We had a wonderful stay in Paris. The location was great. We had 2 families so the layout was ideal. I would definitely stay there again.
4.9
The apartment was actually two adjoined apartments, which worked perfectly for our large family party of seven. We had room to spread out but also have some privacy - the young ones were on one side and adults in the other. Being able to make some meals in the kitchenettes in the apartments was very handy, especially as cafes don’t open as early in Paris as they do at home, and having a laundry was great. The location was perfect - we walked to the Louvre area several times and there were lots of restaurants close by and a metro station or two. The place itself was very charming; although obviously not the most modern apartment it was very homey and I enjoyed the character and feel of the place. Perhaps a lamp in the ‘red’ apartment would be nice to avoid having to put the overhead light on. I would definitely recommend it for large family groups.

This apartment was lovely and so large. There were 7 of us traveling and it was very spacious. Very clean apartment. Lovely convenient area with many cafes. Host and check in was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay. There were five of us, including our teenage son. David and Isabel were wonderful. Check in was very easy. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and with wonderful cafes. It’s located near major sightseeing locations. In the mornings, we enjoyed walking to get pastries and taking them back to the apartment to savor. We would explore Paris during the day, find a cafe for dinner and then return to the apartment to relax. The beds are so comfortable and the sleeping rooms are quiet. It is just like the description and pictures show. There were sitting rooms and well supplied kitchens. We were able to do laundry which was very helpful during travel. I highly recommend this property!!

This was our family’s first trip to Paris and we picked this historic older apartment bc it had the right amount of beds, bathrooms with toilets, and living space. There’s 4 BRs, 2 BAs, 2 LRs, 2 kitchenettes. We had read all the apt’s reviews and felt this would work for us (5 adults), bc we wanted to be able to be together, and not crammed into 2 small hotel rooms. For the price we paid we were really happy with this lovely older building. Granted, the rooms were smaller than the photos show but the windows are nice; and the beds were decent and comfortable along with the blankets and pillows. We ate out each day at the local patisseries and cafes, all within walking distance of the apt. The Monoprix was across the street, and we went every day to pick up water and other essentials. There were plenty of lights in the ceiling, and we could control the heat (we went from 12/28-1/3), and had good Wi-Fi. Note that the apt (there are 2 small apts as 1 unit) is up one flight of curved stairs from ground level and we did not use the elevator (extremely small). On our 4th day we finally found the light switch for the hallway, LOL! That was helpful bc, in wintertime it is dark in the morning until 8:30, and gets dark around 17:00. The showers were a bit of a surprise; the black and white one shown in the photos is quite tight; and the grey beige one was large but showering was a challenge bc of the showerhead and short curtain which allowed water to get on the bathroom floor. But there was plenty of hot water and the apt has lots of towels. If you want a fresh towel everyday, there’s a washer/dryer combo unit that was a little difficult to figure out, only bc we are not fluent in French. The apt is in a safe and secure area, the one BR faces the street so there is city noise, but the rest of the rooms are quiet. Isabella, the property manger was very helpful, before we came she answered all our questions, helped with all our requests and was extremely nice to meet us before the check in time, as we arrived before 16:00. The Metro stations are right down the street and we literally were at the museums and other tourist attractions within minutes each day! Overall, this was a great trip and Isabella and David were generous and accommodating; and this lovely apartment made our first trip to Paris enjoyable and comfort and perfect for us.

The apartment was somewhat grim, poor air circulation, lights didn't work all the time. Kitchens limited. No ovens, no temp regulation. manager couldn't speak English. very confusing. I guess thats what you have to pay for a apartment for 7 in good location in Paris but thought for $9K for 8 days it could have be more modern and crisp.

This place worked perfectly for our little family of four. Wonderful location. We walked everywhere and found the supermarket and nearby restaurants extremely convenient.

David is an excellent host and did a great job with everything. He is one of the reasons we were able to get out of France before the lockdown. He even offered to give us another week in the future to make up for our shortened spring break. Even though the circumstances were not ideal with covid-19 it was a perfect location and we can't wait to come back and enjoy the best of Paris.

The property was everything and more. David met us promptly, even though we were several hours early, and showed us all the ins and outs of the apartment and the neighborhood. The weather was a bit cold in March, but we never felt it in the apartment, and the steam heating was completely effective.
This was not our first trip to Paris, so we weren't in a rush to see all the sights, and we were able to unwind during the day when shopping and relaxing got too taxing. This is David's neighborhood, and we would run into him on our shopping trips to the Monoprix and the boulangerie. He was effusive with his help and was a warm and inviting host.
We are already planning a return trip. A Bientot, David

Our family of 4 (2 parents, 2 teens) stayed at David's property. It was close to the the Metro stop, great restaurants, and people watching.
The apartment had everything we needed, and David was available with advice and recommendations. The kitchen was well appointed, although there were so many excellent food options (of course, this is Paris!) that we only cooked breakfast one morning during our 1 week stay. The upstairs apartment, which was part of our rental, was perfect for the teens. It gave them some privacy and independence, not to mention a great view!
We hope to return next year. Thank you Dayid for your hospitality!

