We were so glad we decided to stay two nights at the Hāna-Maui instead of returning to West Maui after the road to Hāna. The property was beautiful and peaceful, and well situated to enjoy the nature of East Maui. The oceanfront bungalows were wonderful, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. My only nit is that it seemed a little short staffed for a resort of this caliber.

Amazing break from everyday life in absolute comfort. We got upgrade to an ocean from room for free. Loved to have the gym and free yoga.:) the main pool was drained & refilled the 2 days we were there, so that was a bummer, but still had the other pool to use. Would love to stay here again.

Such a bummer! Hana hotel filled their best feature- a beautiful spa above the rolling hills/ocean and filled it with concrete, boo Hyatt. Then, when I was told to book the spa and pay $45 for the spa experience except oops, our spa is broken. Really ruined our trip there and why I am writing this review. Honestly, if hotels are hotels what are you paying for? I will always love Hana tho m. Hope Hyatt improves

The oceanfront bungalow was fabulous! We really enjoyed the views from the lanai. The manicured grounds were amazing with plumaria trees and mountain views too. We had breakfast in the restaurant and thought the food was great and the waterview was very nice. I will be coming back.

Gorgeous property. The staff was equally amazing especially Selma & Kepa. Everything about our stay was amazing. We only stayed 1 night which was too short. Longer next time it is expensive but worth the splurge.

The 4 stars was because the rooms needs little bit of upgrade. Everything else was excellent. Highly recommended if you are making your drive to Hana .

Nice property and great location but it’s not worth the price. Lots of ants were in the room. Restaurants were just ok. Better to stay elsewhere and leave early for the drive to Hana so that you can drive back to your hotel.

Beautiful hotel with idyllic setting in Hana Maui. Large rooms which now have Air conditioning!!! and amazing views. Unfortunately they removed the Jacuzzi that was at the end of their beautiful pool. We feel that this was a big mistake and always looked forward to spending time in the Jacuzzi watching the ocean and unwinding from our day in Hana or our drive out from Central Maui. One of the true highlights of our multiple stays there in the past. There are rumors that they are going to be putting it back in which I hope is true. They cannot consider themselves a resort or spa destination without it! Food and setting for breakfast at the hotel restaurant was excellent. Unfortunately, they have also now closed the restaurant for dinner and the only option is to go across the street to Hana Ranch restaurant. Food is good but hopefully the resort can figure out a way of opening the restaurant or bar area for evening snacks or food and drink to elevate it back to the level this property so deserves.

Loved the location, but property is a bit dated. Also, I had an activity booked and no hotel staff showed up to lead it. When I called the front desk, they said they'd ask their activity lead if anyone was coming and text me back. 30 min later I got a text that so activities that day were cancelled. That's a big reason why the resort was so appealing and they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me when I checked in and told them how excited I was for the activities (hula dancing, lei making, yoga).

There is one atm available. If you have no cash there are limited options for food or basic needs. Everything is super expensive so if you did have cash it runs out quit. Overall the island is beautiful but stuck in the 50s and the locals do not like tourists. For the future I’ll skip it and go to friendlier places.

Loved the bungalow but every time you pay with points you become less priority. I paid for ocean view and ment a lot to me and I’m pretty sure it was a partial view of the beach. I had 75% of my view was the next bungalow. When you pay with points, you become less of a important customer.

Was surprised by the fact there was no air conditioning. Wasn’t a big deal since it wasn’t too cold (visit was in Feb) but it should be clear because this could be an issue in the summer. We still had to sleep with the fans right on us. Loved that there were no televisions, but again wasn’t aware of that either. And after a long hike, it would be nice if there was a hot tub. That was also surprising. The property was beautiful and peaceful. Just missing a little something.

Stayed in the bungalows. It was absolutely the best room. They have air conditioning in the room. We just listen to the waves at night. Very peaceful and relaxing. We stayed 5 nights and explore everyday.

The property is older and in need of some work. No ice machine on the property. You need staff to bring it. Peeling paint on the patio. No electrical outlets near table to plug in computer. For the price they are charging it should have been a five star hotel. Property is large and they send a golf cart to get you. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Great property and great stay at the Hana Maui resort! We only stayed one day but we were in awe of the amazing location of the property. Price was a little high but the amenities you get are pretty good. Wish our stay was longer! Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Hana-Maui Resort so we could visit the attractions along the Road to Hana over two days. I wish we had been able to stay longer, as the hotel was fabulous. Our room with two queen beds was spacious and very clean, There was also a kitchenette and outdoor furniture as well. The bathroom was large, with both a soaking tub and a shower. The check-in process was easy and the golf cart that took us to our room was driven by a friendly and helpful young man. He also drove us to dinner later that evening and the food was wonderful.

Overall a “just fine” stay — Hana is very quiet, limited dining options (even food trucks were wonky hours) and hotel rooms were aging (and no A/C). Still a beautiful and peaceful place to be.
