Hands down a WONDERFUL experience. The staff was welcoming and helpful, especially Edward. The location is central to the Broadway and 7 trains, and Times Square. The room was clean and the lobby has a nice vibe. I look forward to returning! (And I NEVER leave reviews.)

great location, great service, elevators are slow but housekeeping (at least on the 18th floor) was perfect and super service-minded

Great stay at a very friendly place. Great location near times square, Carnegie hall, and theatres. Loved the staff, the bar, and the food. We were treated very well by everyone. The fragrance free hypoallergenic rooms towels and bedding was a huge plus for us. We will be back!

We were only here for a night but I’d say we had an overall good experience. The check in staff was polite. This is a very busy property and there can be a wait for the elevator. We are here in December and in Christmas season so the foot traffic is definitely at an all time high. It was our 10th anniversary and the hotel left a hand written note and a bottle of rose in our room, which was a nice touch. The rooms were small but clean. The beds weren’t so comfortable but had city views. The rooftop is probably the best part of booking this property because you get an amazing view of Times Square from here. The lobby is also really cozy and decorated well. The concierge downstairs went above and beyond in helping us locate a lost purse that I accidentally left in a cab which they arranged. It was almost miraculous how they tracked down the taxi driver and helped me get it back. So thank you gentleman for that!! Everything was walkable from here. I’d stay here again just for the convenience of that.

This hotel was super convenient, located at the beginning of Times Square. There were many options for food in the area.
Our issue was the staff. Check in went fine but they did not seem welcoming. The main lobby area was chaotic and the elevators to the street were quite slow so people would be lining up for the next one.
We had other reasons to not like the hotel, bit we will keep those to ourselves.

Great location and friendly staff (except at the lobby bar). Bathroom in 1014 was very dirty and door handle kept falling off. Stains on white bedding. When this was brought up on our first day we were told it would be remedied immediately, it never was. When mentioned at checkout I was credited 1 day resort fee on a 3 night stay. Rooms are spacious for NYC. Small safe and tiny fridge available in room. Coffee maker is not in the room, they will bring one upon request. Fitness center is very basic and Peloton wasn’t working during our stay. Breakfast buffet is pricey for the offerings, but there is a great view! Elevators can get really busy. We won’t return.

It was very good 👍

The rip off resort fee it’s just a money making exercise, absolutely noting on the resort fee will you use! But it’s still $35 per day for it, it’s a con.
The resort is extremely tired.
It annoying it does not have street level entrance to the hotel lobby, you have to use a lift from street level to the hotel lobby, very annoying if you are in a rush as the lifts get busy and are slow.
Not going to use this again, not value for money.

This hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful lobby, bar, and view of Times Square! It is the best of both worlds because it is one block up from the worst crowds, yet you can see all the lights and action. We were on the 26th floor and did not hear ANY traffic or crowd noise. The beds were comfortable, and the staff was great. Highly recommend.

Nice boutique hotel with awesome location in NYC. I was bummed no in-room coffee but that was really the only downside. Staff were great, & on-site bar and restaurant is really good!

We had a great stay. Hotel is near all the right spots on time square. But for a hotel if its size there was no water in the room and a kettle or coffee maker. To their credit the kettle was provided when we asked. Elevators could do with some high standard of servicing. It’s abit unnerving to have a creaking elevator and you are on the 32nd floor. Overall we had a great time.

Loving staying at M Social - great hotel. Clean, friendly and convenient.

I do NOT recommend this hotel. We were charged a very large fee because a “smoke sensor” detected smoke. No one in my party smokes, at all. The hotel staff says they cannot do anything about it, and its a 3rd party company that uses the sensors. Theres dozens of similar reviews like this on google as well. Be warned.

The hotel location is great but the room itself was not worth what we paid ( average of $440 per night for a Friday to Tuesday stay). The room was small which was ok but there were no places to put items, especially in the bathroom. Very noisy. Elevator sounds and plumbing sounds starting at 6 am or earlier. The room was dimly lit. There was no bathroom fan so the room was quite humid after a quick shower. Staff were pleasant and the location is great but the two seperate elevator banks made things awkward at busy times in the morning.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The staff were very courteous and I was especially impressed with the baggage concierge. Very friendly guys. The cost for the room was pricey so I was surprised to see that there was no coffee pot in the room. The rooftop patio off the lobby is a big draw here, as well. It's a great place to sit and see the city below. Very tight shower entry. I'm a big and tall guy and, though I had enough room to get in, it was close. I once stayed in a hotel with this same shower door design and its entry was even smaller.

Great location on Broadway, in walking distance from many attractions. Roof top bar view of Times Square was gorgeous.

Our room had plenty of space, a great view of Times Square as well as a partial view of the Hudson. All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, the bed comfortable and the balcony and lounge area were excellent.

