Perfect beach house right across from the ocean, loved everything about it. Perfectly stocked with everything we needed, will be renting again!

The views from the house upper deck are awesome and the location of the house is ideal. The beds could use replacing. Kitchen tools (pots/pans) are dismal

This is the fourth time for us, we have made it an annual trip for our family. Walking distance to the beach, town, playground and the golf course, and the deck, perfect. If you're looking for a resort, look elsewhere, this home is the Oregon coast, perfect for a family who want to stay a family. Good conversation, good food and a great sunset. Enjoy

Our two families have visited Manzanita for the past 5 years and this will be the first time we book the same home again. The views from the top floor were a highlight but the whole stay was wonderful. Tons of space and storage (especially for our bikes in the garage!) the bunk bed room was a hit and the games available were such a nice gesture. See you next summer!

Spacious house in a great location - close to downtown and the beach. Wonderful views of the beach and mountain. Pretty typical beach house with some good amenities (lots of towels and glassware, comfy couch, nice fireplace, good heating system) and some that need to be replaced (uncomfortable queen sized mattress, sheets with shot elastic, air hockey table, some of the outdoor furniture).

The house is just a few minutes walk from the beach and the main street in town. The view from the dining room and upstairs family room is beautiful. Comfortable house with nice space for two couples and a teenager. Check-in was a pain with the door code not working. Was able to text with Vacasa to get a new code, but it took a while. Even with the new code it was hard to get in. You have to punch in the code really fast or it doesn't work. With a 10 digit code it's not easy. They should replace the system.

Second time staying here. Great location! Clean house, beautiful view. Will definitely stay again!

Some improvements were made after our previous issues with the house - it looked like the carpet had been cleaned; there was no longer a dog smell. The window lock in the bunk bed room had been fixed, which we appreciate. However now a window lock in the queen bedroom downstairs is broken and will not lock. The upstairs bathtub shower area still looked quite moldy, black mold on the ceiling, in the jets, in the space under the sliding door, still thick dirt or mold in the window track when you open the window. But we did appreciate that some issues had been addressed. We love the comfy feel of the house, the view, and location. Amazing deck!

Perfect size for 5 humans and a lab. Incredible views, comfy furniture, fenced enclosure, beach toys, air hockey, fun! Beach access two blocks south. Recommended!

We’ve stayed at this house for several years with friends and then on our own because we loved it so much. I LOVE this house and location. It is comfortable, amazing deck, amazing view, amazing location just a block from beach access and town. However, there were some issues this time which keep me from giving it 5 stars.
One of the window locks in the downstairs bunk bed room was broken. It would not lock. I felt very uncomfortable having my kids in a ground floor room with an unlocked window. I was able to find a rod to stick in the window to secure it, but this should be repaired immediately.
The laundry detergent used for washing the bath linens and sheets was high fragrance. Please start using fragrance-free laundry detergent. Many people are sensitive to fragrance. My husband and I had mild headaches the entire visit because of this.
There were only 4 bath wash cloths in the entire house. 4 of us were staying there. So that meant each of us got 1 wash cloth for the entire 5 days we were there. There were lots and lots of towels, which is great, but really needed more wash cloths.
When I opened the bathroom window upstairs for some fresh air while showering, there was a ton of nasty grimy… mold?? moss?? caked dirt?? I don’t know what it was, inside the bottom of the window frame. It was gross to look at while having an otherwise lovely shower.
One night it was very windy. We were sleeping in the upstairs bedroom, but the house made an incredibly loud vibrating sound for hours because of the wind, which neither of us could sleep through. Not sure if it was the gutters or what. We moved downstairs to the queen bedroom, but that bed was pretty uncomfortable and taco-y. Not sure if that sound can even be fixed, it was intense. Like someone using a power tool on the side of the house.
Those were the major issues. Besides that it was mostly clean, and again, amazing location and comfortable house. I was also really sad to see that the wonderful pellet stove had been replaced by an electric fireplace, which is basically a screen in the wall that makes lighted fire shapes attached to a wall heater. Much prefer a pellet stove or gas stove, it had been so perfect for cold winter nights there.

We really liked all the different areas in the home to hang out and have fun. The upstairs deck is awesome, especially on stormy Oregon Coast days. The short walk to the beach and town is perfect. The dog friendliness of the home was wonderful for our dog. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

I grabbed the first place I could find, ended up being just about perfect! House was old but clean and somewhat remodeled, I didn't expect many things that the place had for amenities, it was great.

