About this cabin rental
WE'RE BACK! It's been an unprecedented time and we're so blessed to be able to offer Aerie to guests again! WNC, though having suffered so much damage in so many areas, still has so much to offer. Autumn is here and the fall colors are peaking!
Aerie is a unique and wonderful location to sit back, relax, enjoy some long range views, observe nature, and unplug from daily life for a while. Make plans soon to visit-to rejuvenate yourself, as well as to help support the regrowth and rebuilding of our local towns. (4WD/AWD access only).
There's a peace to be found here in the Blue Ridge Mountains - a sense of returning to 'our roots' - to be at one with nature - to be quiet and listen - to feel the harmony of things. Aerie is one of those special places that affords this luxury. Just 15-20 minutes from Asheville, Hendersonville, Biltmore House, and the Blue Ridge Parkway (once the BRP can reopen). This unique 'roosting' spot is surrounded by nature, featuring a stunning window wall, open LR/DR/Kit, 2 BR/2 BA, deck, hot tub, & fire pit area. NOTE-4WD/AWD (and a sense for adventure) is REQUIRED!
While perhaps not a 'cabin' in the traditional sense, we like to think of Aerie as a 'modern cabin' given its contemporary design, remote mountain location, and rustic decor. Situated near the end of a privately maintained, single lane gravel road (4WD or AWD REQUIRED), Aerie features an open living/dining area with a stunning window wall conveying the impression of being perched high in the tree canopies. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a king-size bed and private bathroom; and the living room sofa features queen-size pull-out sofa-bed. The full kitchen is complemented with everything you need: a large island with under-counter bar seating, range, oven, microwave, full refrigerator, dishwasher, ample cabinet space, dishware, cookware, glasses, utensils and more. 5" Hickory hardwood floors throughout embody a sense of oneness with nature. The main deck has both an open area and a covered porch. A 7-person hot tub is tucked beside the cabin and the firepit offers a perfect spot for evenings spent stargazing and enjoying some scrumptious 'smores. During your stay, you'll be serenated by a variety of songbirds, may see busy little squirrels and chipmunks, and be fortunate to see some of our local wild turkeys, deer, and black bear families. If you're really lucky, you may even see a reclusive bobcat. Should you choose to stick close to the cabin, Tinkling Springs Lane and Log Gap Road offer some local hiking options as well. So, don't wait - reserve a few nights at Aerie to relax and unwind, to get away from the hustle and bustle, to enjoy the calming effects of Mother Nature at her finest!

We had an incredible time and I would recommend this house to anyone. It was modern, private, had a fire pit and hot tub. It was a newer house with everything you needed. Kyle communicated very well and took very good care of us. We have told all of our friends and we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you again!

I love the Fairview area, and this property was not too far from everything, and even the road (need 4wd) was not too bad to navigate. House was pretty much the last one and is new, and has pretty much what you need for a couple getaway its perfect (or for more, room for 4).
The best highlight was seeing black bears coming around every morning and dusk foraging for berries. Mom and her cubs were super cute. Once you realize they aren't dangerous as long as you don't get close to them or scare them, you can simply talk loudly and they know to stay away from the house. Watching them from the deck or inside was really amazing.

Everything in the cabin was beautiful. Owners are very detail oriented and we had all we needed. We saw bears and deer too.
Be sure you come in an AWD or 4 wheel drive. It’s a very steep drive up the mountain. But worth the drive.

