About this house rental
The home features three bedrooms on the main level along with two baths. The kitchen is all new and nicely appointed with granite counters, hickory cabinets, new appliances, and is well stocked with everything needed, opening to the dining and living room areas. The living room has a comfy couch along with a new 65" flat-screen TV if you want to relax with a bit of Netflix after a long day of skiing at Lookout or Silver (10 miles in either direction). The dining area features a large table with a bench on one side and four chairs around the other sides. Sliding barn doors add a pop of color in three of the rooms.
There is a large bonus room/loft/office upstairs with a twin daybed and a variety of fun/eclectic furnishings. There is also a full and usable basement below the main level with workout equipment and new 65" flat-screen TV to distract you while on the StairMaster as well as a small couch, bistro table, and dart board.
All furnishings throughout are "new" with an eclectic farmhouse chic style -- most items are new from the factory with a number of repurposed accents from a variety of Coeur d'Alene "junk" stores spread about such as a potter's bench hutch, a custom-built standing desk using found pallets, and other knick-knacks.
The master bedroom is comfy and spacious with a king-sized sleigh bed and a new 55" flat-screen TV. The second and third bedrooms are somewhat smaller but comfy with queen and double beds respectively.
The internet is the "good" internet in Wallace with solid download speeds of 30 Mbps and a Wi-Fi router that reaches all corners of the home. The three new flat-screen Roku TV's are all set up with several of the popular streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and Peacock) for your viewing pleasure. A new 22 KW standby generator was installed this year to keep your stay warm and pleasant should there be a power outage in town.
There is parking for one car in the driveway and there is also usually room for parking two or three cars on the street (subject to the vagaries of the snow plows in the winter) . The home has an attached two-car garage but that is reserved for an owner car plus various tools and equipment. A Tesla charger is onsite in the garage with the charging cable routed to the outside of the garage for use at the driveway.
It is a century old home and there are a few quirks in particular that merit a mention -- the stairways from the main level to the loft and basement are tiny and the floors in a few areas (particularly the bonus room/loft) have a bit of a slope to them. On the whole it has been very nicely renovated/refurbished and we believe it is one of the better options you will find in Wallace.

6 of us stayed in the house (4 adults, 1 child & 1 teen). It was perfect! The house was clean, styled amazingly and overall comfortable. We also hosted a family dinner for 15 of us while there and there was plenty of space for everyone to comfortably eat and find a place to relax. The grill was very useful that night! We truly could not have asked for a better place to stay and Eric (the host) was very thoughtful and easy to reach! I would definitely stay here again!

Perfection. What an amazing home. The owners didn’t overlook anything. So much forethought. The furnishings are amazing. The beds, the linen, and even the towels were all top shelf. The deck and patio were so peaceful. Also, the bonus basement room was a hit. That the home is only a couple of blocks from town in so convenient. 5 Stars all the way around and I can’t imagine there is a nicer rental in the Silver Valley. Speaking of the location we had tons of fun. We biked the Hiawatha Trail, hiked the Pulaski Trail and one night my son and I rented the Arid Peak Fire Lookout. The 3-mile hike in and out from the lookout was fast and easy. However, there are a lot of bears in the area. We carried bear spray (I left it at the house for others & TSA might take issue at the airport). In closing, the owner of the home, Eric, was very communicative. Seems like a super guy. - Chris P

My wife and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Old Mission State Park. The cottage we stayed at was our home base for both of our families. The house had everything we needed. We comfortably slept 7 people inside. Kitchen was superb. Living room and dining area were very nice.

Perfect home for a quick family/friend biking trip to wallace. Easy access to the hiawatha, added in the Pulaski hike just down the road.
Clean, VERY well stocked house allowed us to cook all meals ourselves.
Check in and out was a breeze. Hope to make it back soon

Very nice home, well stocked with anything you might need. The remodel was done very nicely while keeping the charm of a vintage home. Great parking and access to town.

This might be the best vrbo house I've ever rented—it was extremely clean and nicely renovated and decorated. The three bedrooms were very comfortable, and the little loft area was a very cute place for the three kids in our group to hide out; they really loved the little window nook (as well as the lollipop tree!). I appreciated the USB charger stations in the master bedroom so I didn't have to fumble around to plug in my phone at night (a small detail, but thoughtful).
The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of quality pans, cutting boards, knives, ziplocs, glasses, mugs, etc. Sometimes rental kitchens can feel like a hodgepodge of random, crummy items, but this was all very nice. It felt like visiting a house that a friend lives in, rather than a rental.
We all appreciated the variety of games and two great big TVs with all kinds of streaming services. It was really convenient!
Check-in was as easy as can be—the PDF had all the information that we needed and more—and the owner and caretaker answered questions right away. I hope we will rent it again soon so that we can experience more of Wallace!
