We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home was large and offered lots of space for our group to spread out. Comfortable rooms, well appointed kitchen, and the game room was huge hit! The outdoor space was spectacular and the deck and gardens were a serene place to have coffee in the morning and sip wine in the afternoon. The close proximity to the town and beach were an extra added bonus though I will say that hike back uphill from the beach is bit of a doozy! Still worth the hike to be able to enjoy the gorgeous and empty beach!

Our three-generation family group found plenty of space in this well-located home. We enjoyed the proximity to town and the nearby beach and we also visited Redwoods National Park. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the game room and the s'mores kits were a fun touch. We especially enjoyed all of the outdoor deck space. Thanks for sharing this home. It can sometimes be difficult to find a home for a large family group so we were pleased to find this gem.

There's a lot of good about this place but also a lot of bad. The good is that the place is spacious enough for a grown family of 10 and the management staff is very communicative. The cleanliness of this property though needs much work. In every room of the home there were cobwebs in every corner you could think of. It's normal to believe you're going to see a few spiders as we were in nature but not to this magnitude. My daughter woke up with two spiders right over her head, the bathroom we found a huge spider and on the ceiling of the bathroom were a multitude of baby spiders. In addition to this there is someone who remains on the property at all times. That part is fine however we felt like we were being babysat. If we got in the spa he was there right away to add something to the spa. If we were a little too loud he was there telling us to be quiet. It just didn't seem very reasonable for the amount of money paid for this place. Finally as I was there I got sick. I can't blame this place but in the detached King suite it stunk like bug spray the entire time we were there. I starteda feeling better after a bike ride that we took in the redwoods but I knew as soon as I went to bed that night it was possible things would reignite and sure enough they did. This could be due to climate change but I have a speculation that whatever I was inhaling in that room was making me sick. I would love to give this place more stars however I just can't do that as I will never return.

7 of us took a family trip and stayed here and it was perfect! A woodsy oasis yet just feet from the beach and right in the middle of town. The house itself was clean, cozy and had plenty of space. I wish I could have stayed forever!

This property had top quality appliances and features along with great access to the beautiful Trinidad harbor.

The home was a great place for a variety of things to fo. And walk to the beach was convenient.

The house was wonderful! It was fully stocked with all appliances etc you might need. The driveway getting to the property is pretty rough, I’m glad we had big 4 wheel vehicles. You could get in with a regular car but may be difficult. We did go while it was raining a lot and the road was probably more difficult because of that. Overall, great place! We had a wonderful time!

The property was as described and additionally had a lot of nice personal amenities that weren't expected (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, smore packs, lots of towels, etc) Stay was great - everything was functional and nice. Absolutely beautiful location!

This property was in a great location. It was cozy, but with plenty of space for our whole family. We loved the game room and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was also very clean and the host communicated well.

My sister and I grew up in Trinidad and there were a lot of elements to the property that brought back fond memories. Very quiet neighborhood with lush surroundings and short walk to the beach. The rooms are far enough apart that the light sleepers of our group and no issues with noises keeping them awake. Including the bedroom next the game room (- the pinball machine down stairs).

This house really fit our needs. It gave plenty of space for our family plus it provided lots of activities for all ages. Great place for our family

We had a good time with my family . The kids had a blast with the pinball machine .

This house is a beautiful gem! I can't say enough about the location (in the trees, walking distance to gorgeous beach, walking distance to a great grocery store, 20 min from the Redwoods). The house is SO CUTE and eclectic! It has rooms and spaces for so many different activities - games, reading room, pool, and a HOT TUB!! I absolutely LOVED the kitchen which is the only reason why I cooked on vacation! We will be back!! It was FABULOUS!!

We liked the home and it got the job done with a nice location in Trinidad, with a walking trail to the beach. We liked the game room too. Only complaints were the road to the house - and I never care about this, I don’t mind steep hilltop roads or unpaved roads, but the potholes were so huge the bottom of our rental car fender was scratched. This may end up costing us. The kitchen also really needed some additional utensils. It’s a great house but needs a bit of TLC.

We really enjoyed our stay. The weather was a little on the cooler side so we didn't get to enjoy the patio much but we loved the nature trail that's just right there and the walk to the beach. The hot tub was clean and ready to go and felt wonderful. Kitchen was well stocked and very useful. Lots of sitting in living room and we enjoyed a movie. Neat house. Layout is a bit different but it actually makes the rooms all feel private and quiet. Only 4/5 stars on cleanliness because there were spiders on webs above the bed in the "casita". And webs and spiders other places out there so it might need a good vacuuming on a ladder :) Otherwise, we slept wonderfully in the comfortable beds and would highly recommend this home and happily stay here again. Wish we could have added another night. Great restaurants in Trinidad!! Go the the Lighthouse Grill and get the Tuna melt!!! Grocery store is very expensive but in easy walking distance. Communication with the hose was a breeze and we had no problems. No complaints. Thank you for lovely accommodations. What a beautiful property.

