Being met by a very helpful and friendly housekeeper!
Ability to park at the property or the option of a permit for the nearby town carpark.

Stunning character property. Immaculate throughout. Comfortable. Great location. Lovely decor.

The cottage is lovely and very nicely modernized. Interior is tasteful. Modern bathrooms. The beds are very good. The location is central but very quiet. The parking lot in the house comes in very handy (only for small cars).
After booking and pre-payment, we received a request for an additional deposit that needed to be paid before arrival via wire transfer. That was not mentioned clearly on booking.com pre-booking, also the booking confirmation only mentioned it as a cash on arrival deposit. The deposit was returned one day after departure.
Also, I received an email with a legal letter stating that my three-day tourist booking does not represent a shorthold lease and that I have no protection against eviction! That procedure does not feel very welcoming for a tourist intending to stay 3 nights I have to say.

The property was central to Stamford and had parking facilities.
Had clean high quality, tastefully furnishings.Location quiet.
Access to a washing machine, iron plus board would have been an added bonus.
We managed to park our VW golf but anything larger would have been a struggle and with no additional parking permit would have been problematic.
The twin bedroom shower cubicle was functional but tight for space and would have been challenging for someone larger in stature.

Great location and lovely comfortable accommodation with stylish furnishings
Just a shame there was no garden as the weather was warm but we knew that before we booked so not an issue

The location is excellent… very close to the town but far enough away not to be disturbed.
If pushed I’d say there was microwave. But …

A lovely place to stay. Immaculately maintained and presented. A great location close to the centre of Stamford but still quiet and peaceful. Excellent hosts who were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

What a gorgeous quaint property in the fantastic location! The cottage was well appointed, extremely comfortable, cosy and had a home feeling about it.
It was perfect for my husband and I.
These are personal preference, but an iron & ironing board would have been very useful.

A beautiful, comfortable place to stay. We loved it. Stamford was really enjoyable too, musing through the shops with loads of nice places to eat and drink.

A beautifully presented house and great location. the little extras included in the house were a lovely touch. Claire is a great host and replied quickly to my messages when I needed some help and advice. We would definitely stay again when we return to Stamford.

All communication with Claire was exceptional. The property was immaculately clean and well equipped. The location was perfect, easy walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants but in a quiet street with very little passing traffic. Definitely somewhere I would stay again.
Parking could be an issue if your car doesn't fit in the car port. The nearby car park has time restrictions. We were fine with our Corsa.

Stunning property, beautifully & tastefully furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Owners couldn't have been more helpful with our trip. Lovely personal touches including a welcome hamper including prosecco & milk in the fridge. Fantastic location perfect for Burghley Horse Trials. All made for a brilliant girls trip to Burghley!! Highly recommend we'll be back!.

Everything was ideal. Lovely, quiet, picturesque location a short walk from the centre. Beautifully furnished property equipped with everything you need. Spotlessly clean, it even smelt lovely! The icing on the cake was the welcome hamper and supplies in the kitchen. It made us feel immediately at home.

A very nice stay here for 4 nights. As soon as you enter you know you are in a high quality place with pleasant quality scents and colours. The lounge is very relaxing at night indeed with tall double doors to open onto a picturesque street. The facilities, kitchen utensils and appliances, coffee machine, bedding etc are all of a high quality. Great location in a quiet beautiful street. The hosts were great and very communicative and efficient with every part of the booking making it relaxing knowing things would be taken care of if needed. Extremely homely and relaxing!

The house is beautifully furnished, extremely well equipped and in the perfect location.
It was absolutely immaculate and has fantastic furnishings, luxury bed linen and comfy pillows.
Touches like the welcome hamper, which included Prosecco, cookies, Kettle Chips, milk, coffee pods and teabags was really lovely and thoughtful and much appreciated by the whole family.
The master bathroom has a great bath and shower, the fluffiest bath mat I have walked on and super-soft,extra-large towels - there were even travel sized toiletries for us in the bathrooms,
The street is very quiet, despite only being moments away from the centre of Stamford and The Meadow, we all had wonderful undisturbed sleep as it was so quiet.
It was extremely hot while we were visiting, but fans were provided and the downstairs master bedroom in particular remained lovely and cool.
The teenagers made use of the Xbox in the evening and loved how dark their room was thanks to the electric window blind.
Instructions to access the property were very straightforward, Claire is absolutely brilliant and communicated with us every step of the way. We were kindly treated to a lie-in on the morning of our check-out which made our two boys very happy.
There was a parking pass available for when we checked out, so we could have a long brunch and a stroll by the river before we left - which we were very sad to do.
We are planning on making this an annual trip and we would love to stay again - hopefully for longer next time.
We couldn’t fault it.