We had a wonderful stay at Aerie! The photos don't compare to how truly nice this place is in person. The cabin was cleaned and stocked with everything you could need, including coffee and tea. There are a few grocery stores just a short trip away to stock up on anything additional you may need. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and plan on booking another stay in the future

This place was everything it said it would be and more. We stayed for two nights with another couple. Perfect layout for two couples. Aerie was clean, clean, clean. Beautiful views, beautiful rooms, beautiful furnishings. Nothing was overlooked, right down to make-up remover pads for the ladies, lovely robes for everyone, extra snuggle blankets, wood for the fire pit, even a little mason jar of chocolate. The fresh loaf of banana bread that was left for us was the icing on the cake. It's at the tip top of a narrow somewhat rocky road. Our host had warned us about this from the beginning and we had no trouble getting there. The juice was worth the squeeze. The only thing that went wrong was that we couldn't stay longer. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place! But way to many bears for me! 7 different ones of different sizes came to visit. Every day we were there! Road was very challenging. But a wonderful place to visit to get away from it all. Thank you we loved your beautiful cabin!

We had an amazing time at Aerie! Everything was perfect and clean. When they say 4x4 is required, don't ignore it! The house is up a small, windy, steep road. We have rented a few mountain homes over the past few years, and this one was by far the nicest. There was absolutely nothing out of place! We will be staying here again during our next trip to Asheville!

We were looking for a relaxing stay near Asvhille and Aerie checked all the boxes! This wonderful property is located in the middle of the forest, the views and sunsets were gorgeous! The decor of the property was perfect and everything was flawless. Kyle and his wife are amazing hosts and we can't wait to visit Aerie again in the near future.

I found this gem, while looking for a getaway to propose to my (then) girlfriend. I feel like I hit the jackpot! This spot exceeded every expectation! Immaculately clean, modern yet cozy, comfortable in every way! The owners thought of everything a guest could need, and were wonderfully communicative. If the Aerie is available, I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Asheville!
** AWD is not a friendly suggestion! You will need it!

It’s been a long time since we stayed in a vacation rental and had such an amazing experience. The road to get there was no joke so follow the host's instructions carefully. It rained most of our stay so we were especially glad for the 4-wheel drive in our rental truck. The drive up was well worth it once we got to the top and enjoyed the amazing views. Upon arrival, we were also greeted with some homemade banana bread and a special note. Plus, the outdoor lights were on which was helpful in the dark. Cell phone service and Wi-Fi worked well. We appreciated the setup with two suites including king-sized beds. Although you can put 2 more people on the pull-out couch, we’d recommend sticking to 4 since the bathrooms are located inside the bedroom suites.
Bed linens were soft, towels extra fluffy, and mattresses divine. Some (certainly not all) of our favorite other small touches included nice quality t.p. (yep, we noticed!), homey décor, bedside tables with lamps, liberal use of mason jars for storage, access to a washer/dryer with supplies, hangers in the closet guest book, towels just for the hot tub, nicely stocked kitchen with high-quality items, and more!! It really felt like a home someone was living in while still being welcoming to guests. If we’re ever in the Asheville area again, we’d be back.

We chose Aerie as our weekend getaway for a girls trip to the Asheville area.
First off, I want to say you can tell a lot of love was put into Aerie to ready it for guests. The property has huge windows to appreciate the beauty of the woods surrounding it. There are even leaves etched into the glass. The interior furnishings are a mix of modern and antique pieces. All of it charming and none of it detracting from the main focus - the view.
Communication with Kyle was excellent. He gave us thorough directions to navigating the windy road leading up to the property (4-wheel drive needed for sure). Signage and the welcome book in the home answered all other questions.
For a property so secluded, Aerie has all the amenities of home and then some. You will not be wanting for anything. Grab some takeaway, sit back, and enjoy the scenery and sounds of the forest. I can’t recommend Aerie enough.

To start driving up the hillside was great. Made us feel like we were in nature. The place was amazing. The view from the large windows was breathe taking. Wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary and couldn’t have stayed at a better place. We even had an exciting sighting of one of the black bears that live in the area. Great place..

We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in Aerie and experiencing the sights throughout Asheville. The accommodations were clean, organized, and modern. The cabin had fantastic views and was very peaceful. We spent quite a bit of time outside on the deck or around the fire pit. We were lucky enough to see a momma bear and 3 cubs below the deck. We would definitely return to this property.
