which was good because it was a humid day in central Kansas! It's a mom-and-pop place, not a lot of amenities. But we just needed a bed, a bath, a TV and AC for two nights. And our trailer - with an expensive RC airplane - were undisturbed while we were there. It's pretty close to I-135 on the northwest corner of town - but it was just minutes across town, so it was no big deal. We paid half of what the chain motels were charging, which was a nig benefit for us.

They need to upgrade EVERYTHING and smelled just as bad. I had a small cooler I was wanting to put ice in, it had a note saying they would charge me $300 and people are watching. Pretty excessive. Also at check in, no one was the be found. I had to drive around the complex and someone finally came out. It was only 4pm. I wouldn't stay again.

This very no-frills place was just what I needed for a business trip. I love that it's a motel so there's parking directly in front of my room; made for perfect loading in and out, especially when I was tired and overheated from a day of being outdoors at an art fair. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, the ac worked perfectly, and it was super nice that there was a freezer in the in-room refrigerator. The staff was very nice, from the owner who checked me in, and the cleaning lady, who made sure to check in each time she saw me, but wasn't pounding on the door in the morning waking me up, either. The only negative was that the room was heavily fragranced with what seemed to be incense when I checked in; I'm very sensitive to scents, so it gave me some sinus trouble and a headache that first night, but it aired out afterwards. If I get into the same show next year, I would love to stay here again!
Additionally, the whole city of Salina was very welcoming and kind, and it's clear they truly value the arts community there.

The place was great it was clean and the service was excellent. Older property but the owner is making a lot of improvements and it was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay here again

Dog friendly. Air conditioning didn't cool through the night. Fan in bathroom didn't work. No coffee maker in room.

We were pleased at how large our room was. We had 2 desks to sit at and a table with 2 chairs to eat at. We had a king-sized bed, along with many pillows to choose from. The room also had a refrigerator and microwave which came in handy, since they didn't offer breakfast. We had to request an iron since none was provided, but they didn't have an ironing board. It wasn't a problem because we had a large desk to use. All in all we enjoyed our stay for the 6 nights we were there.

I stayed at this place for two nights with my partner and we had quite a few issues. First was that when we got there to check in no one was there and we had to call to get them to come check us in because the doors were locked. Second was that the door on the two rooms that we were put into didn’t have any kind of secondary lock like chain or something similar. Third we had issues with the air conditioner in our first room because it wouldn’t stay on long enough to cool down the room at all so we thankfully got moved to another room but that room’s air conditioner would not stay at the temperature that you set it for so it would turn on and off every 10 minutes even though it’s hot in the room. Definitely not worth the money to be honest.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and neatly decorated. Request a quiet room if that is something you want.
