About this apartment rental
PLEASE DO NOT USE “BOOK IT NOW” BUTTON FOR FIRST INQUIRY. SCROLL DOWN TO OWNER AND CLICK “ASK OWNER A QUESTION” TO DISCUSS PRICES. You are not instantly confirmed as we still have the option to decline it. Xmas and New Years weeks need to start on a Sat or Sunday for 6-7 nights.
We are owners and own one condo so we can be flexible and beat or match any advertised rate for a zephyr condo and you get a renovated larger, quieter unit. The cheapest rates will be for 5 night or longer stays within one calendar week. We will give deals to completely fill in holes. We can't do midweek to midweek stays. Vrbo is not like Expedia where bookings are instantly confirmed. When clicking "book it now", the homeowner still has to either approve or can deny the booking request.
IF YOU FILL IN ANY HOLES COMPLETELY, WE CAN GIVE A GREAT DEAL
Rates do not include tax, clean $225 parking $22 day in winter (free summer) payable to lodge directly, or home away service fee.

Key differences in comparing our condo to others:
Our condo is:
1. 25% larger than most 2 bedrooms-note distance from fireplace to back window (1100ft)
2. Is a penthouse with vaulted celings.
3. Has more real beds 2 Kings (King and bunk bed in 1 room, King in the other + sofa sleeper + crib)
4. Has a larger deck with grill
5. Is in the slopeside building which has direct ski-in out access. We are THE closest bldg to slopes in all of WP. Look at a ski map.
6. Has been renovated and updated
7. You are guaranteed of where you will be. Going through the lodge you may end up with a 1st floor unit looking at construction.
8. Is quiet because it's a top floor end unit with no units across the hall. In other units it is possible to hear neighbors, snowcats, people in the hallway, the train etc. I've stayed in riverside bldg of zephyr and heard buses backing up and I've stayed in Fraser crossing and heard loud people from the central hot tub and hallways. I'm in Fraser C now and it's unbelievably loud.
NOTE: the new base village is complete. However this means that if you do not stay at the base you will have to :
drive to upper parking lot (10 min), change (10 min) walk to new gondola that goes from lot to start of new village (5 min), wait for gondola (5 min), walk from gondola through village just to get to Zephyr. ( 5 min). It can add at least half an hour each way. OR you can stay at the zephyr roll out of bed and ski (no walking) to zephyr lift.
Or wait and take shuttle bus from town (20 min) to start of new village and walk 5 min to zephyr.
Even if you stay at the base there is still a walk from any base building to the zephyr lift. Ours (slopeside) is the only bldg you can ski down to the lift with no walking at all. See photo and look at ski map.
How can it get any better?! Zephyr Mountain Lodge is the only property located in the center of the action at the base of Winter Park Ski Area. Hence it's the only true ski-in-out (no cat walks). Built in 2000, it's also a newer property. Hallways, common areas, lobbies have all been completely renovated. And new elevators and new larger ski lockers have been installed. So why should you rent from us?
Convenience-convenience. You don't want to waste time on your vacation and ski-in-out is the way to go. The lift is literally outside the door (110 feet away). We are in the Slopeside building so you can literally ski right to the door. For the Riverside, fraser or founders building (not us) you have to walk a little bit.Think of it-drop the kids off at ski school then walk back, stop at Starbucks, and leisurely put on your skis while everybody else walks from their car.
Too warm? Go back and shed a layer. Two feet of powder and you can't wait for the slow pokes to get ready? Just go and meet them in a few runs. Hungry? Go back for lunch, take off your boots, relax. If somebody in your group gets tired just send them back while you ski. If you drive or take a shuttle it adds at least 20-30 minutes each way and you still have to walk with skis and take everything with you. Since you go as a group, you end up wasting time waiting for people. You get a lot more skiing done with a ski-in/out Condo. The rental shops are right there as well.
Larger is better. Our unit is a Penthouse end unit. It has vaulted ceilings and its quiet. There is nobody next to you, above you, or even across the hall. At 1100 square feet it is larger than a standard two bedroom which is 868 square foot. Most two bedrooms at the Zephyr have only enough room for one bed in each room. Our unit has a king and a bunk bed in one room and a king in the other with space left over for a crib or mattress. Our balcony is also larger. Of course you also have access to four hot tubs, a fitness center, private ski lockers, and heated underground parking.
Internet access- We have wireless internet access in the condo.
As you are renting directly from the owners we offer discounted rates and try to be reasonable. If you find a lower rate through the Lodge we will beat it.
The best reason to rent from us? We can tell you all about the secret powder stashes, glades, where to avoid crowds and icy spots and just how to ski the mountain.
Still not decided about Winter Park? There’s a new gondola outside your door, a renovated village, improved snowmaking and new glades in Eagle Wind. Winter Park consistently gets more snow on a daily basis than resorts in Summit county. Mary Jane has the best bumps in the nation. You can ski for days without doing the same line. There's glade skiing (improved this year), above tree line skiing, hike to adventure skiing in the Cirque. Of course there's plenty of cruisers and the ski school is great. There is a separate learning area for beginners with magic carpets. There is fantastic cross country skiing at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch and Devil's thumb and some of the best snowmobiling too. It the summer there are mountain bike trails galore (500 miles) and Rocky Mountain National Park is close by. At the base there is an alpine slide, trampoline, mini golf, chairlift rides, hiking and a human maze. This year Winter Park has added lifts and done many improvements.
April renters. FYI I've had the most powder days in April than any other month consistently. Skied on closing day April 30 and the whole mountain was open with a 68" base. They had received 30" of snow from April 20-30. It was mid winter conditions.