I was in town for a business trip, location was perfect. What I did not realize that they have a DJ Thursday night till 11pm. The place is very hip and great for youngsters, influencers. I am old and boring :-) . Still hard to adjust to NYC prices of nearly $500 a night, you don't get much. After calling front desk about the noise ( we were on 14th floor and DJ on the 10th) , they said music will stop at 11pm and we will be credited $80 back.

Arrived before check in time and they let us check in and drop off our bags. Room was clean and maintained throughout our stay. Will be visiting again.

This hotel is no frills. I paid a crazy rate due to fashion week so relative value was not there. If you just need somewhere to crash, it’s fine. Service is fine. Bed is fine. Towels are old and rough. Don’t expect amenities or anything beyond somewhere to sleep. Which at normal rates, is fine here. You get what you pay for.
The few big knocks I have:
1) room service was AWFUL. Ordered an omelet and I could tell it was boxed egg-like product. Bread was cheap loaf. Coffee was instant. It was terrible and very over priced.
2) asked for late check out which they granted an hour, only to then have someone bang on my door as I was trying to sleep a little longer after a crazy delayed flight.
3) the destination charge for a hotel that has zero to offer is just offensive.
3.0 / 10.0
The location was perfect as it was a very short distance from times square. My biggest issue were all the fees that were never mentioned. $400 deposit had to be paid at the hotel and it was a declining balance for any purchases made at the hotel. If I chose not to purchase anything at the hotel and not charge it to my room then there would be a daily $40 fee. On top of those charges it was a $35 daily destination fee applied which I was unaware of even though I read through everything when I booked. Overall the hotel was good but all the hidden fees ontop of what I paid for the stay is ridiculous.

Stayed for 2 nights with 2 kids and had a great time. We came for the concert at Radio City and picked this hotel based on location. Room was clean, updated. Staff was very helpful and professional. We loved Times Square view. Walkable distance to attractions and subway. Parking just around the corner..

Everything was great about this hotel except there was no usb outlets, bathroom entirely to small.

The deceitful practice of charging $500 for a policy not explained at check in is very dishonest on the part of this hotel. The policy sign was turned facing the staff nor was it mentioned at check in . I will certainly turn to social media with this and make others aware of how dishonest the MSocial hotel can be.

Best part about this hotel is the rooftop bar! The location is awesome. You have this fun view of Times Square—part of it all but removed from the crowds. Rooms are modern and clean. I would definitely stay here again when I’m going just to see shows.

Updated hotel. Wonderful seven day stay. Elevators from street level can be a bit busy at times but not ridiculous.
6.0 / 10.0
A lot of the sockets in the room weren’t working, there was only one lift working from the ground floor to the lobby meaning there was always a long wait and queues. The shower curtain in the room had lots of grime coming off it. Lighting in the room was poor, there was no main light.
8.0 / 10.0
Loved the location of the hotel. Staff was helpful and courteous. What I didn’t like was upon arrival, elevator was out. Also, not enough lighting in bathroom.
6.0 / 10.0
Elevator was not working and the whole thing was working with 1 elevator from going to street from lobby. Their amenities in the room also weren’t working.

The M Social is a vibrant, metropolitan, and chic hotel that will put you right in the mix of NYC. The real draw is the patio bar, which provides an excellent city experience. Just the atmosphere of the lobby and rooftop bar, and the view of Times Square is well worth the stay! Very central to shopping, easy access to many desirable attractions, and conveniently located by many subway stations. Anyone traveling to/from JFK will have ease in their arrival and departure if they’re using public transport, as we did: the A/C/E has a stop at 50th, and the hotel is on 52nd. It’s not much more than a one minute walk, can’t get much better than that!
• For NYC the rooms are quite spacious. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and we appreciated that the room had a (very) mini fridge for leftovers throughout our stay. The reception staff was welcoming and the cleaning staff was extremely friendly.
• It was our second time staying at this hotel and we can certainly see ourselves staying there again (or if nothing else, we would come back to grab some drinks on their terrace - the cocktails and view are great!) Definitely a great place for first-timers in NYC, or anyone looking to truly experience the hustle and bustle of the city.

Wonderful hotel in a fabulous location! Lovely outdoor seating area, overlooking the great views! They kindly left my son a bottle of champagne and cake for his 21st BIrthday!

This review comes with a WARNING!
My family had a great time at this hotel as it was in a great location to walk to all the attractions and subway close to travel south to 9/11 memorial.
The hotel rooms were kept clean and towels changed daily.
WARNING: Staff stated/alleged one of my family had smoked/vaped in the room and I was charged $500 which was taken straight off the card I used at check-in. Firstly not one of my party has ever smoked and it turned out to be the smoke from my daughters hair straighteners, so be cautious when using hair straighteners in the rooms.
I have asked the hotel to refund the $500 fee but still haven’t had any correspondence after emailing.
It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had a similar incident however this should be highlighted in case this happens in future to someone else as there is no signs in the rooms about hair straighteners use.
The holiday was great but this event really put a dampener on my trip to New York.