So many things to do and explore at this lodge - Billiards, Foosball, Star Wars Pinball, Hot tub, Ping pong. We were celebrating 4 May birthdays and had a great time.

Lots of room, clean, excellent response time if you have questions . House is very dated, however everything was in good working order, except for a few light bulbs that were out. If you have a large vehicle parking is a bit cumbersome. Walking trail to beach was nice, but needed a little bit of maintenance and seems to be a public beach access not private. We did enjoy our stay.

House had plenty of space for 3 adults and 4 kids age 3-12. Large beds were great for our youngest and for our older kids to share. Well furnished kitchen and cozy living room. Main entryway was pretty cold, but the rooms all had good heating. Hot tub was great for soaking after a long day of hiking. Very close to the beach and a short drive to some amazing hikes. Overall was a great private place for a family getaway.

This location was perfect! Easy access to services, while having a feeling of seclusion. We loved having the ability to walk all around Trinidad without having to drive anywhere.
We had lots of space for everyone to hang out, but I didn't find the table leaves until we were checking out. A notebook with details about the house and location would be a nice addition.
I would love to see more homes with a "kids room" (multiple smaller beds). Not everyone travels in bed-sharing pairs, particularly families.
There was lipstick on the comforter in one bedroom, and the kitchen counters could have used a deep cleaning. The hot tub made everyone's legs itch.

We had a wonderful stay at the property. Great location. Lots of space. Perfect for me and all of the immediate family. Old friends and their family came over for a birthday dinner and had a blast walking down to the ocean.

Absolutely loved this place! It's very unique with an odd layout, but feels very homey and comfortable. It also feels very private but is within walking distance to restaurants, gift shops, a grocery store, and the beach. There were so many more amenities compared to previous rentals we have stayed at. My nerdy husband and I really enjoyed playing the Star Wars pinball machine together.

We stayed here five rainy days with our four adult children and two of their spouses. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Even though the weather didn't allow us to spend as much outdoor time as we would've liked, the house and game room allowed us to make some great family memories. Their was plenty of room for all of us (we did rent the mother-in-law quarters) for creating memories, cooking, eating, and playing games.

We are a group of 70+ year olds. The woman were college room mates 50+ years ago. The house was a bit of a maze. It seemed rooms had been added on at different times and the layout was awkward. Light switches were hard to find. The downstairs bathrooms were bunched together. The kitchen was crowded, single file around the island, The refrigerator was very close to the island. We have been getting together once a year for many years January but because of schedules we had to wait until February this year. We did have a good time and Trinidad is a very nice town. It was farther away from where some of us live and the weather made it even longer. The house just wasn't laid out as nice as houses we have staid at before.

This property was very clean, kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The grill worked great. Having the pool table and other games was great for the young adults in the group. Plenty of room so that our group of eight did not feel crowded. Great house for a group. Would certainly consider a return visit in warmer weather!

The house is even better than advertised. The trail to the beach is world class and the serenity of the property goes without saying. Can't wait to come back!!

This home had everything our large family needed for a fun weekend to celebrate my son’s graduation. A well-appointed kitchen, gas barbeque and a nice big dining table with leafs (leaves?) allowed for a great family dinner. The adjacent living room was large and cozy with a wood pellet stove and lots of comfortable seating and a big tv to watch the World Cup. The bedrooms were all comfortable with their own heat/connected to central heat, and nice beds and linens. The bonus was the game room upstairs with a pool table and foosball, and a pinball game in the breezeway…the younger family members had such fun in their own space. They also enjoyed the hot tub under the trees. The trail down to the beach was perfect for a sunrise and sunset hike. Felt like we were far away from it all, but in reality just a 2-minute walk to the market or restaurants. Would definitely stay here again - perfect for a large or multi-family trip. Property manager was super nice and communicative.

Really nice property for a group. The home has a very unique layout with big windows and beautiful views. The pinball machine, foosball, pool table, and hot tub make it a win for all ages. Not to mention, the short walk to the beautiful beach at Trinidad. There is a very well-stocked market within walking distance, as well as restaurants and hiking trails. I highly recommend this property.

Nice staying experience in woods . Close enough for beach trial. This property is kind of old.
Hot hub we used outside and it is very good.
