The hotel is decent but the elevator was out of order so you had to lug your luggage up stairs and landscapers were blowing leaves and mowing at 8:30 am on a Saturday. Maybe do it on a weekday when people have to get up.

The beds and shower were just perfect. The location isnt great, we didnt expect it to be in poor area. The smelling of pot was strong and it was everywhere in the hallway. 2nd night, the hallway and our room had sewer smell. It was awful! We were disappointed the pool was closed for the season then we found out the hot tub was broken.

Just a stop over for me & a friend. Rooms are dated but it was cheap & clean. Shower was good & bed was very comfortable. Didn't have breakfast as we left at 5.30am.

The mattress was either from the last century or a morbidly obese person sat on its edge for days on end. My back has never felt worse upon waking from the crevice left by past guests. The bathroom has zero ventilation causing moisture to condense on all surfaces, and a toilet that leaked into the corner. The halls smelled like weed.

I enjoyed my stay at the back of the hotel. Very quiet at the end of corridor. I actually slept much better at this hotel than I did at the Sheraton in Rocky Hill, CT for two nights. My issue with this hotel was that the water temperature in the shower was very traumatic. It fluctuated constantly from near freezing to boiling hot every two seconds. It was very difficult to take a shower under those conditions. I was too tired after moving to make a complaint and just wanted sleep, to work the next morning. I got the best sleep ever in that room though.

Staying here without reading other reviews was a MISTAKE. The bathroom floor felt oily underfoot and there was hair in all the corners and stuck on the wall. The carpet in the room seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, like it was also packed with oil and grime. We stayed in a “non-smoking” room, yet the scents of weed, cigarette smoke, and other funky smells were wafting around our room and the entire property. Camping outside is cleaner than this hotel, because at least dirt can be brushed off your feet easily. I don’t know if other people have genuinely had a good experience here or if the positive reviews were written by AI, because the negative ones are accurate. The only redeeming factor was a personable staff member at the front desk. Do NOT stay here.

It is OK for 1-2 days to stay… clean and roomy place, except the bed and low air circulation in bathroom. It was too soft bed to kill my back pain in worse every morning. But otherwise, decent place.

I can't say it was unique. Its a nice hotel but these were things that made things disappointing to me. The fitness room said 24 hours, but you need to get someone to let you in. The recumbent bike is broken. The seat is broken. You can't lock it in position. Then you also can't program it so it's impossible to ride. The other problem was the bathroom. I am tall, 6'3" and the toilet is very low. They really need a bar so you have something to guide you up and down. The shower had a bar by the shower head which is fine, but you could really use one in the back of the shower, where you get in, and one in the shower to hold on while washing your feet. The tub bottom didn't have noticeable friction against the soap on your feet. The hotel was very clean and well kept and the pool looked very nice.

The bedding was ripped and stained. The chair was ripped and dirty. The rug was old, dirty, stained. The sheer curtains were black with mold and had some black blotches. I wasn’t given any do not disturb sign or guidance when we checked in. Even after I finally got a sign to hang on the outside of the door, people were keying into the room without knocking. A man insisted that I called for him to repair the a/c. Not true. He insisted that he had already switched out my microwave earlier that morning. Not true. We had the same microwave all the days we were there, and it was noisy and horrible. The staff make empty promises and lie. The manager yelled at me, denied he yelled, and then yelled for me to get the Hell out. I called the police and was told that they get many calls from that hotel and they advise that I leave for my family’s safety.

Front staff was super friendly! My room smelled like weed and had some cobwebs, but I wasn’t really bothered until I went to bed around 11:00. I pulled back the covers and found small, dark, curly hairs all over the sheets. I probably could have talked to the front desk, but it was late. I slept on top of the comforter. Also, the man in the next room coughed a lot and it felt like he was in my room. The walls are super thin. I saved some money by staying here (the location is great!) but I really can’t recommend this property that clearly has some cleanliness issues.

The floors were horribly dirty in the rooms. The bathroom shower did not drain and the water kept getting ice cold during showering. We asked for a crib for our 1year old grandson. When he got in it, the bottom broke and we had to use sofa cushions to have a base for him to sleep in. The staff was the only positive part of our stay. Diamond was the young lady that checked us in and she, especially, was very kind and helpful!

The hotel exterior and interior were clean. No complaints about my room...it was nice and clean. However, it was a little noisy and I felt I was not in the best part of Hartford. It is a little noisy and a tad of "what's that smell"
