Pictures don't do it's justice! The place is like out of a fairytale! The hostess/owner truly lovely person! We celebrated our wedding here as well as stayed here for a week beofre hand. All our guests were amazed by the place! Big thank you!

We had an amazing week and wedding with our friends. Everything was clean and very spacious, the pool is awesome. The best thing is Chiara, who organizes everything, wine tasting, bread delivery, taxi and most important two great chefs who came to our Villa and cooked for us. We will definitely be back soon :)

Chiara hosted our wedding weekend.
I can not stress enough that pictures on here don't do the property justice. It is one of the most spectacular villas we have ever seen.
Chiara (the host) is so lovely and very attentive.
The place it swlf has got so much space, so much offer and is so wonderful, we're hoping to go back for our 10 year anniversary.

Villa Santarsa is one of those properties you just have to experience. The journey up the mountain is an event in itself and Chiara is always on hand to help. The Villa is lovely, everything is clean and functional. A few things could be improved upon such as outdoor tables repaired with chunks of wood and jagged screws, some chairs were a bit rickety, some utensils had seen better days, but overall it was an awesome place to stay. There was waldlife galore around the Villa, we saw Wild Board and Deer, and even a mouse running up the wall in the dining room....which we promptly dealt with. There are very few places in the world that you can open both bedroom windows and have clouds gently float in and out. The thuderstorm was spectacular with hail as large as an olive! I loved Villa Santarsa and will be returning again.

We had a great time, despite the heat. It's a bit of a drive up the mountain to Santarsa specifically, so make sure you have enough cars!

This is a magnificent property in an equally magnificent setting. The only challenge is what also makes the property so breathtaking. It is located several km up a narrow winding road (though in very good condition) that affords a tremendous view. Ensure your vehicle is up to the climb! Chiara and her family are priceless...so very kind and welcoming. The facilities were SPOTLESS and all that was logistically needed was provided, but bring EVERYTHING with you regarding food and beverage. There is a nice market in Sansepolcro (COOP) that can provide for all your needs. Make sure to review the "Services" links...catered meals are available; delivery of baked goods (worth it) and a beautiful spa, horse back riding and more. The photos are accurate, but the real location is even better...wonderful outdoor grill and pizza oven, several kitchens and tremendous dining room with fireplace. Chiara is responsive, extremely pleasant and very professional. I cannot say enough good things!

Everything was perfect, the house and the view even more beautiful than on the pictures!

Villa Santarsa is incredible. The pictures do not do it justice. The view is breathtaking, especially the sunset. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I recommend you rent a car if you are staying at the Villa since it is isolated. The drive to the Villa is up a mountain on a one way street which took some time getting used to but was fun! Chiara is wonderful and so helpful. She was our wedding planner and did a fantastic job. We had 26 people stay at the Villa and still had plenty of space. I recommend you get the chefs in the Villa who are well worth the money. Overall we had an incredible time and we will be back!!!

We had a great time as a group of 18 friends (9 kids) staying at La Conca (Santarsa). The views were spectacular and the property was quaint but comfortable. Chiara and her family were kind and thoughtful. Their little store was convenient for quick and inexpensive beer/ wine runs. Exploring the property was good exercise and fun adventures for the kids and adults. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this property to friends! BTW, the pizza oven made spectacular pizza (and the dough we bought from Chiara was fantastic).
Things to know that I didn't see previously mentioned: 1. The pool is pretty cold. I don't know if this is because it's new and it will warm over time or if it's always cold. 2. The bedrooms have thick wooden shutters that keep them very dark which is perfect for sleeping in on vacation. 3. Be prepared for lots of bugs. Bring DEET for mosquitos but also there were flying insects, beetles, etc. The rooms seemed to be sprayed with insecticide because the bugs all died quickly and none of us had any stings or other problems from the bugs. 4. It was really warm in the day and moderately warm at night in August. You might want to bring a small fan to use at night. There are a few fans avaialable but not enough for every room. 5. There are a lot of uneven surfaces and steps. I wouldn't recommend Santarsa for people with mobility problems. 6. Food and alcohol prices are ridiculously low compared to the US. You can save in your vacation budget in the food category more than we expected. 7. I recommend renting a car if you don't have one. Otherwise you're pretty stuck at the top of a hill (which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's fun to get into town for activities, exploring, and food runs!).
This place is great! If you go be sure to check out the night market in Anghiari!

Serenella, Chiara and Family, we are so lucky to have met you, your hospitality is amazing! Villa Santarsa was simply perfect for our families, we had the best time! Your property is full of character, beautifully restored and set in amongst serene Tuscan nature. The apartments and rooms are spacious, clean and the facilities are fabulous. This truly was the highlight for all our families staying, and we will be back again to visit someday. I wish Australia wasn't so far away, I would love to even pop in now to say, Ciao! Again, thank you so much, let's keep in touch. We truly made a great connection with you for future years. Brava! Love Karissa and Families xxxx

We loved staying at La Conca!! Chiara and her family are incredibly friendly, helpful and warm hearted. Everything we wanted was possible to arrange together with Chiara. From bread service to cooking class, wine tasting and the wedding dinner. Even when we asked to park our camper for two weeks, they offered us a spot at the lake, near the house of brother Luca. And when I called the family at 10pm to ask some flour for the pizza's, la mamma provided us the ingredient, including hand picked oregano from her garden.
We stayed at Santarsa. According to us, the best house at La Conca. The 4,5km uphill drive from the street to the house is an experience itself. The view is definitely amazing! We held the wedding ceremony under a beautiful tree, surrounded by a field, the hills and a breathtaking view on the valley. Afterwards we had dinner at the patio in front of the house and an extremely fun and long party underneath the porch. Because we were in the middle of know where, we bothered nobody. It was perfect! Above all, the clean, rustique vibe of the house made us feel right at home.
We hope to come back again and again in the upcoming years.

Chiara and her family were lovely hosts. The villas were perfect for our extended family of 27 over 2 weeks. There are plenty of places to go for peace and quiet, or to be more sociable.
The bakery delivery every day was wonderful, and we loved the fresh pizza dough from her - cooked in the wood oven.
The private chef was lovely, and made deliscious food one evening, and taught us another evening - and we went to his homely restaurant another night.
The wine tasting in the villa was worth doing, and good value.
My favourite of all was the outdoor covered seating area. Great for shade during the day, and light at night. We relaxed and read/ played cards and games here during the day - and ate, drank, and partied here of an evening.
What a great place, great location, great hosts.
I will be back!
