A very nice, clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay. Breakfast was satisfying.
5.0
We just stayed here for one night after an international flight and before grabbing our domestic flight home. We are a family of 6 and their family room worked amazing. It was two rooms and 4 beds. It was great! The breakfast was good too. It would be nice if they had an airport shuttle!
4.0
We stayed the night so we could be close to airport for early morning flight. It was nice and convenient. Mattresses were to soft same with pillows so we didnt get too much sleep kids were fine. Front desks was nice and gave us continental breakfast items to take with us because we would be gone before it opened.

There’s only one ice machine and that’s near the office. There’s only one microwave and that’s near the office. Other than that, the place was nice and the breakfast was decent.

Hotel need to be more clean the lock from the bathroom doesn’t not work customer service need to be more nice to people

First night was a nightmare. We were in room 146 and the bed was literally one of those very cheap spring beds that hurt your entire body. Even the edges were hard as heck. The pillows SUCK! They are the smallest thinnest things ever. The people above us were so loud they kept us up late and woke us up early, the bathroom was also pretty outdated. The front desk was so very helpful with changing us rooms however there wasn’t a lot of options so we were moved to the 700 building. The room itself was so much better however it was right next to the tram and that thing runs ALLLLLLLL NIGHT. Although these are non smoking rooms the person 2 doors down was continuously smoking outside of his door and disposing of his cigarettes on the floor. So that stunk. The breakfast was just bacon, sausage, potatoes, bread and scrambled eggs. Definitely not something to eat daily if you’re on a couple day trip. I wish they had some cereal atleast. I would likely not stay here again.

Room dirty. Not updated like a normal Best Western. No parking without fees

The place itself was cool. The airplanes are louder than I expected. It is close
To the airport. The water pressure is just okay. The temp control in the shower is horrible. It went from one extreme to the next my whole shower. The cleaning crew needs to be slapped. There was piss all over the tile floor around the toilet. On tile like that when it stands out like that. Get a Clorox wipe or something. That was pretty disgusting. Totally unsatisfactory!!!! By the way. When homeless people go through your outside trash at night. Have stuff around to clean it up. Trash can near the ice machine by the lobby was emptied all over the ground Saturday morning.

We've have stayed here many times before flying out of SFO. We will stay here in the future.

Love staying here, feel safe and can park the car right outside the room. Very convenient for us older adults. The rooms are old but very clean and the beds are comfortable. No complaints.

Excellent, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, parking em front of the room.
Area full of food options and safe for going out even at night. 10 minutes walking to the Bart(metro) station that takes you to the center attractions of San Francisco.

Room smelled like marijauna and was very outdated. Bed was comfortable. It was ok for the price. I don’t understand why they charge for parking. They have plenty, just another way to make a buck.

They charged $15 for parking, even for a one night stay. It's listed as "TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX" but the clerk said it was a Parking Fee. I was told that it was in the Expedia information. I looked and never found anything that said there was a fee for parking. Otherwise the place was fine and had a good breakfast.

Lovely quiet hotel. Beautiful room. Awesome breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was good

Super comfortable pillows and bed. Quiet with lots of parking. Good hot breakfast but they don’t vary the food options so it would be boring after a couple days.

The grounds were extremely nice. I was there for a week of rehab after a medical procedure and neede access to the the hospital each day. Perfect location. Great breakfast and the grounds provided nice reading spots. Has a pool, but i couldn't use it, so dont know if its heated or not..
Ver quite for being on a main drag. .

I've been traveling and staying in hotels for 2 years between AZ & CA.
I have never come across a hotel that charges 15.00 for the parking.

The rate was very competitve so I didn't expect much from this hotel as I just needed a place to stay a night. However, it totally exceeded my expectation. The room was really clean, a bed was comfortable and it offered vast parking spaces. Most of all, hotel breakfast was outstanding. It had great egg-vegetable omelettes, coffee and great quality bacons/sausages. It is not a 5 star hotel but for the money, I highly recommend.

Nice retro hotel with modern comfort. This was good experience from check in to check out. Room was safe and comfortable, staff was nice, breakfast had a good selection, and I loved feeling like I had stepped back to the 1950s motor inn era.

This property is way more run down than photos. I’m a single woman and they put me in a room at the back of the property with men all around partying, loud, and drinking beer. I did not feel safe. Went to customer service and was told the only room I could switch to was again at the back of the hotel, smaller, with less beds, and less amenities. The room also smelled like urine. Not a good experience and I won’t stay here again.

Our room was non smoking room and it smelt like an ashtray. I literally had to use the blankets in front of my nose to get rid of the 2nd hand smoke smell. I would have complained but we were there only from 10pm to 5:00 am we had an early morning flight. I was too tired to complain.

Property was great!!! Breakfast was delicious each day that I was there. The customer service was great!! Definitely will stay here again

We have stayed at the El Rancho a number of times over the years. Unfortunately it has become a tired and run down property. This is our last stay here. We will seek out another location close to the airport that is newer and has a better bed.

Cute and decent place to stay. Great location.

Love staying at this place. Location is great, an older hotel that has been upgraded but hasnt lost too much of its charm. Wish the Mexican decor extended to the rooms.
2.0
Extremely noisy. Very thin walls. I heard every door slam all night long. Heard conversations in other rooms. I am not a light sleeper, however I was woken up multiple times when a room door would close, or someone would watch tv. Street noise was not a factor, so I was surprised at how much noise from other rooms made the stay a failure.
Shower water pressure was awful. I shave my head, and the water pressure was so bad the shower took twice as long just to rinse off.
$15 dollars to park at a motel was a bit excessive.

Just what I needed. At a reasonable price. Very comfortable bed, clean.

This place looks tired for a Best Western. The carpet is ripped and tattered. It appeared most rooms were occupied so they should be able to afford a facelift.
Breakfast was very good and my room was very clean.
