Hotel is new , clean, and quiet. At the heart of shopping district but quite and organized.

A good hotel, with an excelent loalization. Located in the city center, very close to Nishiki Market and public transportation stations. It is very easy to get to the Shinkansen as well. Most turistic attractions are radiou reachable from the hotel using any kind of tranportation you want (Car, Subway, bus). They offer a Sake shot e very day for each guest and the staff is really polite and helpfull. You wont find a luxurious place of that is what you want, but the rooms have very good space and the bed is very confortable. I am sure that it is a good place to come back in the future

A little too bougie for us. But it was a very nice and clean hotel. Big nice lobby to hang out at in the evenings, they had provided all amenities needed. Staff was friendly and nice. Room was small.but had enough space to maneuver around. They have a self serve espresso machine which spoiled us. All the high end stores are all on the strip.

Really nice hotel to stay at. Location was great and central to many things around the city. Subway can be accessed right from the hotel itself (and right next to the Mario wall in the subway). Staff was amazing and very friendly. Room fit our needs perfectly. Great job and thanks for an amazing stay

Very nice hotel, conveniently located - walk to the train station and along the shopping district. Within steps of Nishiki market. They provide complimentary sake and coffee. Negative is that the rooms are a bit small, tho typical of Japanese hotel room. Also the windows in the room are frosted, so you can’t look out at anything. No seating in the lobby area in the morning to drink coffee, if you don’t purchase breakfast. Seating after breakfast is very nice.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Forza. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The location is a big plus as it is in the middle of everything. I appreciate the staff going out of it's way to be helpful.

In Kyoto for 5 days. Hotel was in a good location - a very short walk to Nishiki Market and walkable to Gion. Breakfast was very good-both east and west foods. Very modern decor although we felt that the hallways and rooms were to dark - our room could have used an extra lamp or two. Room also was a tad on the small side for 2 adults.

Very nice hotel near all the action but unfortunately no breakfast included

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location - moments to Nishiki Markets, Gion, shops and transport. Room was nice and quite big by Japan standards. Very easy check in and out.

We had 4 rooms total and all were a different layout. Mine was the only one with a view (nice view of the main street) but the other 3 rooms had windows that were frosted because they were facing other buildings. My layout was perfect, very wide open, others were a little less open though all were the same size with the same amenities. I loved the shower room--the entire room was basically a shower with a chair to sit on under the showerhead and it also had a tub if you wanted to soak. This made it very ADA friendly for my parents who have mobility issues. Bed was easily the most comfortable of all the hotels I stayed at in Japan. The hallways are very dark and so it's an interesting atmosphere that I liked but some might not like. Location was great, right on the main road in central Kyoto with tons of places to go. Nishiki Market is only a 2 minute walk away. I only interacted with the staff for check-in/out but they were very polite and hospitable. I think I did have a check in with the automated check in system--if I remember right it couldn't find my reservation by last name but found it by first, which was odd but ended up not being a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotels you can stay while in Kyoto. You simply cannot go wrong booking this hotel.
It’s in the heart of everything, so many stores, restaurants, shopping and train stations near by.
We stayed on the 6th floor and it was very quiet.
Rooms are big, clean and very comfortable with a very nice shower room.
The free coffee in the lobby was a very nice touch.
All staff we interacted with spoke English and were so helpful.
Staff assisted with luggage transfer as well as luggage storage, both very easy and simple.
Thank you for having us!

Good location, friendly staff, 1 glass of free sake per guest per night and unlimited free coffee. Wish there would be more washing machines though

This was our favourite hotel on our Japan trip! It was in a great area with plenty to walk to, minutes from Nishiki market and about 20-30 to get to the river and Gion area. Lots of buses right outside and restaurants/shopping nearby. The hotel and a lovely, cool lobby with free coffee/matcha machine and one free Sake a day.
The room was the biggest we stayed in while in Japan. The staff were lovely and very helpful. They stored our luggage on the last day so we could explore still. Highly recommend staying here.

Not enough laundry facilities for 8 floors of guests, only 4 washer/driers they were always in use when we attempted to use them. Staff were also a little too forceful at pushing english language despite best intentions of using japanese language

Very convenient location. Buffer breakfast is ok not recommend for those who have high expectation though since there are so many restaurant nearby.

I choose this hotel for the location. It is very close to the subway, restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel staff was very friendly and answered all my questions.
The room accommodations were great and I was surprised to see that there are laundry rooms available in case you need to wash clothes. This came in handy during my trip.
You cannot go wrong choosing this hotel, great staff, great location, quiet, and close to major attractions.

We booked the 3 beds stay and the room was spacious than all our other stays at other prefectures. The hotel is clean and gives free amenities at the lobby (comb, body wipes, face wash, etc). The bedroom has slippers and sleeping robes but for kids, you will need to ask the front desk which comes with small slippers, ducky sponge and toothbrush & toothpaste.
The only negative thing is there is only 4 combo washers/dryers that takes a long time to wash&dry for the entire hotel.

This is an excellent value. The staff could not be more considerate or accommodating. They helped us find a restaurant that could take us a fairly late hour and made a reservation. The property appears to be very new so everything was in excellent condition. Breakfast was good value. There is an expansive sitting area with tables on the check-in lobby floor which provided a convenient place for guests to eat their takeout dinners or play games. It promoted a shared experience for guests which is rare these days. Highly recommend it.

This is the best hotel I stayed during my trip to Japan. It’s located in the heart of the city and got dining shopping and dining options, as well as easy transportation. Not sure why this is a 3 star hotel to me is 3-star does not do its justice. Plus, pricing is fair and affordable. Highly recommended.

Location was amazing! It was also a nice touch to offer complimentary saki in the afternoon and coffee in the morning (though offering tea would’ve been nice as well). The biggest thing missing was there were no water refill stations so it was not eco-friendly to have to keep getting water bottles

Excellent. Truly great value for money. Easy to send luggage on to the next hotel. We also received our luggage from previous hotel- helpful note was placed under the door to say our luggage had arrived.
All staff were very helpful, and pleasant. Everything was so clean! The matcha from the machine in the lobby is of good quality. Nishiki Market is super close, the metro is not far- and taxi ranks are outside the hotel if you need them.

Good breakfast with both European and Asian choices. Location is fantastic for a visit to Kyoto and everything nearby. We used it as our hub for a week and it was great. Good to have fridge, shower, bath and clean room. Coffee machine, and hot chocolate machine in the lobby and free sake service in the evening.
Only thing, but this is a preference thing, was that the beds are pretty hard. We had also booked for 2 adults and 2 kids and only got 3 beds so our 11 yr old had to sleep in the big bed. Worked out ok but was not specified.

The location of this property is superb. Very convenient and just in the middle of the Main Street. Rooms are clean just a bit small like standard Kyoto rooms but we had 2 single beds & 1 sofa bed which made it very comfortable to sleep after a long day. Decent breakfast was also available to save time on the check out day however there are many cafes to explore just next to the hotel.

Awesome location! Easy access to train/subway station. Close to dining & shopping!
