Our stay at Huella Carmin was excellent. Our hosts were welcoming and very friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully designed, with a view of the valley and surrounding mountains that is absolutely picturesque. A family of artisans, the workshops, patio, and galleries were filled with their creations: ceramics, rugs, and rainbows of natural-dyed wool were on display throughout. Additionally, homemade artisanal mezcal and chocolate products were available for tasting and sale. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to spend in this remarkable accommodation, enjoying the ambience and taking advantage of the various workshops that they offer.

Great place to stay, lovely and welcoming family happy to show you around their workshop and they offer some outstanding wool dying/weaving experiences
Unfortunately, there was no shared kitchen even though it said so in the offer

We liked everything and wish we could stay longer! The room was big, spacious and had some nice outdoor seating to watch the sunset. The hosts were such friendly, creative, and lovely people. The location was beautiful!

The breakfast was delicious and served in a pretty courtyard, close to where their looms are located. Wish we would have had the time to learn how to roast cacao beans or prepare wool for dying and the loom. Very gracious hosts who showed us briefly how they make beautiful rugs and wall hangings. They also have a gallery with their own pottery and rugs. Our hostess took us to Sunday morning market which was fun.
A couple of steps from the bedroom to the outside bathroom made me stumble a few times so could have been better marked. One thing that wasn't the fault of the owners but there was a party in a house across the way that was very loud and went on until 2am so was quite difficult to get any sleep.

The room at the top is fantastic and had amazing views of the town and the sunset. The family are a tightknit group of artisans and artists. They make their tapetes from start to finish - from the raw wool to gorgeous yarn to beautiful woven rugs. They also make their own mezcal and chocolate, and Patricia even made me a cup of the homegrown coffee.
Through a miscommunication, I had to change rooms on my last day, to a nice but lesser room. I had asked for an extra night after getting there and loving the place. I think this could have been solved if I'd booked the same room online as opposed to just verbally agreeing. These folks have a lot going on...

It was all such a lovely experience. I highly recommend!
