We were on the top floor with a beautiful beach view. We were in the family suite so had plenty of room for all of our travelers. The view was great, the room was okay, but the bathroom was completely filthy, old moldy, etc. It was really gross and to top it off, several of our towels had brown and black spots on them. We had to return them several times to get ones that didn't have gross stains. We felt very dirty showering there. It is too bad, as the beach access and view were incredible! Also watch as everything from parking to beach items are all third party. We couldn't believe that we had to pay for parking with a third party, also they hit us with a 'beach access fee' when checking out.

HORRIBLE HOTEL AND MANAGEMENT I WON’T RECOMMEND IT! YOU NEED TO PAY FOR YOUR PARKING! ROOM DIRTY, REST ROOM DIRTY! SERVICE HORRIBLE! FIRST AND LAST TIME WE WILL USE THIS HOTEL!

Book thinking they would have a bar to relax at. Checked in later evening and was told the bar instide was closed but the outside bar would be open until 11. Arrived at the bar at 9:45 and he was closing but did offer to make us one drink. Was told they offered pastries and coffee in the morning, nothing was available the next morning. Also found a giant cockroach in my room, thankfully it was dead . Hotel outside seemed nice around the pool and bar area and very great location to the beach. Inside was very dated but beds were very conformable.

You need a 100 deposit, and 12 dollars for parking, is a good place

We wanted a fun little get away on the water close to San Antonio. We picked this hotel because it had balcony facing the ocean. However the hotel was not in great condition and the out door bar was playing music extremely loud. When we asked if our room could be moved the front desk said they’d have the dj turn down the music. Instead the dj I’m assuming got upset at the request because the music got louder. We hesitantly contacted the front desk again to let them know what happened, but nothing changed. We travel a lot and have never experienced anything quite like this. We were also not warned about the loud music ahead of time as we would have chosen to stay longer at the sports bar where we were enjoying the World Series.

Restaurant was closed for remodeling. The bathtub had stains or needed to be refinished. The shower faucet and paper holder were in bad shape. The shower handle was placed on backwards. The bed was super noisy even when just turning from one side to the other. I’m not sure why we were charged a resort fee, there was nothing resort like here and still needed to pay for parking each day. The hot tub was broken, no timer to start and water was cold. The view of as great and super close to beach. It would not stay here again.

It was okay. I reserved from a 3rd party and didn't realize there was a 100 dollar hold and because of that i almost couldn't stay. They do charge for every little thing and dont have a decent breakfast. The room was nice but there was a couple of light fixtures and wall outlets that didnt work. I love the fact that the beach was right there and the bartender made good drinks.

The only good thing about the room was the location on the beach! the outside bar was convenient!

Enjoyed the stay. The property was recently purchased by Wyndham and is undergoing much needed renovations. Looking forward to returning if the rates are decent as our suite was not as nice as expected with a substandard bathroom, poorly laid out room that felt both cramped and with mis-used space and floors that had sand everywhere when we arrived. The chairs on the patio were disgusting so we didn't use them, but enjoyed the location, the view, the renovated pool and look forward to the hot tub getting fixed as it was neither hot nor had working jets. Also, one of the elevators was down the whole time and there were plenty of things that simply need renovations throughout the property.

This hotel has a lot of potential. It has a great location and access to the beach. However, the restaurant was closed, so no free breakfast. They were out of coffee in the lobby. One elevator of two, was out of order. After 10 minutes of running water, I gave up on it getting warm. We had an accessible room and the bed was too high. They did provide a step to access the bed. We only saw 1 employee at any given time of day, however, they we very accommodating. The indoor bar was not open. So 2/3 of the lobby was just clean but unusable space. We had to walk a long distance to access the outdoor area. Being handicapped, this was a hassle.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
I would probably stay here again and hope the management solves some of these issues.

1st room had terrible air conditioning, it was cooler outside or in the hallway. They moved us with no issues but they put us in a room where in the room next to us a dog barked all night until 3:30AM, not sure who was louder, the dog or the drunk owner- got no sleep. The next morning my wife tried to shower but it was broke. Just can’t make this up….ill never stay at a Wyndham ever again.
Would have loaded pictures but the Hotels.com app won’t allow.

Great location needs to be updated and jobs that get started like construction on the building need to be finished. Example tape in the elevator panel walls outside the elevator not finished painting on walls not done right. So appearance.

We usually love staying here but I was very unhappy about them now charging for parking. We were in room 210 and our balcony light was not there and there was only an opening with a wire there.

We were expecting to have breakfast the website said was there but there was none. The “Grill” was never open.
The small store was never open.
There is a hot tub but we were told it doesn’t work. You can’t get a drink at the pool and charge it to your room.
Having to pay $10.00 a day for handicap parking was ridiculous. It’s just another way for them to make money.
The room was clean and the bed was good. The young girl at the desk could not answer any of our questions. She just kept saying she didn’t know and sorry. Loved being at the beach, we might come back when they get it together better.

The sliding bathroom door did not stay closed lending to zero privacy when using the restroom or showering. The handle to turn the water on and to control the water temperature in the shower broke off when attempting to bathe. There was no sink stopper to actually bathe but the water temp was not able to be consistently regulated due to the handle breaking and in disrepair.

Worst experience ever, love the beach but never coming back to this hotel!

Music at outside bar in room 3 stories up.. but they do turn down later in the night, so AC then drowned it out..People talking on patio ground floor could hear conversation without TV on at 2am..Mold in the bathtub.. a lot of mold or dirt on bed frame..Walls and furniture were beat up..Seems to be a party hotel for the lower class vacationers..

Didn’t like that you had to pay separately for parking. The hotel was nothing special at all but charged like it was a true resort.

Parking is a mess. As a guest I had to park far from the door. And all the outside visitors had the convenient parking up front.

This property was once really nice, and while the lobby has been mostly maintained, the same cannot be said about the floors above.
The corridors are dark, the carpet is stained, and the walls even have marks all over them as well as some poorly repaired holes. Our rooms had hair in one of the beds, holes in the walls of a bathtub, dank and musty smells. We felt nothing like we did on our previous trip 5 years earlier.
The draw of this location is that it is right on the beach. But it is not worth it. We'd much rather drive some distance than to return here in its present condition.
In addition, we were there as hurricane Beryl was approaching. Even after the city issued an emergency evacuation, the hotel was refusing to let guests check out without charging them the full cost. When we questioned why that was, a staff member told us that the owner ordered staff to stay on the premises during the hurricane or they would be removed from the schedule and go unpaid for several weeks.
We were fortunate to have paid for the insurance through Expedia so that we could be rebooked at a safe location inland. We hated that others were not so lucky, especially the staff who need their jobs.
This is truly the first negative review we have ever left for a property. We are usually very understanding of the struggle it can be to serve guests day in and day out. But we will never come back to this location. Even if they improved the facilities, we wouldn't want to profit that owner.

We almost cancelled out reservation due to some of the negative comments. I called ahead of time and those questions were explained and everything made sense. Had a fantastic stay...Balcony room, ocean view. We will definitely come back.

It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Perfect for the one who wants to get to the beach. We brought food for our mini fridge. And we found a local restaurant for fresh seafood. The room was clean and comfortable.