We had a great four days in Manzanitta. This home has so many wonderful things about it. It is comfortable with all the amenities. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It seemed most of the kitchen items were new including cookware, knifes and even the kitchen sink. There were many places to sit and relax inside and out. We loved our stay. It felt like a home away from home.

We’ve rented 19 Hallie lane for several summers in a row. We love the location and the layout of the house. The deck and s awesome! The house is clean and beds/sofas comfortable. The kitchen is decently stocked but I’ve learned to bring my own knives and baking items. I’m sure this house is rented a lot due to prime location, coastal view and comfort. It needs some maintenance- doors replaced, flooring (in some places), new stove etc. everything works, it’s just a little run down.

The views and location were amazing. So was the size and space, plenty of room for the adults and teens to spread out. The only issue we had was there was one fan for the whole house, and there were no screens in the bedrooms. There were a ton of flying bugs outside, and it was so hot, but no one was comfortable having their screen left window wide open all night. I recommend screens and a fan per bedroom. Otherwise, wonderful space and a great stay.

Very nice home with a wonderful view of the ocean. Short walk to both the beach and downtown. The home was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We had wanted to visit Manzanita for quite a while, so were excited to find a very nice place to hang out for a couple of nights. The house was very comfortable and within easy walking distance of the beach and shops/restaurants. There were just 2 of us, but it would be a great choice for a family or group of friends, too.
Some suggestions that would have made our stay even better: we had some challenges operating the lock (the green light is very easy to miss); it was a little confusing as to where we were meant to park (mention of the garbage bin implied we were to use the space in front of the garage ); it would have been great to have had a luggage rack in the bedroom (we weren't staying long enough to use the closet or chest of drawers, living out of our suitcase); a cocktail table on the shady deck in front of the house would make that space more attractive when it is too bright to be on the upper deck.
We did not do our homework to learn which restaurants and stores are open during the week, so information like that could be helpful.

Great beach access and view. Super comfortable and well stocked.

Great location, super close to all the shops, food and the beach. Some of the amenities are dated, but functional. House was clean but has a musty smell.

Over all the house was nice. There were a few things that could use to be updated. It is a very large house with lots of space and lots of games. Very close to the beach!

Nice comfortable stay. Beautiful view of the ocean and easy access to the beach.
Living room smelled of slight “doggy smell”.
Back door wide open and screen door unlocked on arrival.
The front door lock was extremely difficult to lock from the outside, unable, to we came and went through the back door, which was easy to lock.
That is the main criticism.
All in all lovely place. Thank you.

They truly thought of EVERYTHING at this home. Super close to the beach, clean and lots of little extras that helped make the stay really enjoyable. This is an animal friendly house.

The house was perfect for our family and friends. Close to the beach and downtown. We’d definitely go back.

Property was nice, use to beach access. Upon arrival house was 53 degrees, Pellet stove/heater in main room did not work. Could not find more pellets to put into the stove even though the directions ask to make sure there was pellets in stove before turning on. Probably was overall clean… cobwebs in the living room
Light fixtures and ceiling.

BIG house, plenty of room. Kitchen has everything you could need, but grill was falling apart. Beds were soft.

This is a classic (dated but clean) beach house with fantastic access to both the beach and the main drag in Manzanita. We loved sitting on the upper pose here and watching the sunset. We will definitely be back.

This house was great for our two small families with young kids. It was clean, spacious, had amazing ocean views, and was such a convenient location within walking distance of the cute little town and easy beach access. We had a lovely stay!

We went slightly off season (early Sept) and caught perfect weather. Manzanita is exactly the unspoiled relaxing little seaside town that we wanted. I think the kids might have preferred more action at Cannon beach but age before beauty has its advantages. I don't think the write up on here does the deck and its view justice (might want to post pictures of the view guys!). Since this one was not on the beach but one row of houses back we worried that it might not deliver. However, the view is gorgeous especially at sunset with a glass of Pelican in hand! The house is well laid out and suited our 3 generations perfectly. A couple of pieces of furniture are getting close to needing an upgrade but on the whole Hallie House is well decorated, furnished, clean and home from home. We (ok that's the royal WE :-) cooked several meals in the kitchen and it is well equipped. Only thing we felt lack of was a high chair which we shipped and was there waiting for us (We didn't take it with us so hopefully will be there for toddlers in the future). All in all one of the best vacations in years. We miss walking barefoot to the beach and strolling a couple of blocks to Bread & Ocean for a wonderful brunch. WTH let's retire there!
