Dirty. Bed in terrible condition. We couldn't use coffee machine as filthy. Shower knob falls off. Shower head leaks.

Property was a little dated, but was clean and suited our purposes perfectly. The staff was amazing at checkin and checkout. Would recommend for coupkes or families. Just mind the bears.

Very old instalation, without upgrades.

It felt like a cozy cabin and thats exactly what I wanted. Conveniently located near the 3rd stoplight in Gatlinburg. Lots to do within walking distance. I went to see the 4th of July midnight parade and the route took it right in front of the property. Comfy bed, great A/C with a balcony along the creek. Its my go to place when staying in Gatlinburg.

My reservation confirmation email said that I was booked in cottage 410. The photos for that cottage showed a separate bedroom, bathroom with tub, living room with couch and easy chair as well as table, chairs and small kitchen. We were travelling with a preschooler who won't take showers, so the tub was essential, as was the separate bedroom so we could put him to bed earlier than us. The fine print said that the specific room wasn't guaranteed, but all of cottage photos I viewed looked the same so I thought I knew what I was getting. Wrong! The room we were assigned upon check in was an ADA compliant cottage with a handicap shower, one large room with one lift chair and two beds. No sofa, no separate bedroom. They didn't tell us that it was ADA compliant, they just handed us the keys and we found out what we were in for when we unlocked the door. The front desk told me that there were no other cottages available. It isn't as if we drove up and booked a room - we made our reservation several weeks ahead of time. I even emailed them a few days ahead to ask a question about 410. I don't think it is acceptable to assign an ADA compliant room to a family that didn't ask for one. In addition to the layout, the wood floors were filthy and the AC struggled and smelled like mildew. The best part of the booking, and the only thing we really enjoyed was the lovely pool. So, booker beware - what you think you booked isn't what you will get.

When we booked the cabin the photos made it look like it was by itself. It’s actually right next to some local houses with no privacy , the room was super dirty , the door lock was a joke and provided no security. Also there was no sleeping past 05:10 because the house right next door has a rooster that cries every morning at exactly 05:10 for about an hour. The bed was also super uncomfortable and the bathroom is comical on how small it is

This was not a good experience at all. I was so excited to stay in the cabin! We had booked a 3 night stay and only ended up staying one night. The cabin was super dated and needed a deep clean. But what made us leave at midnight on our second day was a literal ROACH climbing the wall by the fireplace. I called the office to report it and the lady said they’d get us another room, and I declined and said we’d rather have a refund and leave- where there’s one roach, there’s most likely many. When we got to the office to get our refund, the guy at the desk acted like he didn’t even believe me (even though I had a picture) and I had to call Hotels.com support to get the refund. We found another place to stay and shook out all our clothes to make sure no roaches left with us, thank God they didn’t. It was a HUGE roach too :( super disappointed with the cleanliness and the customer service at Carr’s.

This place was a total disappointment. From the reviews I read I expected it would be campy which I like but this place is worn out and sad. Let's start with checking in. I thought I had booked a ground level room in the newer section directly along the stream. What we were assigned was a ground floor room in a smaller building in the downstream part of the property that was in dire need of maintenance. The exterior was overgrown so you could not even see the stream 25 feet away. The outdoor furniture was old and broken. The porch decking was partially rotted. Inside was basically clean but dark. The clothes rack was collapsing and the bathroom fan/heater was corroded. Then there were the roosters across the driveway that start crowing at 4:30am! When I complained that that room we were assigned was not what we had booked, I was told it was what Expedia had assigned us and we need to take it up with Expedia.

When I checked in the two gentleman were friendly and when I got in my room it was decent and not noisy and by afternoon I smelled very bad smells coming into my room and also when I got there the tvs were not working had to call for that as well!! The rooms were cold and felt damp but the smells literally made me ill to the point I threw up!! Went to check out and the lady didn’t care and did nothing to fix the issue!! I would never come back here because of how nothing was fixed! What I get for prepaying!!

It was amazing! The cottage was very comfortable and clean and the check in was smooth .

