It was very sketchy place, you hear everything through the walls

The people were so helpful getting us connected to the local bus and a close by restaurant. Very friendly!

Sparse to say the least . It was a concrete box with 3 beds.( old military base ) On the plus side , it was clean and had a nice bath room. On the negative side. We arrived after dark, The Parking lot was dark and there was just enough light to allow you to depict three large and full dumpsters at its edge. Not sure where you would dare park. The entrance was dark, with no one at the reception desk. On the counter was a list of names of people that hadn't checked in yet complete with room numbers AND the codes for each individual room. So we could easily have had access to anyone's room on the list. ( not a very secure feeling - Luckily all the people we had met so far in Iceland were very freindly, so that put our minds at ease a bit ) But not an area you'd take an evening strole in. There was no shuttle and no information on how to get a ride to the airport 2 miles away. Quite pricey when you consider that for less than $100 more., we could have booked a more traditional hotel with amenities and shuttle service to catch an early flight. All in all it would not have been all that bad had the description made things a bit clearer. Just stating that it would accommodate four was acurate but left quite a bit out.

It was super cold, heater was not working at all

The inside of the building was quite old, not sure if it may have been a military dorm that was repurposed. There's no elevator to get to the rooms on the second floor. There's a nice restaurant in the hotel next door on the second floor, which is convenient. We did get our room number and the key code emailed to us ahead of time.

Good location to airport is only plus . Felt like we were in a hostel or old frat house

This booking was last minute as I’ve missed my flights to New York. It was €120 a little bit expensive but it was a last minute thing…… THERE ARE NO FOOD FACILITIES, OTHER THAN ABENDING MACHINE, WHICH WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING NO BREAKFAST, INCLUDING CONSIDERED THE HIGH PRICE

The hotel is very close to KEF airport so that’s good but the room was very simple and plain, not decorated, the TV barely worked and there was a lot of trash outside of my window (literally an old chair and mattress and lots of plastic bottles on the grass). I would not stay there again.

Close to airport which is very convenient

The bus transfer service to the airport worked very well

I liked nothing.

The trash can are located close to the entrance of Hotel, which is an eyesore. Our friend who dropped us off asked "how did you find this place"? It would have been nice to have an elevator, especially being a female with a very heavy suitcase. The cafe next door was very good!
We appreciated having a shuttle to the airport.

It’s ok it’s the old United stated military barracks converted into a hotel

Please do not waste your money on this place, we booked a room and they sent us our room number and door code to get in since it's a self check in. We had a late flight in and unfortunately our door code didn't work, after trying to call, email, message and WhatsApp the property for 2 hours straight we gave up and rented a much better place downtown that had somebody working the front desk. The property got back to me several hours after us booking the new hotel only to let us know that they had given us the wrong room number, was promised a refund and never received one. Totally ripped off and hotels.com couldn't help me get a refund because they couldn't reach the property, what a surprise.

ABC hotel is probably the worst hotel we stayed at for the price range. Pathetic looking reception with sliding plexiglass window and unfriendly clerk, worn and dirty carpets, no elevator. Bed sizes not as described. How could it possibly cost $398? I guess we had to be thankful for clean sheets and shower gel. Funniest thing was the bathroom sink- shelf above it was the same width, you need to stick your head in between to wash face. Fortunately we were only there for one night.

I like the people's are working there. It's been ok to stay there.

The ABC pricing is modest. No breakfast is provided. The rooms are clean and comfortable and sparing - i.e., they provide all that you need and not a bit extra.

Very good staff, very helpful and friendly.
Room was super clean.

Stayed 1 night prior to early morning flight.

The bathroom was actually really nice. And it was right by the airport. Sometimes you get what you pay for. The other hotels I looked at were over $100 more. However, next time I probably would pay that. The common areas stairs, etc. were absolutely, horrible. Dirty and gross. The side of the hotel was gross. The parking lot areas had dumpster trash all over. Just in general, unkempt and gross.

We stayed at ABC the night before we were scheduled to leave Iceland early in the morning. The hotel was easy to find. Rooms are sparse, but we only needed a place to sleep near the airport, and this hotel is perfect for that purpose. I would not consider a longer stay, however. The desk attendants were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is a little run down. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean, but the floor was stained. It’s close to the airport.

Property is close to the airport. they provide self checkin code one day prior so you can check in as late as you want with the code. There is also a person at the lobby till midnight so it is manned which is good and can help with checkin. There is tea/coffee in the lobby 24 hours. There is microwave in the lobby incase you need to heat food till midnight. Parking outside hotel building is fine and free. Running hot water and black out curtains. Good for one night stay to catch flight next day out of Iceland.

Beds seemed dirty but locatoion is great and shuttle to airport is convenient

Way overpriced for what you get. It’s essentially a dorm room. Gross shower with mold, felt carpet, no hairdryer, no shower amenities, hair on towells

Ideal for a no frills Icelandic vacation!

This is honestly the poorest room I have ever stepped foot in. Sheets were stained not clean, room was smelled of urine. Windows dirty, no head board paint come off wall from people’s heads also head grease on wall. Walked out itching! Avoid avoid avoid 1 star at best.

Room is clean and spacious, shuttle to airport, but stairway is dusty, staff is nice, but no breakfast.

Avoid at all costs!!! Pictures are false advertisement. Room stunk of piss, dirty bed sheets stained with what can only look like poo, prison bed is better than the bed, pillows were terrible and over used, no head boards, showers clean is the only good thing, rubbish all over car park! When told receptionist no offer to put right or help the situation just said sorry… Expedia really need to review the rating on this hotel no way near a 3 star!!! Left the hotel feeling itchy and dirty!

Great. It was the least expensive option. Clean and ataff friendly. Wish staff was there 24/7, but bery accommodating. I was able to take the bus into town for a cheaper price. I would stay here again.

Our family had 10-day road trip in a campervan. We stayed our last night in hotel. It is better than what we expected. Spacious, clean and convenient to airport.

Great customer service. Clean facility. Ate at the hotel next door. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom.

This property we awful with terrible staff. I could not recommend this property less. I would have rather slept at the airport than deal with this facility again
2.0
It took repeated requests to the hotel to get the code needed for after hours check-in. No good transportation options. Room looked like a converted office with a newly added bathroom. Old/stained carpet but beds and bathroom seemed clean.
3.0
Very basic accommodation. Great if you need a place close to the airport for one night but I wouldn’t stay there any longer. The spacious bathroom was nice!

What can I say, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time.
Check in instructions arrived after my stay was over, the general feel of the place is very run down.
The walls are paper thin, our neighbour was snoring and it literally sounded like he was laying next to us.
The only positive is that the receptionist was very nice and helpful.

Room was small, very basic. However, receptionist was helpful.
