It was horrible. Room smelled so bad. Fire alarm went off when I turned the heater on cause it was full of dust. The workers were rude. Wouldn’t give us more than two towels for our whole stay. 3 pillows for a king bed wouldn’t give us more pillows. Door knob for bathroom was broken. I’m very disappointed and would like a refund or have my next stay be comped. It was awful and it ruined my weekend.

Room need to be cleaned properly it’s smell like cigarettes & alcohol very bad

Black mold all around the bath tub. Bedding was stained and had what looked like cigarette burn holes all over it. Light in the bathroom took 10 minutes to turn on. Phone would not hang up properly so had to unplug it for the dial tone to stop. Only one towel in the room and when asked for more were initially told there were no more towels. My husband complained and then the staff member finally got us 3 more towels.

Bed bugs didn’t even stay here, couldn’t get a refund either. Paid for the reservation got there, looked like a dump, left immediately after reading all the other reviews and seeing inside.

It was affordable, and that’s about it, the floor was tacky, as in sticky, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was hanging out of the ceiling. The remote didn’t work, the bed had clean sheets but were stained. I didn’t feel as comfortable as I could have been. It was a hotel for the homeless people . I chose because of the price, but will not skimp next time.

Do not stay here. This place is disgusting. We booked our stay and had to get a refund because it was so dirty. The sheets weren’t even clean. My shoes felt dirtier after stepping in the room than they did before. They didn’t even have basic toiletries like towels and hand soap provided. We ended up going across the street to the Wyndham. It was much better.

Around the outside of the property was decent but the bed had black stains all over the blanket and sheets suggesting that linen isn't being cleaned properly.

It was quite and a relaxing stay!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
No dead bolt; the wall trim literally ripped off the door. Apparently ZERO towels in the whole establishment. Mold all over the bathroom. Ridiculous.
Contacted the property manager, all I got was an “OK”.
I’ll NEVER stay at another Red Roof Inn. Everrrrrrrr.
Do better Michigan. Do. Better.

I was willing to overlook all the things that didn't work until management renigged on their pledge. Then all the workers did the same. One desk clerk had me call like 5 times that she would send a worker. Because the phone, the radio, the sink and the entrance light didn't work. She no follow up and just went. There's more
I will never visit this location again if God is willing.

The tub was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, my tv did not work and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. However the front office staff was very nice when I checked in and checked out. I give the room a 6 out of 10 stars.

Well I loved the openess and energy and responsicessness of Essie and Armani. They not only made my day with their eargness to help but I felt they really cared if I a great experience or not. And I did. Ultimate stars for this dynamic duo team.

Not enough pillows, only one washcloth, room was rundown, dirty and smelled like old cigarettes and mold. Ice machine was broken. WiFi lousy. Place has gone downhill. Will not stay there again.

They claim they had just been remodeled sad part is you couldn’t tell the beds were absolutely horrible. We were stuck sleeping on full mattresses that were so sunken you could feel the springs. I had to see a chiropractor when I got back because my back was so screwed up and so was my husband’s the only thing good about it is it was cheap don’t advertise remodeling has taken place if you haven’t touched anything and have horrible old beds.

I was satisfied with room. The manager Alphonso (Mike I heard him called also) made the stay a nightmare. I honestly and wholeheartedly wrote a review about my stay last week and he obviously did not like it and used his management power to take revenge. He mentioned the review to me. I planned to stay 5 additional and had approval for $325 from affirm but while I was out to breakfast my key was disabled before 9:30 am. When I went to front office I was told I had to move a room half the size” than i was occupying. Last week I experienced the same switch around. I was in a superior king and he stated I needed to move to a deluxe. This week I needed to move to a standard and “what was I expecting the Hyatt regency”? Was his quote. Very insulting and humiliating he was. No way would i recommend family, friends, nor enemies to go Red Roof Inn Troy or Madison Heights as he manages both.

I was in a bit of pickle with my circumstances and needed a place to lay my head without breaking the bank and was pleasantly surprised with the accomodations! This Red Roof Inn was renovated 8 months ago so everything was up to par. I was impressed with the friendliness of the Staff, assisting me with any needs. For what I paid, it was worth the stay!

Upon our arrival, we noticed a huge stain on the comforter and pulled back the sheets to find a cigarette burn through the fitted sheet. The customer service I received at the front desk was good and we were even upgraded to the superior room from a deluxe because none were available. We simply needed a place to stay, instead of traveling back to mid-Michigan after a show in Royal Oak. The door didn’t appear to be sealed very well because there was a quarter inch gap that I could see outside and it leaked cold air.

Old, worn room conditions made it feel dirty...but I think it was clean. I'm not a coffee drinker so was looking forward to a morning tea, but the hot water dispenser in the lobby was broken. How hard would it have been to have an electric kettle available?

Checked in and once we got into our original room, it was absolutely disgusting. Cigarette burns on the blankets, brown stains on the wall, and the sheets weren’t even clean. The manager was cool about it and gave us an upgrade to a deluxe king bed. When we got in that room, the blanket was not clean, some of the towels had disgusting stains on them, and it had a strange odor. Not to mention, there was a family of crackheads outside that kept running around the building. I couldn’t ask for a refund because we wouldn’t have any other place to go and this was within our budget. I had to stick it out for the weekend and quietly suffer. I wouldn’t recommend this place in all honesty.

Place is not what was expected. Stains on the blankets, mirrors are missing.

When I checked in, there was a slight issue. I was flustered, but Derrick, the employee on the front desk at the time, was patient, and kind in assisting me through it. He went above and beyond in his work to help me and I appreciate that
P.S.: Kudos to Mesa (I Believe that is her name) the head cleaning lady, who got me fresh bedding out of the dryer!
