Me and my family (including parent and siblings, with children) had a very enjoyable stay at this property for 10 days. We were 9 adults and 6 kids (ages 1-12)
Outdoor area (pool and garden) of the property is very good. Indoor is not so interesting, but has basic facilities.
You will need a car to get around. By foot is not possible as there are no sidewalks. Bikes I would not recommend either as there are no dedicated bike lanes on the roads and street lighting is not good after dark.
Closes thing around is 5 minutes away by car. There is a restaurant and small supermarket with limited selections.
Larger supermarkets are around 7-10 minutes away by car (Lidl and Aldi).
Other restaurants are further away - around 12-14 minutes by car.
Beach (which is very good) is 8-10 minutes away by car.
The only small annoyance that we had, was with dogs in neighboring houses. Sometimes they were barking during the day. Both at each other and at us, over the fence/bushes, when we were being close to the house border.
One time when I was taking the trash out (which is 2,5 minute walk from house) two dogs came running towards me out on the road and barking loudly. I was scared for a few seconds wondering what they were up to, but turned out they were mostly curious - not threatening... but an experience I could live without.
The property owner was very helpful with accommodating our wishes and responded quickly to messages and phone calls.
All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely consider going back to the same area and property.

The house has 5 bed &bath rooms to host at least 10 people, as well as a big open area to enjoy social life close to the fire place or the swimming pool. Proximity to the small super market at the golf resort gives easy access to all what is needed to prepare breakfast or dinner. The access to the long and more or less empty beach though requires a car drive or a 40 minutes walk.

3 generations of my family thoroughly enjoyed their week in Paula's villa. The garden and pool are well maintained and not overlooked, and the house is beautifully furnished and well equipped. It is a 20 minute walk to the golf complex shopping mall. The supermarket is well stocked and the restaurant provided a good range of options. We enjoyed every meal there. I would recommend a hire car if you wish to take advantage of any nearby tourist attractions.
Without doubt I would give our holiday a " cool" 10 out of 10

We (7 people) have had a fantastic stay in Aroeira and in Paula Alves villa. Roomy, comfortable and well-equipped. Compared to other houses that we have rented, Paula's villa really had the atmosphere of staying in someones home. Our focus was on golf - and our favorite course was Aroeira I where we ended up playing 3 days. Aroeira II is also a good golf course, but it did not have the same finish and lacked a proper clubhouse. In the resort there is a small shopping centre with a grocery store that had most of the things we needed plus a bar and restaurant. From the resort, there is a five minutes drive to a fantastic beach. Very impressive!!! We had a rental car but also used the taxi service recommended by Paula - which worked out very well.

Beautifully situated villa in pleasant surroundings yet sitting around the pool you'd think you were completely isolated. Great place to explore LIsbon and the various beaches. Villa is extremely well set out with plenty of space inside and outside so you are always able to find that quiet spot to read, rest or just chill out.
The pool is great but give serious consideration to having it heated. The villa was clean and met our expectations fully. The owner was extremely helpful and was very knowledgable about the area.

From the very beginning of planning this holiday, for myself and my family, the owner of this beautiful property could not have been more helpful. She has excellent communication skills, is very approachable, friendly. The grounds of the property are surrounded by emerald green grass, flower and shrub beds. At night all is watered by sprinklers that secretly pop up out of the ground and give it all a good soaking. (Don't get caught out or you may get a good watering too!)
The property is beautifully presented and fully stocked with everything you could want on a holiday. Included in this is a very comfortable outside seating area, sun loungers, huge bean bags, table tennis and a lovely romantic outside dining space, complete with barbeque, tap water (should the flames get too high) and a pizza oven, which we didn't use but it was there if we wanted it.
The property was spotlessly clean and there was lots of space for all the family without being on top of each other. We were a family of 8 with a mixed age range from 68 to 10 years and there was something for all of us. The swimming pool is magnificent and was a hit with everyone. (We had asked if it could be heated but the owner advised that wouldn't be necessary and it wasn't!)
We didn't have a car with us but made good use of the local taxis service and also of the two available bikes which belonged to the owner of the property. Approximately a 23 minute walk away or a 10 minute bike ride is a café/restaurant and bar (which we ate at and was very nice), a supermarket and a boutique. We bought wine (both chinto and branco) very cheaply at 2 euros a bottle and it was very drinkable! The supermarket were kind enough to provide a driver to follow the bikes home and deliver our goods. The café will provide a take-a-way which was very useful on our last night.
A taxi to old Lisboa to see the sights is well worthwhile and a tour of the city in a tuk tuk, is both fun and slightly dangerous! It's like being on a roller coaster, if you get the right driver who is out to impress.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday villa to anyone, except perhaps those with very small children as there are safety issues. You'll absolutely love it!!

The villa itself is very well appointed and looked after with plenty of space for extended families to spread out. The furnishings are comfortable and the house is well equipped with table tennis and table football. There are beautiful artworks on the walls. The development is pretty with walks through pine trees to the cafes. Paula met us as agreed. I would recommend this villa. In terms of negatives the noise of barking dogs at nighttime from other properties was persistent throughout the night. Also there were dogs roaming the development so jogging became a bit of a problem. Finally, the pool heating was not that efficient and we couldn't get a TV signal. Our impressions of Portugal and Lisbon are very positive with friendly service in all the restaurants and cafes. This area around Lisbon is beautiful. The local beach was excellent- very laid back with cheap, fresh seafood restaurants. Sintra is worth exploring as a local attraction that had plenty to keep all ages occupied.

Spacious, and welcoming villa in beautiful surroundings; clean and all commodities available. Friendly and helpful owner. Plenty of space, even with 5 couples/families around you still feel you can have your own space. Would definitely recommend. :)

The property was very clean and well maintained. We found the villa to be very spacious taking into account there were 8 adults. We did not hire a car but I would certainly recommend this as it is quite a walk to the nearest restaurants and bus stop. We were a little disappointed at the temperature of the pool as it was it seemed cold but Paula was very helpful and said she had increased the heating time for the pool when I mentioned it to her. The local restaurants were great and everyone was so friendly. The beach was superb and we had a really nice meal for my husbands birthday at one of the restaurants whilst watching the sunset. Overall we had a wonderful time and I would certainly recommend this villa.
