Wonderful, well-situated gathering place with all the amenities for a large family to celebrate. Small and large spaces for everyone's needs. Outdoor space and extra carriage house a plus!

All 19 of us had a wonderful time at this house. The house was very clean, Robin was very responsive and addressed any concerns quickly. The location was great and we would love to stay there again.

We had 12-18 adults staying in the house for 4 days. Plenty of space to spread out and ample hot water.
Kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We cooked most meals at house.
Great location and close to restaurants in Wakefield, close to beach and bike trails.
Lots of parking for 6-7 cars.
Nice front porch for having coffee in the morning.
Lots of towels for showers and beach towels too.
I highly recommend this house and the host was super responsive on all questions.
We saved thousands of $$ vs renting 10 hotel rooms.

We were a group of ladies that had an amazing stay in this beautiful home. The well stocked kitchen and living room are spacious. There are so many places to sit and hang out which made it a perfect rental home for our group. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms are all as pictured. It was a short ride to Point Judith for the Block Island Ferry and a pretty ride to Newport. Robin was a great communicator. I highly recommend this home, it is fabulous!

We stayed there for my daughter’s graduation from URI. There were 10 of us and the place was so spacious and extremely well appointed. Anything you could need was there.
The weather wasn’t great, but we had plenty of room inside. Wish we could have used the outdoor space more. The carriage House game room was awesome. If we ever have another big group to go down that area, we will definitely stay there again.

This was a perfect and amazing place for a long overdue family reunion. Plenty of space for us all. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Definitely will be planning to come back here for the next family reunion in a few years. Highly recommend

I stayed at this property with a group of 14 for a girls weekend in April 2024. The house is beautiful, and the open concept kitchen/dining/living room was great for a large group to hang out. Plenty of space for 14 to sleep comfortably. The carriage house is a fun bonus. My only (small) complaint is that most of the bedrooms didn't have curtains, so they get a little bright in the morning. Still, we had a great time, and I would definitely rent again or recommend to another large group!

We had a work meeting and off-site strategy. Property was beautiful and sufficiently large for our full group and our meetings. Thank you!

We were here for a pre wedding celebration and it was overall what was pictured. There was some issues where not everyone had a bed though the vrbo listing said it would sleep all of our guests, this was not the case.
The largest issue was the leaking pipes through the ceiling causing our party of 19 to be out 2 bathrooms and showers leaving everyone with one shower to use, the bride and grooms. I am hoping to hear back from the host for a partial/full refund as this did cause a lot of inconvenience and fear for safety during our trip.
Besides those 2 elements, it was a good experience had by all!

We were pleasantly pleased with every aspect of The Wakefield. It was clean and well stocked with staples. We were within walking distance from the center of town and a few minutes drive to the beach. Our age group was from 7 years old to 83 years old. Everyone had a wonderful time.
We highly recommend this home for you vacation destination.

We enjoyed "The Wakefield' for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The first floor has an open concept living room, dining room, kitchen, a spacious area for all to hang out. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable. We went on some lovely hikes and enjoyed a wonderful restaurant down the road. We played bocce outside on the narrow strips of grass that surround the house. We also enjoyed a couple games of pool in the attached spacious carriage house. A wonderful spot!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. My extended family and I visited Salve Regina where my cousin plays football. My family ranges from 11 months old (my nephew) to 81 years old (my grandfather) and the house was beautiful and accommodating for all of us. We hope to stay there again someday. Thank you again so much.

Booked this house for a family gathering and everything from the communication with the property manager, Robin (excellent and responsive), to the beautiful layout of the house and amenities was wonderful. The open concept downstairs provided ample space for our large group to relax together and the large kitchen and dining spaces were great for fitting all of us at meal times. The kitchen was well stocked and each of the 9 bedrooms were beautifully decorated, large and very comfortable. Overall, the entire process was seamless and I highly recommend this house for future guests! Would definitely consider staying here again!

This was our second time staying at The Wakefield, and we love it. The home is beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for a large group. And the neighborhood is so cute and walkable. I felt like I was in a Christmas Hallmark movie. There are lots of nice beaches and walking paths in short driving distances. And the host was incredible! When we needed a mixer to do some holiday baking, they went and bought us one! It was such a great stay, and we would for sure return.

This is our second stay at this property and we can't say enough about how EXCELLANT it is. Robin is an amazing Property Manager and she took care of our every need. My wife and I are both Veterans and we decided to wrap in a Friendsgiving Turkey Day and our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We had twenty family and friends for a full trimmings Turkey Dinner and everyone was seated comfortably. A plus was that there was a large Veterans Day parade in town and my grandson and I were proud to march in it. Also, it was a beautiful day to walk the nearby Narragansett Beach!
We have stayed at many VRBO properties in the last fifteen years and this one is by far the best. Immaculately clean, huge space and the separate game room building is a definite bonus.