everything was great we all were comfortable.

Our family of 4 had a great vacation in this Winter Park condo. It was exactly as advertised - large, clean and very quiet. The location is excellent and wonderful communication with the owner and instructions. 5 stars all the way around.
5.0
Excellent place to stay for those who have several different levels of skiers. Direct ski-in ski-out and the little ones can watch you come down the mountain. A short walk to shops and restaurants and the security is top notch. Highly recommend !

check-in procedure was easy, condo was well-stocked, property manager was communicative and location is unbeatable
5.0
Great location, super comfortable, unit was well stocked with all the necessities, and check in/out was a breeze. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Penthouse unit in Zephyr’s Slopeside building at end of building. Very quiet unit, with easy access to everything at the resort base.
David is very responsive and informative. I never had to wait more than a few minutes for him to respond to a question or to get back to me.
Instructions to access parking and the unit were easy, along with suggestions of where to ski to avoid crowds.
Would definitely rent from this owner again.

Nice location and owner was very communicative and informative.

David was great to work with and the condo was amazing.

Unit is on top floor of Zephyr bldg. Ski out from 2nd floor and ski in from the Corridor trail from Mary Jane. Unit has two large bedrooms and a comfortable living/dining room. Parking is available for a fee in basement of bldg. Bldg and unit are clean and quiet. Plenty of dining options in town.

Great condo.

Owners communicated proactively and gave detailed information on check-in and tips on managing the ski trip. Condo was clean and comfortable for me, my wife, and two adult kids. Nice ski lockers with easy access to Corridor trail and Gondola lift (Corridor is Spanish for "keep your speed up otherwise plan on walking).
We cooked all our meals there with the nicely equipped kitchen. The 2 bathrooms were good size. We would most definitely stay there again.

Our family had a great time at this condo. The location can't be beat. The unit was spacious and comfortable. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us.

This place was a super fun stay for our weekend ski trip! Plenty of space and couldn’t have been a more perfect location! Host was super helpful in check in process and very responsive!
4.0
The place was nice and the Property Manager was good to deal with. The only issue is that the property doesn't have good ventilation so if you are staying in the Summer you will be hot in the room. There was one small rotating fan in the master bedroom that barely helped so I recommend they obtain larger fans and add them to each room for a more comfortable experience in the summer. Other than that, it was a good experience.
4.0
Not sure why this place had the heat on in the middle of July. The heat made sleeping uncomfortable. The fans should have been out and easily accessible but we found the fans in the cabinet underneath the bathroom sink. The most unlikely place ever. This didn't do us any good since we only stayed overnight and we found the fans right as we were cleaning up to check out. None the less, the place was nice, clean, convenient to downtown winter park where we were going for the Jazz Festival. I would recommend.

This ski in/out location is amazing. David the host was so great with communication throughout the whole process. The neighbors had a huge party the last day and could not hear a thing. We were here last week of February, great boarding. Problems in day 1 with the hot tub and was fixed with in a day. Never had to call David, other patrons complained to main desk.
Best location right by the gondola!
2.5
The condo was perfect for our family of 5. David was very helpful and easy to reach. Definitely recommend!
2.5
The condo was large and on the top floor. The unit was clean and had all the amenities you’d want for a short term stay. The check in was super simple. I would definitely stay here again.
2.5
Host provided excellent instructions and was very responsive. Location is fantastic, condo was quiet and spacious and we had everything we needed. This condo was perfect after a long day of hitting the slopes.
2.5
What a wonderfully spacious condo. It was big enough and slept 5 adults very comfortably. It is a true ski in and ski out condo. The convenience to the slopes and to the ski lockers can’t be beat. We have stayed in many Zephyr condos over the last 10 years and this is one of the nicest and most convenient. The cons—there really is no view from inside the condo. There is a big wall on the balcony and if you are short (like me), you can’t see ver much over the wall to enjoy the view. There is no privately run shuttle service from Zephyr as advertised. They used to have one but the HOA decided several years ago to discontinue the service. This made it really really hard for us to get groceries from Safeway. We had to take suitcases to the store and pack them up, carry them through the snow and wait for the black line bus to take us to and from the store. There is no Uber or Lyft services. Uber and Lyft apps indicate that there is service but there is no service. Maybe a better option for us next time is to rent a car.
We needed some measuring cups and there were none to be found and we could never get the fireplace to work besides just a very small flicker. It would have been nice to have some hot tub towels or robes to use for the hot tub and there were only 5 towels total for our entire trip. It wasn’t a big problem, but could have been better with a few more towels or some extra towels for the hot tub.
The owner was very responsive to every email I sent and offered suggestions. We lost power for a few hours one night (the entire village lost power) and this caused us to not have hot water for a day, but it was restored and we were able to enjoy a hot shower before we left.
Our biggest complaint is not about the condo-we would for sure stay here again, but it was the village itself. Many restaurants were closed or closed early without any notice. Websites for these businesses didn’t indicate they were closed. It was super frustrating as we had planned our meals and eating out was part of our plan. If you plan to rent skis, you must reserve them ahead of time. We didn’t do this and most ski rental places were out of skis.
All in all, we had a great trip and loved this condo. Highly recommend!!

