Ridgecrest Retreat - Welcome to the Ridgecrest Retreat, your favorite home away from home! Perched at the top of the ridge that separates the town of Cambria from the Pacific Ocean, this lovely split-level home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and features 270° views, from the Fiscalini Ranch to the southeast to the Piedras Blancas lighthouse to the northwest. Because of the unique location, you can watch sunrise and sunset from different parts of the house. Relax in the bright and airy great room, which offers wonderful views of birds and other wildlife playing in the nearby trees, the hamlet of Cambria, and the hills and Santa Lucia mountains beyond. The living room includes a 65-inch OLED TV with a state-of-the-art sound system and gas fireplace that can easily heat up the great room and the upper bedroom. The primary bedroom is a haven, with a beautifully remodeled bathroom and a deck to take in ocean views; the colors at twilight are a sight to behold! The large windows are shaded by light-filtering blinds; open the windows at night and be lulled to sleep by the sound of crashing waves in the comfortable Queen bed. The “Aloha” bedroom downstairs also has a Queen bed, which opens out onto a small deck leading into the charming backyard garden. Downstairs also features the small 3rd bedroom/study with a pull-out full-size sofa and a full bathroom between the two bedrooms. You could not ask for a better location in Cambria- just short walks to Shamel Park and its beach, as well as to the Fiscalini preserve with its trail network and captivating variety of wildlife, including everything from deer, wild turkeys, and the occasional fox to views of seals, otters, dolphins and more from the bluffs. Moonstone Beach and West Village with all of its shops and dining are also within easy walking distance. Beautiful location and clean home. Close to Moonstone Beach and Fiscalini Preserve for morning and afternoon walks. Different views from 3 different decks. Peekaboo ocean view, downtown view and garden views as well as beautiful local tree views from the main room. All kitchen ammentities we needed were provided. Upstairs is a little warmer than the downstairs. Parking is a bit awkward being on a hill with no garage access but doable with one car. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and beautiful.

We loved hanging out on the deck which overlooks lovely Cambria. The other deck has a great view of the ocean in the distance. Very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We love coming to Cambria and will definitely stay here again :)

This home is very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. There is a binder that is a must read. It provides all the info you need to make your stay easy. Also of note, for those concerned about the sleeping arrangements, the couch downstairs does indeed pull out to full size once you open the front of the couch as well. A link to instructions is included in the house binder. Overall, I would definitely recommend this home to others.

House was clean and well-stocked with a nice, bright, open living area upstairs. The house does not sleep 6 adults. There are two queen beds, a high quality foam pad (full size?) we put on the floor for our 14yo, and our 10yo slept on the futon with her legs bent. The futon mattress is thick and comfy, but it is between the arms of the sofa, so only a toddler or small child will fit with straight legs. We were fine, our kids don't care, but if we had six adults we would have been in trouble.

It had every appliance needed, and the kitchen was fully equipped, including whole beans for coffee and K cups. You do need to be able to climb stairs. I never got the shower as hot as I wanted but everythig else about our visit was perfect.
