We liked that the hotel was a couple of blocks from the Journal Square Path Station as well as the 119 bus to Port Authority. The room was spacious but the gym was not in our hotel we had to let them know when we wanted to go so they could give us a code to go to their hotel next door. There was a coffee shop but it was not in our hotel it was two door away. The food and service was good. Instead of a key, you are given a code to both your room and another for the front lobby. There is not someone at reception until about 10am they said up to 12:00 pm. We were never out that late so, I don't know. There was a lot of construction going on across the street. It didn't bother us but they do start at 7 am. Overall, we enjoyed our stay it was different than what we've been used to but the water was hot, the room was nice and warm and there was a full size fridge and stove. I loved the mirror in the bathroom unfortunately it was too high for me to see in it but there was a nice full length one on the door. I wish they had a king size bed but my husband and I managed with the smaller size. It was comfy. I would have liked to see two end tables instead of just one. There is no phone in the room. We had our cells so that was fine. I liked how the lights in the hallway were on a sensor this saving electricity. The elevator was so smooth we couldn't even feel it move. A lot of times when we were coming in, guests leaving would let you in while they left. I question security after hours.

Patrick was super helpful upon checkin. Very nice and helpful with hotel Information. The owner was nice and made sure we got everything we needed.

The only downside is PARKING, of course you pay for the stay but having to pay for parking as well is too much. Overall I like the Hotel itself.

Super welcoming and cozy, in a great area with easy transportation to the World Trade Center and Downtown Jersey. The kitchen was fully equipped and the balcony views were stunning. Everything was great and we will be staying here again when we come back.

The room was huge, no problem there. Only 2 issues. The room was not soundproof. Every night at 1:30 am the people beside us were up playing with their young child, making all kinds of noise, usually for about an hour.
The other issue we had one night, the elevator alarm went off. I attempted to call front desk, but it went straight to a Google voice account and there was no way to leave a message.

The listing said there was on-site parking. There was not. 2 of the options they gave us for parking upon arrival were not even accessible. We spent an hour driving around trying to find a safe looking place to park. Also, the entire time we stayed there, our room door did not lock from the outside. We could only lock it when we were in it. Which meant our belongings were basically unsecured whenever we left the room. Lastly, the air conditioner did not work well, which was not comfortable during 85+ weather! While the gentlemen were very friendly, they did not fix these problems while we were there.

That place was awful, everywhere in room was dirty & sticky.the hairs everywhere, no housekeeping during my stay, all the bedding was dirty, garbage stayed in the room 3 days, the shower door handle is broken , the curtains are broken, near the construction zone, too noisy, no parking space, very inconvenient!

1. You have to wait forever for someone to come to the main door to let you in.
2. There was a dirty towel in my bathroom at arrival
3. The housekeeper came to my door while I was sleeping for work. After I woke up I saw that they left my door completely open for anyone to walk in on me sleeping as the doors do not automatically close
4. When I called the front desk to complain they said “its ok, it was the cleaning lady” I said they left the door wide open, he responded “only people with a code can get in the building” that is random strangers who are also staying in the hotel who could be anyone capable of anything
5. I will NEVER stay there again and plan to tell anyone who will listen not to go!

kitchen’s equipment is doing well. But accessories status is not. Bed is comfortable, while sofa bed is not very clean. Location is good, which close to journal square transport center.
No room maintenance , but front desk are easy to communicate.

Super convenient location to hop on the PATH train to NYC

The room was exactly as described. Our only complaint was the full-size sofa/bed was not very comfortable. Especially for a longer stay. Minimal but satisfactory utinsils and pots and pans for the kitchen. I would have loved a regular size coffee pot but at least there was a full size kettle. Literally steps from Little India. Lots of options for food!

We felt safe in this hotel. The front door as well as the room had codes to enter. It was a quick walk from the Journal Square station. We were able to walk and get some groceries and dinner. It was clean. We could tell that they were uodating and maintaining the rooms.

I CAME THERE FROM 1/15/2024 TO 2/17/2024;.. I SPENT A TOTAL OF $4,408.13. OVER A MONTH. NOT AT NO TIME WAS OFFERDED A DISCOUNT PRICE. NEVER SAW A HOUSEKEEPER
ASK MANY TIMES SO I BROUGHT MY OWN BROOM AND MOP .. BUT THE WORSE PART WAS I STAYED THERE OVER A MONTH AND THEN THEY TELL ME THEY RENTED THE ROOM I WAS STAYING IN SO I HAD TO GO BY 11AM THAT MORNING IN A SNOW STORM . A JERSEY CITY HEALTH CARE WORKER . I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED ON HOW O WAS TREATED AFTER PAYING MY HARD EARN MONEY ..

The reviews of this place made me unsure what to expect. It was much nicer than expected. We also went in the off season, it seemed like there weren’t many people staying. Our room was on the 4th floor.
Cons:
-there is not always desk staff, and one time they did not answer the phone. Call in advance before you arrive and tell them when you plan to arrive when you make the reservation.
-no key cards which is a bonus, but the keypad doorknob was a little loose and felt easy to bypass. That said, the location felt safe and so did the area.
-No limit on how wide the windows can open and no safety bars. Being on a high floor, it was a little negligent. Nice that the windows opened all the way but I’d be concerned for peoples safety.
-the sheets were clean but stained.
Pros:
-AMAZING walkable area. Very Jersey City for sure, don’t get me wrong, but we walked all over the surrounded areas and never felt unsafe. There’s a review that says there are “gangsters” everywhere and I’m positive that was just a racist reviewer. The area is extremely diverse, energetic, and had great food. Lots of young couples walking around even at night. And, it’s very close to the PATH station for getting into Manhattan, and a parking garage is like two blocks away.
-you can be nit picky about the room, but it was a great value for the price. It’s like a great little studio apartment in there. The building itself was also quite nice and well taken care of.
Overall it’s a great value for the money!

Hotel was updated. Very clean. Quiet.
My only complaint was the shower. There was very little water pressure and water does not get warm! Barely lukewarm. It was very unpleasant.

The room even if it looked pretty new it wasn't clean and the smell of smoke/cigarette at the arrival was unbearable, the sofa especially smelled like a giant ashtray. The temperature of the water in the bathroom does not go beyond lukewarm and air conditioning didn't work. Having said that, the guys at the reception are very nice and welcoming. The location is ok because of its close distance to the Path station of Journal Square, but in the surroundings there's pretty much nothing to do. I honestly wouldn't come back.

Located within a 5-minute walk from Journal Square, the property seems to be a repurposed condo development. The unit I stayed in was a full condo, with a kitchen and balcony. There was a good amount of space and wifi was good. Unlike a hotel, the front desk was not staffed when I arrived after midnight, requiring me to phone someone. There also did not appear to be amenities like a gym. However, this was a budget friendly choice for me as I needed a place to stay that was closer to a hotel room than a hostel, and within reasonable distance of Manhattan and the airport. Would recommend staying here if one was planning to explore Jersey City or its area, otherwise it might be a bit inconvenient if traveling further afield.