David was a great host who meet us at the door and gave us good information of the area. The play was vice nice looked like the pictures. Check-in was easy. It was a very close walk to metro and there were so many good Cafés near by. I would definitely book with David again.

For those that want to "live like a local" - this is the place. The flat, in a beautiful historic building, is spacious and perfect for couples traveling together or families with older children who need some private spaces. The upstairs rooms are like a second apartment (with kitchenette and a view of the Eiffel Tower!) and that worked out really well for us. The flat is located in a central area close to some amazing restaurants, specialty markets, coffee shops, myriad shopping options and easy transportation (Metro, taxi, Uber) as well as a good launching point for simply walking to anywhere in the city which we did a lot of. It's quiet, safe and David is a really nice and attentive host (but only as needed). We really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave!

This flat was perfect for our family traveling with our adult children. It allowed for time together to eat and unwind after a day of sight seeing but provided some separate space in the upper bedrooms. Location is great to allow easy walk to major attractions and museums yet far enough from the crowds to be relaxing at the end of the day. David was a perfect host and helped us get oriented on our arrival fairly early on Christmas day

David. Was wonderful is a really nice guy. The place worked out great as we had 3 couples - both our sons and their partners stayed upstairs and had time away from us (parents), but we all were able to eat downstairs and have family time. Plus the upstairs had a great view of Paris at night out the bathroom window.
Would stay here again. Location was convenient with metro stop just a few hundred feet away, plus it was also within walking distance of many tourist sites.
Food and shopping nearby as well.
Always a pleasure to spend time in Paris!

We enjoyed our stay very much and our host was extremely nice. The apartment was exactly how you see online. I would just note that if you have small children you would not want them sleeping in the separate area upstairs. You need to go out a door to a common area, up a flight of stairs and down a hallway. It is basically a complelty separate apartment. My ten year old did not want to sleep up there even with his sisters who are 15 and 13. So he ended up in our bed the whole week! Great if traveling with another couple or teenage kids so they can have there own space. Great location!!!!

David met us at the door of this lovely two story flat. He was a gracious host from beginning to the end and helped us get acquainted with how everything worked in the building and our own apartment. We were close to several metro stops and the Monoprix was right across the street for convenience. The flats were spacious and comfortable and quiet, which is necessary when you need to unwind after being in the city streets and metro lines all day. The two flats are separated by a floor, which is great for individual privacy. And a little bonus is, you can see the top of the Eiffel Tower from the upstairs bathroom! Overall, beautiful place, spacious, great location and the host is kind and helpful.

David is a fantastic host, and the property is truly lovely. Location cannot be beat. We highly recommend this spot!

David’s spacious flat located in the Montorguiel area of the Marais is a delight. The flat is very spacious and well appointed. Our extended family of young and old were all well satisfied. We highly recommend this property and plan to return here in future. David is friendly and available to assist if needed. Paris is very walkable city and this flat is close to monuments, shopping and great restaurants.

We loved our stay in a Paris. David is the perfect host, so patient with us as we worked out the key system and helped with booking a cab for our departure. The main apartment is very good with all comforts - shower is in the bath, so step up and over - but the bath base is patterned so it isn’t slippery. The additional two bedroom upper apartment is adequate, with two nice bedrooms and a bathroom and semi kitchen - but it is through a door, up stairs, and along two short corridors - it is quite separate from the main apartment and looks a bit like it is in the process being refurbished. (That’s why 4 stars, otherwise 5). The washing machine and heated racks worked perfectly for our family. We were warm, comfortable and safe. Thank you David!

