Belen at the front desk is a darling! Love the option for food and drinks on the premises. Our room was on a very quiet hallway - i think they are renovating some rooms in this hallway but didn’t actually hear any construction noise. Love the pool and bar service. Hotel arts has become one of our favourites to stay.

This is a gorgeous hotel with wonderfully attentive and helpful staff! Parking is included, which seems to never happen any longer. Great restaurant and so many places to sit, relax and get a drink or munchies. Wonderful location to access all sorts of restaurants, shops and other sightseeing destinations. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others! It even has little balconies in each of the rooms.

As usual, a great stay at Hotel Arts. Conveniently located downtown and a 10-min walk to StephenAve, the restaurants, the Telus Convention Center and the tower.
The pool is not really meant for swimming so don't pick the hotel for this reason (or to bring kids). It's however a great place to hang out with the fireplaces and the beautiful design.
Beds are very comfortable and rooms are clean.
The only annoying thing is that they charge $3 per water bottle in the room. I come here 3x per year and average price is often around $300. To charge $3 for water bottle feels cheap when the bottle is likely $0.50 and everything else in the hotel is a high-end experience. Add $5 to your room prices and make the bottles free. It's quite an annoyance for business people on the go.

Awesome stay at Hotel Arts. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional right from arrival and the valet for my car to the efficient check in process. The room was spacious and so comfortable. I appreciated the check backs from the front desk to ensure everything was in order.

I haven’t stayed at Hotel Arts for a few years and was surprised to see how worn out the building and rooms have become. The door to our room was covered in scuffs, mold on the soap dispensers in the shower, garbage in the hall. The room was comfortable for a one night stay but it did not feel very clean.
That being said the location was good for some great restaurants and shopping and the hotel staff were friendly and quick to help. I will be skipping Hotel Arts during my next Calgary trip as it is a 2 star experience with a 4 star budget.

We had such a good time here, and every staff member we talked to was polite and helpful.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The massages were very nice, the pool area was neat, and i loved the gas fire places out there and the food was so good!

This was not what we expected for $325/night. It's like they took a bigger hotel room and cut it in half and encased a bathroom in glass with zero sound proofing. The sink is in the main room outside of the washroom, which is also awkward. For $325 I shouldn't have to listen to my partner go to the washroom.
The ceiling and walls also had a frustrating amount of noise. Seemed like building operating noises but too loud to ignore and fall asleep.
Hotel Arts needs to work on their atmosphere and think about perception of value.

Left the hotel after my first night. Extremely loud HVAC unit. It felt like I was sleeping next to a gas lawnmower. Told the front desk at 8:30 am and at 11:00pm that night I decided to book another hotel so I could get a good night sleep while staying for Business in Calgary. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL!!!!!

Clean rooms, welcoming staff, daily room service, good location, walking distance to downtown strip with bars and restaurants. Yellow door restaurant offers delicious menu (oyster mushroom flatbread was my favourite). I have great stay and I will consider the hotel for future vista. I would warmly recommend.

Charging full price on days when the pool is closing is ridiculous. And closing the pool at 2pm on a gorgeous Sunday doesn’t make sense. Change it to Monday change over. Sunday is still part of the weekend.
I’ll be going to carriage house next time.

The staff and hotel room were excellent, with great customer service. Our only complaint is the room was kept a bit too chilly for our family.

I've stayed here previously in 2016 so I was excited to go back. Sadly, I was beyond appalled by the lack of customer service which from check in to check out, it was a hopeless experience.
Check in was stressful and the employee was rude. Further, when I pointed out the room I had paid for was not provided (given queen when I reserved a king) the staff member mumbled something about a "glitch" and made no attempt to fix the hotels error. Even when requesting a hard copy of my bill after my stay had ended and trying to work with staff member. He was rude, condescending and when found to be in the wrong only made poor excuses instead of apologizing. Plus on top of it all, the rooms fan sounded like a jet engine so it was near impossible to sleep.
Safe to say I nor my organization will ever be back.

We loved the hotel and our stay. Lower reviews for the pool area. We knew you had to prebook a spot but what wasn’t super clear is that you would be hounded every 5 minutes to order food and a drink. The pool area is part of a restaurant, not the hotel so if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the sun, expect to spend a lot. We had reserved a spot two days in a row and both days asked if we could be moved to a shadier spot and were told no because the other spots were reserved. Which is frustrating because we weren’t asked where we wanted to sit when we made our reservations. We then used our 3 hour time slot with no one showing up to the other spots. Half of the drinks couldn’t be served at the bar either due to a variety of reasons. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the pool so we were disappointed.

The hotel was nice, but Yellow Door restaurant experience was poor, causing us to decide to find an alternative option.

Otherwise I would stay here again just won’t eat here

The property itself was pretty nice but we were met with drug users when entering the building both inside and out asking for money. The front desk staff was not helpful to help us with in room problems. Bath tub had a big chip missing out of the bottom along with multiple cracks in the bottom. The pictures and description was immaculate then the actual floor lace was just average for us.

The amenities are great. We enjoyed an afternoon at the pool. The location is very walkable to a bunch of bars and restaurants.

This is a great boutique hotel. Book directly with the hotel, as you get a better room for the same price. The free parking, free bikes for use (with helmets), and excellent staff give the place a fun vibe. The pool with happy hour and appetizers is also a destination (not a lap pool though). The rooms are up to date, clean and with fridges, all within metres of some of the city's best restos and shopping. Great views of the Calgary tower in some rooms, plus windows that open!

Probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel, parking was free as was breakfast, excellent location and walkable to great restaurants and bars, best price in the city. The bathroom soaps etc were addictive!

Great location in downtown area with plenty of dining nearby. Hotel has a nice chilled vibe. Pool area relaxing after a full day sightseeing. Great cocktails and wine during happy hour. Good double glazing so street noise minimal.

The evening front desk lady, I forgot her name, Selim I think, was amazing!!! She started the theme of the whole stay, which made.me decide that I will only stay at Hotel Arts everytime I am in Calgary. They are very accommodating to my kids as well. I highly highly recommend this place!!!!

The hotel was excellent. We were very disappointed to learn the Yellow Door restaurant was closed Tuesday as we planned to eat there. No notice on website or signage to indicate that. Everything else was great , room, staff, location , cleanliness, parking exceed expectation

Excellent customer service from every employee we encountered. Our AC was not working properly and couldn’t cool the room down past 75, despite asking for someone to come fix it twice. I know someone probably came to take a look, but the issue wasn’t resolved.
Overall, a good place to stay for a couple of nights.
