Great home near beautiful beach on Kiawah Island!

Lovely villa close to the beach and tucked away -- true Kiawah experience. Needs some updating but very comfortable and priced accordingly. It was a much-needed peaceful getaway. I would stay there again.

Clean and comfy

Lovely home, everything was easy and comfortable. Only complaint was the code Vacasa sent didn’t open the door but that happens with every Vacasa property. Loved our stay, thank you so much!

The house was very clean, well stocked and close to the beach and the Nature Center

Home was cozy in a quiet culdsac. Only issues was poor help from local Vacasa team. Call in need maintenance request but had to keep texting and it took 2 days to get response. Over all the home great and would return again.

This house was clean and well-furnished with what we needed. The only issue we had, which others have had, was getting inside due to the pass code not working. Be prepared to call the number given up on arrival and plan to get in the house using a key thereafter instead of the convenient, but not functioning "key" on the door.
3.0 / 5.0
They apparently forgot to change the door code to the code they sent me so it was a bit frustrating to have to stand outside for 15 minutes while you call and have them remedy it when you have an 8 month old fussy after a 10 hour drive and everyone needing to use the restroom. There was someone’s makeup left there that wasn’t picked up but everything was pretty clean overall. We do wish they would have left us more trash bags but we managed.
Also, the sliding glass door wouldn’t slide and I had to get my husband to open it for me every time until we finally got it back on its track.
The other issue is that there are so many rules you have to follow that you find out about after booking. We travel frequently and this was probably the most stressful place we’ve booked just worrying about accidentally forgetting a rule. Throughout they texted rules which were conflicting with the listing. Oh and be prepared to be redirected to Vacasa’s website after booking because you can’t handle everything here on VRBO.
Oh, and you can’t doordash food.
For the positives(the saving grace), it has a cute sitting room where you can sit and watch the squirrels play in the trees, the neighborhood is quiet, and it’s about a 3 minute walk to the beach. It says the closest boardwalk is 15 but it’s actually 14. Overall, we had fun and there was enough room for all of us to where we weren’t bothering each other. I’d stay again for the closeness.

Our family spent three nights at this vacation home on Kiawah Island. The house was as advertised and shown on the website. Beds and furniture were comfortable, house was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pans, utensils, etc as well as basic spices, salt, and sugar. Washer and dryer were convenient as well. The only negative experience was upon arrival, we tried to use the key punch code to enter the house and it didn't work. We were able to contact the help support line with Vacasa and they told us to look for key lock box which we finally located. We received a different code and used the key to get into the house. Also, the TV did not work- it kept going to standby mode. We tried to contact the local property manager by leaving text messages. The next day we called the manager and the number wouldn't ring through. We then called Vacasa directly and they told us they would contact the local manager. No one ever got back to us about that. It wasn't a big problem as we really didn't need to use the TV but we would have appreciated hearing from someone while we were there. The property is located in a quiet street and the area is beautiful. The ocean/ beach is a short walk and the area was great for biking ( rentals are easy to organize and bikes were dropped at our rental home). Overall we loved our stay and if we returned I'd be happy to rent the same property.

Liked: great location, close to beach, nice neighborhood, very clean inside, nice linens, well equipped. Disappointments: unable to access property (keypad nonfunctional and kindly neighbor was able to help us get physical key from owner), TV has error code indicating failed circuit board, so also completly nonfunctional, got zero help from Vacasa management who simply sent sympathetic texts.

Well stocked kitchen & Comfortable beds.

Very clean! Great location. Just one challenge. I've used all types of streaming TV from Hulu to Direct TV stream. That TV with Sling is the worst user friendly streaming device I've ever used.

Had everything we needed - except a better reading light.

This cottage is ideal for beach lovers. The ocean is a 2-minute walk away and there is a shower to get rid of sand on the access walkway. The house has updated appliances in the kitchen and comfortable space for our family (3 adults). It was very clean and nicely stocked with everything we needed (and some things we were nicely surprised by). A great place that I'd like to rent again.

We really enjoyed our week at Kiawah in June! The kitchen is nicely updated and had everything we needed (and more). The beds were comfortable and the pullout couch was great for a third adult. Everything was clean when we arrived and there were extra towels provided for our party of five. We really enjoyed the sunroom and having breakfast on the deck. The location is great in a quiet cul-de-sac with a quick 5-minute walk to the beach! We'll definitely be back!

Firm and comfy beds, great A/C, new appliances, well appointed kitchen, quiet, excellent water pressure and close to the beach.
