Welcome to Lakin' it Easy! This 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath newly remodeled property boasts panoramic Donner Lake views from two decks! Perched up above the lake on Denton Avenue, the eclectic design and décor throughout creates a colorful and fun atmosphere. Highlights include plentiful outdoor furniture, a hot tub, unique art work, an open and bright kitchen and plenty of great room space for your group. Conveniently located on the north side of Donner Lake.

Truckee is a small town in Northern California with some big-time soul becoming a hotspot for outdoor enthusiasts because of its access to an endless list of recreational attractions. The major draw of this particular property is its access to Donner Lake, a freshwater lake that offers some of the biggest trout in the state. In addition to fishing, the lake is open to both powerboats and sailboats. Hugging the southeast of the lake is Donner Memorial State Park, which offers an array of activities all year round. If you’re looking to hike, there are several trailheads within a 10-20 minute drive from the property. Those who love to golf are also in luck, Coyote Moon Golf Course and Tahoe Donner Golf Course are 2 superb options that can be reached in less than 5 miles. Historic Downtown Truckee is a 10-minute drive where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and historic walking tours. In under 25-minutes, you can be at Northstar California Resort, a popular destination for avid skiers and mountain bikers that offers additional offerings such as; spas, pools, kids camp, and more! A drive to picturesque Lake Tahoe is 25-minutes.

=== 1 ==== CANCELLATION POLICY
Traveling to the Sierra mountains at any time of year has inherent risks and uncertainty such as public health policies, unexpected or forecasted snow/weather, variable air quality, fires and other natural disasters, road conditions, traffic, personal health or events, eviction due to guest violation of the rules and policies for the property, and other circumstances beyond the property owner's control. Depending on the platform, you may have to pay a 4 percent cancellation fee that the credit card processor does not refund for any cancellations.
As such, guests are hereby instructed to mitigate their financial responsibility risks by purchasing "cancel for any reason" trip insurance.
Our cancellation policy is STRICT: maximum refund of 50% when cancellation is made no less than 60 days in advance.

County Short-Term Rental Permit restrictions are strictly enforced. The County Permit for this home limits guest occupancy to no more than 10 persons (of any age) at any time. We have no control over the law. Violations of this policy will result in an immediate, no notice, $500 per additional person per incident penalty fee, charged to the reservation credit card, AND (1) probable notice to vacate the property immediately and (2) full loss of remaining rental fees paid.

Smoking in any form is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property (inside or outside). Guests should be aware of the extremely high sensitivity of the neighboring homes and the property owner, concerning this policy. Any violation will definitely lead to (1) immediate notice to vacate the property and (2) full loss of the deposit and (3) full loss of remaining rental fees paid.

Parking under this lease is strictly limited to no more than 3 vehicles. Street parking is not available on the adjacent street nor permitted in this neighborhood. Street parking can sometimes be found on Donner Pass Road.

For the safety and security of our guests, motion sensor cameras monitor the driveway and side yards.
=== 6 ==== INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS - MOUNTAIN ENVIRONMENT
This home is located in a mountain environment. Guests are required to be prepared for all mountain environment conditions, including but not limited to possible exposure to slippery, uneven, unpredictable ground conditions; falling pine cones and other nature events; bears, coyotes, bob cats, racoons, squirrels, chipmunks and other wildlife; dogs on or off leash; and every other mountain environment condition. Occupancy of this property is predicated upon every guest indemnifying and holding harmless, the property owner for any results of exposure to or contact with mountain environment conditions.
=== 7 ==== GARBAGE AND RECYCLING DISPOSAL
Disposal of garbage and recycling MUST FIT IN THE CANS WITH THE DOORS COMPLETELY CLOSED AND LOCKED, in the large, metal, bear box at the bottom of the driveway. If the volume of garbage does not fit, guests must take the excess garbage offsite. Fines for excessive garbage range from $200 to $500. Fines for leaving the bear box doors open or garbage anywhere outside of the bear box start at $1,000 per incident and may exceed $5,000. Such fines will be immediately deducted from the guest's deposit.
