very beautiful place with amazing view of the mountains!

The instant my wife opened the hotel room, she shouted “Oh… How cute!!”

Loved the location, views of the mountains, ease of check in and friendly service.

Sage was very professional and helpful : )

Very convenient to Capital Reef Park. Property is located along the major east west highway between the Park and Torrey.
Slightly older property, but everything was very clean and worked well. I especially liked the Keurig in room, and the fire pit in the evening. The restaurant on premises was good. Some in our party enjoyed the pool.
I'd stay again.

A little overpriced considering the season. Service in the hotel restaurant was absolutely horrible.

The property was well maintained and clean! It had a restaurant on site. The breakfasts were excellent and worth the cost! It would make a great place for families to stay! It had hotel rooms, cabins and Teepees!

Pros: Great setting with beautiful views and very close to NP. The room was decorated with a western theme. At night there are fire pits that are gas powered so no need to worry about firewood. There are some convenient restaurants 5 miles away in Torrey.
Cons: The rooms in the motel part of the resort are nicely decorated but they only have one chair outside. The other rooms have two chairs and a table. The motel chairs look like kitchen castoffs and are not comfortable. We arrived at resort at 3:20 and were told check in was guaranteed at 4 and our room wasn’t ready. Onsite restaurant is pretty basic.

Every another room used water, whether the toilet or shower the noise would wake us up. The general noise around the hotel, cars, motorcycles, and ATV's were noisy.
The hotel was rated very high, I would give it a solid 5 out of 10.

We arrived at 9:40 and had Only 20 minutes left to use the hot tub. I was sore and rushed to get outside. It was so nice in there. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It had a beautiful view of the stars. The next morning we had breakfast from the restaurant at the hotel. It was eggs Benedict with asparagus, which was good, but we did not care for the potatoes that came with it. We also got a side of pancakes, which was very good. the room itself was a small but comfortable bed and a good shower pressure. The pool area had a pretty view that we checked out the next morning.

A view to die for from the room. All the staff on site were so friendly. Short drive from Capitol Reef. Well worth staying here

We loved our spacious, comfortable suite with a lovely view.

Clean rooms, well maintained, close to the park entrance. I would definitely stay here again. The pool area is beautiful where you can see the red rocks all around. Friendly staff.

The room, property and location were all good. Staff was friendly. We had a standard room which was rather dark. If you want a room with a view get the next step up. Had dinner at the restaurant, good salad, steak overdone. The peach cobbler was just plain bad.

The advertisement for the resort had obviously been altered. The pool shot for example. The resort is old but well taken care of but fell short of our expectations based on the photos and description of the property. We used the gym twice and it was hotter inside the gym than outside. Too hot for a workout but good for a sauna.

It was close to the park.

"My stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was perfect, close to all attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!"

Not snooty-fancy per se, but a really nice clean fun and family place to stay, excellent friendly staff, fire pits each night (gas, but we still made smores), and an outrageously great view of the landscape. VERY close to the park, as well, so we took a 5 minute drive into the park for some dark night stargazing.

Very nice accommodations. Clean, well maintained and great location.

Property was nice, view was extraordinary. The pool and hot tub were a plus after a long day of hiking. Conveniently located near Capitol Reef park entrance. Restaurant was good. Very busy in the minute service was quick.

Very close to Capitol Reef National Park. Great view at the hotel.

I couldn’t say enough positive things about this place! Everything was super clean, and there were so many things to do within the resort - swimming hot tub, bonfire (can purchase s’mores kits at the gift shop), horses and llamas, etc.! The view of the mountains behind the resort were breathtaking and waking up early to view the sunrise from the swing was so worth it! Staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful :)

It did not feel like a resort.

Great place to stay in Torrey. Very close to Capitol Reef. 3 Restaurants within walking distance. (Rim Rock Patio, Rim Rock Restaurant and Pioneer Cafe.) Great views. Overall quiet when we were there. Rooms are nice. Nothing super fancy, but nice and clean. Close enough to the rest of Torrey. We've stayed here multiple times for a reason.

No breakfast included in the price , should really fix it !!!, moreover, there is no breakfast buffet option in the restaurant. Won’t come again. Room was nice, great fitness center.

Beautiful setting. Pool could be a little cleaner but I will be going back.

There is not a lot in Torrey, Utah near Capital Reef. The hotel was fine, not bad, but not great either. We stayed only one night and worked well for us.
5.0
Didn't like carrying luggage up the stairs. Air conditioner worked but it didn't seem real cold. Breakfast could have been continental style, but it was reasonably priced and good food. Very nice breakfast staff. Seems to be older hotel and was as expected.
Didn't get a chance to use pool while staying, so have no rating on it.

**Review of Capitol Reef Resort**
I recently stayed at Capitol Reef Resort and had a mixed experience. The location is fantastic, offering breathtaking views and convenient access to the national park. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay.
However, the room and overall property fell short of what one might expect from a place calling itself a "resort." The accommodations were just okay, and the facilities did not stand out as exceptional. It might be the best option in the area, but based on the appearance of nearby establishments, I'd say Capitol Reef Resort is comparable or perhaps even below them in terms of quality.
Despite these shortcomings, the location and staff truly shine, and the breakfast, particularly the pancakes, was delicious. If you're looking for a convenient spot with great service and a good breakfast, this could be a good choice. Just don't set your expectations too high regarding the resort's amenities.

Great property, we have been here many times and will come again

The property is beautiful. It’s like staying on a Native American property. There are teepees, cabins… all in the “glamping” mode! Pool, campfire. Restaurant on site or try the Mexican, pizza and other options.