Our family of four really enjoyed this VRBO. You can’t ask for a better location! It truly is “ski-in/ski-out” and is in the hub of everything “Winter Park”. Check-in was a breeze, and the condo was very comfortable and spacious. The owner was quick to respond to our questions. Overall a great experience!
2.5
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very comfortable. Not an awful lot open near by during the "off season" but just a short drive into town.
2.5
We loved the condo and it was perfect for a bike race! It was so nice to be right on the slopes near restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay here again!
1.5
We have stayed in two other units and been very satisfied. This unit had problems that were not addressed. Wouldn’t stay in this unit again.
2.5
This property was clean, cute, and well-stocked. We had everything we needed for our week of DH mountain biking - comfortable beds, stocked bathrooms, clean fridge, coffee pot. The owners were prompt and polite. It was a bit warm at night though, even with the windows and patio door open; no A/C in July.
2.5
Very quiet location - we literally did not hear a single neighbor the whole week. We found everything as advertised.
2.5
Loved the location! Owner very helpful!!
2.5
Great ski in ski out location. Plenty of space. Quiet unit. Our only complaint is that the condo could be a little cleaner. It was a bit dusty and there was trash under the beds in the second bedroom along with food crumbs in the table cracks. Still, this was a great place to stay, with plenty of amenities and comforts. Ski locker access was good. Check in and check out was easy and explained well by the owner.
2.5
Everything was great from the condo to the helpful of the owner. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to return in summer for hiking in the mountains.
2.5
This place was perfect for our MTB vacation at Winter Park. We loved it!
2.5
Well maintained and great communication with the owner !!! We would definitely stay here again.

Communication with owner was easy and quick. Great responses.

This is a two bedroom condo on the top (7th) floor in Winter Park village right next to the Gondola and shops/restaurants. Great location. Two bathrooms--one in-suite. The condo is clean and functional, but not luxurious. Needed kitchen items were all available. There is a large balcony--larger than most of the other condos because of it position in the building. David, the owner, communicated very well and took care of any issues immediately. The price was reasonable. There is only one washer/dryer for the entire floor and the change machine was on the second floor. This could present a bit of an issue during a busy week. I would definitely stay here again and recommend highly. The parking was in the basement of the building and is free in the summer (I think about $15-20/day in peak sesason).

First time visit to WP and we couldn't have been happier. Loved being so close! Great condo-- so nice to have the 2 bedrooms, bathrooms, and fireplace. The only thing I could suggest for improvement would be a map of where the riverside is to get the keys. We were able to find it, but it took some searching. David was very responsive to any questions we had. Thanks for a great visit-- would love to come back!

What a great experience! We'll definitely be back - the location was exceptional and property was described perfectly.

We could not have been more happy with this condo! The owner kept us up-to-date with all needed information before our vacation. This condo is located in the heart of the Winter Park Resort and overlooks the village. There is something for everyone here! We have definitely saved and shared this condo with friends and family!

Great value and location. Excellent communication with the owner. Smooth and easy check-in process. Clean and quiet property on the top floor. Highly recommended!

The place was easily accessible and very clean. There was plenty of space for all of us staying and the description of accommodations was extremely accurate. The staff and owner were extremely helpful and friendly.

Booking was easy and property was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and the close proximity to downtown Winter Park

This is a very nice condominium on the top floor of the Zephyr Lodge at the base of the mountain, steps from the Gondola. The bedrooms are roomy and the mattresses are very comfortable. The living room couch was also very comfortable for relaxing The kitchen equipment was in excellent working condition. The two hot tubs were clean, in working condition and just the right temperature. The ski locker for this unit was large – enough to accommodate several pairs of skis/boards. Underground parking was very convenient with easy access to the condominium. The owner, David, was very accommodating and answered all my questions The instructions he provided were clear and extensive. He responded to my personal questions regarding restaurant recommendations as well. I would stay in David’s condominium again when I visit Winter Park Resort.