This was our family first trip to Paris and we didn't know what to expect. We arrived from Portland, OR, somewhat tired, bedraggled and jet lagged. David met us at the apartment with a warm, welcoming smile. He showed us the apartment and introduced us to the neighborhood. The apartment is located near a store, restaurants, bakery and the Metro. It is very French and looks just like the pictures on VRBO. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the elevator at the end of a long day.
During our vacation, we were able to get to all the sights and activities easily from the central location of the apartment. Many things were in walking distance and the Metro stops were close by for more distant sights. David was always accessible with suggestions. He was even kind enough to warn us of some possible interference with one day's plans.
I would recommend David and the apartment and would stay there again. Thank you, David, for making our spring time in Paris a vacation to remember.
4.9
Note that David has two apartments in this building, and that this review is for the one on the 5th/6th floors (6th/7th by North American counting). The reviews (at least the older ones) for the two apartments tend to get mixed up on the VRBO website.
As noted on some other recent reviews, the apartment is in fact two apartments--a 1-bedroom with a sofa-bed in the living room on the 5th floor, and a 2-bedroom on the 6th floor. The apartments are connected by the back stairway that connects the 6th floor to the other floors and the entrance foyer. Each apartment has a bathroom with a shower (and a tub on the 5th floor). The main kitchen and living room is in the 5th floor apartment, while the 6th floor one has a kitchenette.
For our group (three couples), this 2-floor arrangement was just fine--the upstairs worked well for sleeping/showering/etc., while our group time was spent in the 5th-floor living room. Plus, the view over the Paris rooftops from the top floor is really special. For some, though, the rather narrow/steep stairs between the floors (no elevator access to the 6th floor), and the semi-public nature of the passage between apartments might be a factor to consider, depending on the make-up of your group.
Most of the fixtures and fittings in the apartments are quite new, and in very good shape, plus everything was very clean when we arrived. All the beds were very comfortable, and all the necessary apartment basics were there. David was very helpful in getting us settled in, and pointing out the amenities of the neighbourhood. We had time to try two or three of his food reccomendations, and all were excellent.
As stated by others, the location is very, very good. The Rue Montorgueil area is brimming with restaurant options, and the shoppers in our group had lots of fun in the area north of the apartment. There are several very good museums (Arts et Metiers, Picasso, Pompidou, etc.) within 10-15 minutes walk. The Seine and the Louvre are only 15-20. And a stop on the 3 and 4 metro lines is 1 minute from the apartment's front door, to connect you to everywhere else.
For our next Paris trip, one of David's apartments (depending on the size of our group) will be at the top of our list for consideration.

To start David was their to greed us on arrival with big smile and showed us the apartment the whole family me and my wife my daughter and her husband age 30 and my son 23 years old, the location was perfect to all the traction within walking distance and the metro just few feet away also there is supermarket few feet away too ,David recommendation to Bakery's and Restaurants was out standing and he was helpful , the apartment was located on the 5th floor and very quiet clean and comfortable, and very well equipped with very much every thing we needed. this was our fifth visit to Paris we defiantly going us this apartment for our next trip.

Very nicely located in safe area opposite supermarket with surrounding restaurants & shopping areas! Metro access just up the road.
Would stay again! David the manager was so nice & courteous. Helped us 4 ladies bring our luggage upstairs and also recommended a very nice guy to taxi us to & from airport/train station on his maxitaxi. David was extremely considerate and responsive to our requests.
Perfect apartment on 4th floor for a couple or family of 4. The kids can sleep on comfy sofa bed in same apartment located in the lounge room/entrance. Note access to additional 2 rooms/ 1 bathroom directly upstairs is via mezzanine stairs totally separate from the main apartment. Perfect for a second couple or second family wanting privacy but wouldn’t send kids up there by themselves given dark corridor and that area being accessible to other inhabitants of the building next door.
Thank you for a very pleasant stay! We’ll be back!

This flat is located in a great area. It's east to get to from the RER and there is a metro stop a half a block away so it's easy to get to anywhere in Paris. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, along with plenty of cute streets for just wandering. The apartment is a nice size. There were initially going to be five (adults) of us and the three bedrooms and two baths would be perfect. We ended up with only three, so we had extra space. Two of the bedrooms and one bathroom were in a separate unit on the 6th floor, but that wasn't an issue for us. There is an elevator to the 5th floor which was convenient for my mother. The beds were super comfortable. David, our host was wonderful. Met us at the apartment and showed us how everything worked. Pointed out some areas/restaurants to go to which were great. We stayed a week and I wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again when we come with a group.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Arnaud and David were truly welcoming and friendly, and the apartment is a lovely refuge after a long day's walking, and we did plenty as we explored this wonderful neighbourhood. There was plenty of room for our family of four, and we enjoyed the luxury of having two bathrooms. Having a lift was definitely a plus for the luggage, being so high was a plus for the privacy. Families with younger children should note that the extra bedrooms are quite separate, not just upstairs but effectively in another apartment.

Excellent experience at this property. All communication was prompt and thorough before arrival. The owner, David, met us and gave us a full tour of the apartment and building. Wonderful bakery/cafe around the corner. Supermarket directly across the street. The metro station is only half a block. Simply a lovely experience start to finish, especially for a first trip to Paris. Thank you, David.

I visited Paris in May with my daughter and friend. We booked this apartment as it seemed perfect for what we needed and was also in a great location. The process of making the booking was seamless and David told us everything we needed to know before we arrived. We were not disappointed! David greeted us on arrival and showed us around. He took our bags to our apartment and made sure we were settled in which was lovely and very much appreciated. The apartment was fantastic with everything that you could possibly need. Such a great location too with the metro and supermarket right outside the door making it very easy to relax and enjoy Paris! During our stay we contacted David a few times with minor questions and he was available within minutes and always with a smile.
Thank you David for looking after us and for making our stay so enjoyable. It was lovely to meet you! We are certainly glad that we found you and would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend you to anyone coming to Paris. From Kester, Abi and Sataya
