I was amazed to find adjustable beds in this quaint motel. I could see the updates and improvements that were installed into this unassuming small town location. Pleasantly surprised.

The only complaint that I really have is it smells like smoke and thy didn’t change the bed linen or give us clean towels and wash clothes each day

Had a resveration price, he did not honor, increased the cost $15.00 per nite. Room was never cleaned, two towels for two people. Carpet is over 30 years old. Was told I get a &20.00 refund on checking out, never happen. Next time I’ll drive the 30 miles to the next hotel. If you looking for a really poor hotel, this is it. The owner can hardly speak English. Really do not under any reason stay there

You have to remember this is a mom and pop place and so for the price point this was a good place. We were there for the bluegrass festival and our other options were more expensive or much farther away. As such the place is in need of an update and did provide the necessities. It met our needs. McCormick is just a few miles down the road and we can recommend the Little Italy restaurant and the Huddle House.

Left the property at 1am and had to drive home. Next door was people sitting outside my door talking loudly. People coming and going. Terrible experience.

The rooms are very spacious. Is the first time I’ve ever seen a hotel where the head of the bed adjust so you could sit up and read a book in bed without needing too many pillows. The staff of the property was extremely professional and polite and went out of the way to help you, this is the best spot to stay at go to Graves Mountain rock swap and dig Since it’s only 20 minutes away from the site, which is straight down the same road the hotels on.

The Bel-Mar is a quaint throwback to a different time with a genuinely caring owner. Off the beaten path and nestled near the Sumter National Forest it's a peaceful place to stay. It's well cared for inn with spacious rooms that's a must stay if you're in the area.

This property is under new ownership and management. They have updated a lot but still needs more. The floors are uneven, the AC doesn't smell the greatest but not bad, no clock, no hand towels, no Kleenex, shower needs updated and the bottom of the tub is very slippery when it gets wet. There are signs that say that so that's a plus. The beds are perfect! Nice and comfy and the linens are so nice and plush! The manager is super nice and the grounds are clean. Would I stay again? Well heck ya! All in all it is a great place to stay, just a few updates and that takes time and money. If you like Mexican food, eat at the restaurant just down from the motel. So good!

New owner who is very friendly and making repairs to a property that was run down. Spacious room, bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Large selection of tv channels. Was better than I expected. Convenient and a reasonably priced if playing the savannah lakes golf courses.

As others said , basic hotel with a friendly owner and clean rooms. If you get there past 10 pm, you have to ring to get checked in , and charged a little extra for the late help. The owner is on top of it all and had emailed us earlier through the booking site. Had I told them the exact arrival time , they could have sent the door code by email. Room is very basic and yes outdated but functional.

Easy to find. Close to SLV which is our reason for being in the area. Owner was very pleasant to deal with. He was not aware of our reservation when I gave him a printed version. It was not an issue. Very clean, neat room, though dated. No American news or tv channels, well, maybe HLN? Over 200 from India or somewhere though. Some Canadian too. Great price point room that did the trick for us. The owner was nice but motel is worn out and not being updated or repaired. Burn marks on toilet seat, sink stopper did not work, lamp shades torn, trash not emptied, bath towels paper thin and no service to rooms. Price is great but should be increased if needed to repair open issues. Motel is only facility in Mccormick and ha no competition.

The place had insects flying around. The water came out dirty from the faucets. Had to let the water run for 45 seconds for it to run clear. Shower curtain needs to changed out and the bed sheets had holes in them.

This property is by no means the Omni or Hilton. But it is clean, affordable with a very friendly and attentive staff. You get more than what you pay for here.

Staff was helpful and room was clean. This was a nice low budget hotel. We were in the area on a Sunday night and almost all restaurants were closed Sunday in this area. Nearby Georgia State park was much nicer than the SC one.

It took forever to check in but manage did apologize.The office was cluttered, the room was ok, but not for the price charged. No clean towels were brought for the 2nd night. There was no coffee pot, tissue and shampoo.The receptacle needs to be replaced. Need another trash can.