We did not have any maid service, said it was still due to covid. The place could use upgrades, but the view was beautiful. It made up for the room, it's wasn't the nicest place I've stayed but it was OK.
4.3
Very private. Comfortable beds, but flat pillows. Nice kitchenette, but no coffee. Some fireworks or gunshots at one point was a bit scary, but overall good stay.
4.3
I absolutely loved sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee while enjoying the riverview. Staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked that our suite had a wall separating the bedroom from the living room/kitchen, which gave it a more spacious feel. We also enjoyed the fireplace inside the living room which we used every day.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Carr’s. I kinda gambled and made this reservation based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. This is an older motel that has been freshly painted and new flooring installed. We enjoyed listening to the creek from our balcony. This is a no frills motel that is quaint, clean and off the beaten path. In terms of walking distance to town, I would not advise it. There is a very steep hill going into the property that makes walking to town almost impossible. We would easily stay here again.

This is a great 5 star, 3 star hotel. By that I mean that this hotel of course isn’t your typical 5 star hotels with all the bells and whistles, but it’s exactly all you need for a nice comfortable stay. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is what you would expect from the pictures. If you’re not picky and just want a place to shower and sleep, this is your place. The workers are polite and check in is smooth and easy. Would definitely stay again. No complaints.

Staff was great, cabin was amazing. Walking distance to restaurants and museums

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay very much--first time in the Rockies. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The room itself is could use some renovating.
4.3
Rooms need a deep clean - the area is nice and the hotel could be wonderful if updated and cleaned
4.3
From the pictures we were expecting a semi secluded cabin. It is situated amongst other rentals and privately owned properties. However, our stay was pleasant and our cabin comfy. Walking distance to downtown saving us daily parking fees. Also, for added bonus, visited by a momma bear and cubs daily!
4.3
The description for room stated it was a cottage. It was not even close to being a cottage it was more like your atypical hotel/condo. It was pretty outdated. Almost every set of blinds was broken. It was just okay, walking distance to the strip, quiet and right next to the water.

Great

It was peaceful and quiet. It gave us a great opportunity to rest and relax.

The Hotel front desk agent was so kind and welcoming.
We arrived Friday, September 1st we even saw a bear on the property.

Absolutely adorable. Can’t wait to come back

Very Clean and such a Beautiful place to stay!

This is an older motel that we’ve stayed at multiple times beginning about 20 years ago. Furniture is retro, put the place is clean and staff were friendly. It’s peaceful and off the strip so your able to
Unwind and relax!

Unit 501B had bed bugs, and the lobbyist was friendly but her manager was really no help, saying that we would have to contact Expedia for a refund (Expedia was wonderful during all of this!) and did not offer an apology or ANYTHING. This was midnight after driving 4 hours and we were just plain tired. Not a great start to a trip.
4.3
Rooms were clean river accesable short walk to downtown
4.3
We had a large apartment style suite with plenty of room. Bathroom had been updated and plenty of hot water. Could use some updating but we enjoyed our time there very much.
4.3
One night stay for trout fishing. Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet.
4.3
Weak shower pressure. Plenty of space in room. Refrigerator. Quiet area. Parallel to hustle and bustle. Did have to drive everywhere. Near Alamo steakhouse. Near Food City for groceries. Near Mad Dog's for ice cream. Near Geno's for pizza. Near Gas 'n' Go for fuel up. Adequate bed comfort (when tired, anything works). No frills, older. Stayed in cottage not the hotel portion. Multiple entries to property (a maze). Loved the balcony creek view and sounds. Peaceful. Room decor was cozy bear designs.
4.3
The property was a little older but I didn't care a bit. The room was rustic, comfortable and quiet. There were 2 La-Z-Boy recliners, which was wonderful because I often sleep in a recliner due to lower back problems. We had a small kitchen with a door that opened up to a little balcony/patio area that looked out onto a creek. Where we were, the water was running a little faster and the sound COMPLETELY drowned out the traffic noises and we found it very relaxing. We stayed 3 nights and I would absolutely stay again and try to get the same room!

Cabin was first class

Loved the river right outside our room.
4.3
Liked the porch over looking the river and cozy inside

Carr's is a quaint atmosphere with rooms overlooking creek area for cookouts, firepits and enjoying the sounds of the water.
It is located a short walk from downtown Gatlinburg.
Rooms are not perfect but that is part of its charm. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay great. Their pricing is wonderful!
If your all about "keeping up with the Jones", this place is not for you! If your looking for an opportunity to spend time out by the creek with your family and don't care about perfection in a room, this is for you.
A very affordable place to stay! We will go back!
