Amazing Galveston Island get-a-way with Babe's Beach and its beach view across the street! Our home is located close to all attractions at the Seawall. We recommend our home for couple's getaway (King beds), girls gab party to catch up on the years gone by, generational family getaway with Mom and Dad to remember the best of growing up! And more important than all that is making memories with your loved ones!
Watch the ocean waves crashing on the beachy sand, listen to the sounds of the seagulls, all while sitting at the balcony drinking your margarita with a cool breeze on your face and hair flying with the wind! The beach and island experience will be found at this condo! Don't just take my word for it, read our many guest reviews!
The amenities and decor are phenomenal! The 2 large bedrooms each with King beds and 1 twin mattress in the closet that can be moved around. Bedrooms located on opposite ends of the condo for maximum privacy. The 2 full bathrooms are perfect for a family of 5 + the toddler bed! Although, we do have a queen size sofa in the living space that could be used for sleeping. The master bathroom has granite counter tops with his and hers sinks and a spacious, modern glass enclosed shower! When your surroundings are beautiful and you're sleeping in a high end posterpedic mattress you will wake up refreshed, energized and ready to enjoy your island stay!
For your convenience, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Water Park and the Galveston Convention Center are only a mile away! Close enough to come back, take a rest and then rush back for more excitement and fun! Our condo is in a gated community surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, 2 resort style pools, heated spa tub in one of the swimming pools and the second and closest pool is heated during the cooler months. A full gym with elliptical equipment and free weights can be accessed 24/7.
You can workout at the fitness center and to finish your workout by diving into one of the two swimming pools. Relax at the swimming pool with a great book and begin your gorgeous suntan. The large Smart ROKU TV will be a welcome delight in the evening as you relax and laugh over the day's events with your loved ones! Or just sit at the balcony, feel the breeze and watch the ocean waves at the beach and listen to the seagulls!
A smaller flat screen TV is located in the second bedroom if you prefer to watch your favorite cooking or sports channel while reclining and relaxing on the bed! You will absolutely feel like you are in a tropical paradise, and you don't have to travel to the Caribbean!
This beach condo has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops throughout the condo, full size washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen with everything furnished to make your perfect meal! Just bring the food!
One mile to Moody Gardens, and Schlitterbaun Water Park. The Strand Historic District for shopping and enjoyment is only 4 miles away. Pleasure Pier only 3 miles. I recommend using the Galveston rubber Trolley that stops outside our complex to travel to many of the destinations found along the Seawall. Cost is minimal!
This condo is SPACIOUS with a fantastic view of the ocean; located right by the seawall, which is a great place to ride your bicycle, run your morning jog or walk the beach looking for seashells! You will NOT forget your Galveston Island vacation experiences at our beach condo!

We had a wonderful time, the condo was clean and just beautiful inside, had everything you needed. The decor is just perfect, master bath is huge, and the view of the ocean made it perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo, only steps from the beach, a safe crossover less than a block away. Available rental chairs and umbrellas saved us carrying anything but our snacks, towels and reading materials.
The condo itself was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen had all we needed for making coffee and toast. We ate out each evening but it appeared to have all one would need to prepare simple meals.
Our only concern were the stairs as our party consisted of people ages 68 to 70. However the little workout after meals wasn't as bad as we expected, allowing us to justify our stops at the custard shop a few miles away.
All in all, location location location is this condos greatest selling point. The fact that it is nice and clean and comfortable makes it all the better.

Condo was exceptionally nice and decor was beautiful. We were able to walk to Walmart to get necessities. View of the gulf was great. Enjoyed the balcony until the weekend, then the traffic noise was too loud. Parking lot was tight for larger vehicles. Although it is out of the owners control, the office staff were not pleasant when we were paying for parking.

Doc quarters are just as advertised, beaitiful place perfect location. Right on the trolly line, across from the beach , they do have beach chairs, and a cooler to take with you.

Came for a wedding but had extra days for the beach. Loved the location. Very easy beach access and the pools were great. Great food options as welll. We even did Uber Eats to the beach!

Absolutely loved this place and it was everything that was promised. The 3rd floor walk-up was tough after the Ironman, but we knew that going in and no floor above hard walkers to deal with. Clean, quiet, close to everything we wanted to do. Kind of central to two piers so we would walk to one or the other each morning. Not quite on-season so traffic and parking was easy. Even if peak time, the light right next to condo makes access to Seawall road easy. Walked to Walmart one day and Kroger was just a bit farther down - short drive. The Kroger was better for wine and higher end prepared foods if interested. Condo pools were relaxing and hot tub was perfect temp. Spent every day on deck for breakfast, every evening ended with wine reading our books. Staff was friendly and engaging when we saw them. Weight room met our needs since we typically use dumbells and bench - which it had. When reaching out to owners, they were very responsive and typically got back to me within minutes. Never contacted for issues, just questions, coordinating on new codes for month, checking in and out. No complaints at all and I would book it again without hesitation.

What a great stay!
This unit is in a great location, right across Seawall Blvd from the Gulf of Mexico. Watching the waves while having coffee on the deck was fabulous! The road does get pretty busy at times with some loud vehicles, but the noise didn't filter into the unit at all. There is a trolley stop right outside the complex, and for $1 we were able to get down to the Pier and even to the cruise terminal downtown.
We stayed in this unit for three nights, and found it to be perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. Be warned that there are a couple of big staircases to get up to the third floor, but that was probably our biggest 'problem', if you could call it that.
If you're heading to Galveston, we highly recommend this condo!

The condo was perfect for our family! We loved sitting with the door open and listen to the ocean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals while we were there. The location is excellent as the beach had very few people on it, a bit further down was more crowded. There were times when we were the only ones on the beach. The only mildly disappointing thing (which is not the condo owners fault at all) was that my kids were looking forward to the heated pool but it wasn't heated at all. The pool areas were gorgeous! We would stay here again in a heart beat!!

The Condo is very nice with really comfortable beds. Everything we needed for the family was provided and checking in with the condo association went smooth. The pools are nice and close by, we used them every day we were there. I would stay here again for sure.

Our stay was wonderful in this beautiful beachfront condo. Yolanda was very helpful with leaving all instructions needed for our stay, and very pleasant to work with. One thing I loved about the condo was the beautiful view of the beach right outside on the condo deck. Also, lots to do in the Galveston area close by as well! Would recommend this condo as a must stay for sure!

This condo was absolutely adorable and just perfect for our family trip. The view from the patio was just like in the picture. They made instructions for check-in/out very clear. They also labeled little reminders around the condo that made things super easy for us to remember. The pools/shower area was welcomed after the days in the sand at the beach.

This was our second time staying at "The Dawn" condos. We love the location and the views from the Gulf front units are outstanding! The property was neat and clean and as described in the listing and we appreciated the in-depth information that Yolanda was able to provide about our stay and Doc's Quarters unit. Our only complaint is that both pools, while very nice and large, were cloudy and very dirty during our stay. Typically they close the pools on Monday for cleaning, but we arrived Tuesday afternoon and the pools were noticeably cloudy. The kids still loved them!