Well appointed, beautifully decorated, stocked kitchen. Close to town, and we enjoyed the bike path that was right around the corner. We all loved it!

Lovely, clean, well-stocked, spacious home. Five couples fit easily with room to spare. I was in a wheelchair and the property was accessible with assistance but not without assistance. A portable ramp was provided so your friends can get you in. You can then get around on the first floor. There’s a large first floor bedroom with roll-in shower tho the toilet did not have a grab bar so you’ve got to be able to work around that. We had a commode that we put over it during the day. We loved the property and had a great time. Note that the road was iffy for going anywhere in a wheelchair so I ended up skipping the walk everyone else took. It may have been ok but it’s the kind of street where you may need to jump up onto the grass as someone whizzes by. The property manager was very helpful and quickly answered our pre and post booking questions.

This house is incredible. Close to URI campus, easy access to beaches and fits an incredible amount of people (and cars). We had large reunion for homecoming weekend and had 11 adults staying in the house very comfortably. The house was well equipped and we hosted a lobster boil our first night there and with the fabulous weather really enjoyed the outside area. They had big stock pots and lobster crackers, it was a blast. We had a lot to do on campus and were close enough to come home between events.
Perfect for us. A few notes would be that they don't provide shampoo/body wash, which is not a complaint, but I know helpful for folks reading this review to know. Also, I wish there was a bit more seating outside on the lawn, but we made do with what we had.
This house was so clean and comfortable and it was the perfect place for us to gather and catch up after twenty years apart! Thank you for sharing it with us, the weekend would not have been the same spread out over four different houses and battling for restaurant space for all of us.

My mother always wanted to go up north. This house was beautiful and we all wish we could have stayed longer. The house was a little harder to find, because I was looking for the house empty of signs and the picture made the house look more yellow. It’s white and has a sign in the front yard close to the street. But that is where my complains end. House beautiful, every room wow. Lots of space, plenty of bathrooms for everyone to have their own. There were four of us and a dog. Oh, and a walking trail for the dog, 2 blocks away. Perfect after a 7 hr drive. Host was perfect and answered all questions in a timely manner. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This property did not disappoint. We all had a fantastic time. The kitchen had everything we needed and each of us having our own bedroom was a huge bonus. We loved the Mansion Tours and the shopping. The best was playing games and spending time together. Would book this house again.

We have a large family group that loves to hang together - but also to have their private time. This lovely spacious property allowed both, which kept the stress level at a minimum. Would totally recommend!

I beautiful house with a wonderful kitchen. Fun playing pool in the carriage house. A nice yard for yard games and visiting with family. Robin the Property Manager was very responsive and helpful. Wakefield is a great location near beaches and more.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wakefield and found the home and carriage house provided a great layout for our family gathering. Bring your own toiletries for the showers as there are none provided. The property description of "just renovated" was accurate in 2016 so you'll find everything is nice but not brand new. A fast turnaround between renters led to issues with cleanliness; the manager and owner responded to our concerns. Overall we would recommend the property for a large group gathering.

This was the perfect size for our huge family vacation. The house is stocked with everything you need. Everyone had a great time! Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful home to host our girls trip! Close proximity to beach and stores. Spacious home and yard to host our party of 18 people and 2 dogs. The kitchen is well stocked so check it out before going to the grocery store. We did not have any issues during our stay but prior to the trip Robin was responsive, accommodating and answered all our questions. Highly recommend!

The space in this house was totally amazing. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO‘s around the country, but this one is rated in the top of our vacations. Love, love, loved it!

I rented this house almost 15 months prior to my son’s graduation from the university of Rhode Island. I wanted to make certain we had a family celebration to acknowledge the unique challenges that the last few years brought upon these college kids. We enjoyed all of the on-site amenities of the property and the proximity to quaint Wakefield, URI and the Narragansett beaches!!! It was an absolute perfect graduation celebration that will be a lasting lifetime memory!

The Wakefield was plenty big for our large family and bridal party. The game room was perfect for the late night bachelorette festivities. The house was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. 30 min to Newport and RI beaches & restaurants. Loved our stay and highly recommend this property. Robin was a peach to work with as well. Thank you for making our daughter’s wedding weekend even more special ❤️

We had a large group stay here to celebrate my sister and fiancé before their big day. It was perfect. From the amount of space, to the yard, and carriage house - we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Communication leading up to the stay was excellent, and we loved that so much was provided in terms of towels, games, and kitchen ware. We will absolutely be back!
