About this cabin rental

Swim, fish, canoe, kayak, paddle boat and enjoy the lake from the dock. Roast marshmallows around the bonfire. Tugaloo Park is 1.5 miles away - enjoy the amenities - beach, tennis, picnic area, mega boat ramps with parking fee.

Rocking chairs on the screen porch with electric fireplace over look the lake, deer feeder, fire pit and gentle sloping path to the dock. Updated kitchen and sitting area with a dinner table for eight. Ensuite with king and full bath on main floor. Downstairs has a large bunk room with two queen/twin bunks and one twin/twin bunk plus full bathroom.

The daylight terrace level family room has a washer/dryer closet and also leads to patio. BBQ grill is propane and charcoal; bring your own fuel. Nearly 1.5 acre wooded lot offers private get away. Concrete parking for 4+ cars with stairs leading down to cabin.

We offer a paddle boat, 2 canoes and 1 kayak with paddles and life jackets.

My favorite part of this cabin is that there are no homes within 150 feet. You may see deer, birds, eagles, hawks and other wildlife.

We are 41 minutes from Clemson University & 62 minutes from University of Georgia.

This property was as advertised. We had a great stay. The check in process was easy and house was clean on arrival. The home is well equipped and the dock was amazing. We would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was perfect for our family with every amenity you could need or want. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed the kayaks and the paddle boat. If you love wildlife you will love this place. The deer are everywhere and you get to feed them which I loved. And Fred….IYKYK. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay and loved so much about the house: The kitchen is well stocked The back porch is lovely to hang out Loved the grills, kayaks, corn hole Internet connection a good 90% Lots of towels AC worked well (it was hot hot hot) Enjoyed the deer and Fred the Duck! The only reason we might not return is the comfort of the beds. Also the dock would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Due to water levels being low there are two 2X4s and a pallet rigged up to extend to the dock.

This worked out really well for me, wife, 3 kids and dog. The lake and dock were great and the kayaks, cornhole and fire pit were a nice bonus. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location especially if you have multiple kids. The downstairs bedroom has multiple bunk beds allowing kids their space. Tons of deer come to the feeder when you place corn in it. Would rent again.

Wonderful property! Great for people and for pets! Great access to lake and we really enjoyed the dock, screened in porch, and firepit. Rental had everything you could possibly need- very well stocked and accommodating! Loved seeing all the wildlife as well. Great trip enjoyed by all

Pictures don't do this place justice! Aside from beautiful & plentiful furnishings, the area itself was breathtaking and did our suburban souls good! From watching deer families come & go to meeting Fred the Muscovy duck and watching the squirrels play chase, our stay was solid 10. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot & the kitchen was fully stocked...the only thing missing was maybe a pizza wheel for when we didn't really feel like cooking ;) Wonderful getaway, thank you having this place available.

Bill's place is lovely and was great for a long birthday weekend trip for our foster daughter. It meets or exceeds the photos in the listing. We appreciated the wagon to carry our things down to the water. We also liked that you don't have to go up & down flights of stairs to get to & from the lake. Do be aware that there is a flight of stairs down from the driveway, then back up into the cottage. I did contact Bill during our stay & he responded quickly. We enjoyed swimming & fishing from the dock - didn't catch much, but we did get a few. Didn't get a chance to use the canoe & kayaks, but all the equipment was available. One thing to note about the wi-fi, we brought our own streaming stick and it and both of our phones connected & remained connected for (the vast majority of) our entire stay. The LR TV, which is just a few feet from the router, and the basement TV both struggled to stay connected. To his credit, Bill tried to resolve the situation, but not much he could do. Cudos for the effort Overall, a great place to stay at a peaceful place. Highly recommended!

The lake house couldn't have been a more perfect place for our family to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Clemson, her 21st birthday and Mother's Day. Plenty of space and everything we needed. Viewing all kinds of nature on the cozy comfy porch. Grilling hot dogs and smores at the firepit. Swimming in the lake, sunbathing on the dock, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboating. A great time was had by all and cherished memories were made. What a beautiful property! Just what we needed.

We had an opportunity to go to Lake Hartwell for a wedding. We saw this posting and corresponded briefly with Bill, the host. He was extremely prompt in responding. The property was fantastic. I definitely recommend it. Bill notes some wildlife in the post. We did have a duck and deer that liked to taunt the pup, which was very funny.

Wonderful getaway with all the comforts of home. Beautiful sunset from back of the back pf the property overlooking the lake. Not a great fishing venue, but was fun trying! The owners think of everything. They even have deer corn and bird food to feed the wildlife. Nice sized fenced area for the dogs. I highly recommend this venue for family gatherings or couple's retreat. It was just me and my daughter this trip. We had a great time making hotdogs and smores in the firepit. Very relaxing few days. Makes me want to sell my house in SC and find a cute place like this one.

We arrived Thursday and stayed until Sunday, during which we enjoyed the lake, the wildlife, and a great football game. The kitchen is stocked very well! Tons of towels for water activities. It was a good quick trip to a cute cabin!

Beautiful home on Lake Hartwell that is very well maintained and stocked with everything you need! Nice yard with daily visits from deer and ducks, beautiful piebald deer who is very friendly! Large fire pit area with plenty of room and firewood on site! Very nice gravel trail to the dock that’s pretty flat especially for a Lake House, located on a nice cove with easy access to Marina! Owner provides some canoes and a pedal boat but we didn’t use as we rented a pontoon boat to explore the lake! Owner responds quickly to any questions or concerns! Wonderful long weekend on the Lake except for the rain, but really can’t control that so we just hung out on the beautiful screened in porch when the storms moved thru! Will most definitely return!

This is our go to property for lake Hartwell. Owner has made several updates to the property with refurbished walkway to the lake and an updated firepit. Just love this spot.

We were not notified as to the door code and it took us about 20 minutes to get this completed and in the house, The house was great! Very spacious and had everything you will need for your stay. We loved the dock and the water was wonderful. Yes, we saw loads of deer and there was a duck that liked to visit us everyday. My son and daugther-in-law had end of the month reports due and the internet was not stable. We were without it 2 times at first and then from Tuesday til Friday the second week we were there. There is construction going on and they keep cutting the lines apparently. Another things you might want to consider is there was no notice of poisonous snakes. Nothing in the description on the internet and nothing stating this on the property. My son was bitten late Saturday night and the emergency unit was wonderful! Very prompt and caring enough to come back after getting him to the hospital to see if they could find it and kill it. Needless to say, it was gone. The owner was notified and yes, it is nature, but I believe both VRBO and the owner need to provide more information to the renters to be cautious and this is possible at this facility. Bill offered a free day for the problems, however, we all needed to get back. So, the first week great and the second not so great!

The house was cute and a great place to gather. My friends and I mostly hung out around the kitchen table, screened-in porch, or the dock. I really liked the large size of the dock and comfortable chairs. The house is in a cove, so it's very quiet.

We had an amazing time at this Lake house. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The furniture was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed to get you started. It was fun watching the deer and geese walk around and after a little pep talk our pup learned to tolerate them. After learning that one of the restaurants we used to enjoy nearby no longer allows dogs on the patio we ended up grilling at the house and it turned out to be more enjoyable than eating out. The only minor downside was that the water pressure was a little low. The king bed was comfortable. The owner was accommodating. We will definitely come back in the future.

This cottage was all we were hoping for. Great location on the lake. Cottage well stocked with towels and blankets and utensils. Loved feeding and watching the deer and duck. All in all, a great place and time. Thank you.

We had a blast at this home. When we're on vacation we're usually on the go the whole time, but on this trip we didn't leave the house for 3 straight days. This home has everything you could possibly need. We had an amazing and relaxing stay!

I booked Bill’s place for a quick birthday weekend getaway with some friends and my dog and am so glad I did! The house was a great size for my friends and I and only a short drive from Atlanta. Bill was so great at communicating and the house was well stocked. My dog had a great time enjoying the water while the ladies enjoyed the dock. Will definitely be back for future trips!

It was a very Serene and peaceful atmosphere. The deer seemed almost as neighborhood pets. The kids were really excited to see them up so close and be able to put out feed for them. Beautiful view of the lake nice clean home. Very much like the pictures online. The only take away was that the downstairs was really cold took a while longer to heat up.
