Hotel was convenient, comfortable and walkable. Will definitely stay again.

We reserved a two double-bed room. I checked in at 5 pm, a full hour after the required time, and was told that the room was not ready and the clerk could not give me a time when that would occur. She suggested I wait in the lobby area. I said we had tickets to a 7 pm play at The Shed over at Hudson Yards and needed to shower and change from our long flight. She replied there was nothing to be done. I asked to see the manager, and he offered several excuses as to why the room wasn't ready. He couldn't give a time when the room would be ready either. With a great deal of exasperation bordering on attitude, he gave me a room with a king-sized bed overlooking an exhaust vent spewing smoke/steam right in front of the window. I have stayed several times at this hotel--it has always been a pleasant experience. Not this time! The furniture in the room was worn, chipped, stained, and frayed--kinda unappealing for the price we paid. Not sure I'll return...

Convenient location. Room was comfortable and had a nice view.

I had a wonderful stay. The room is clean the floor itself is quiet and I had a 35 credit I can use during my stay (which I did not use, and I regret that but next time I will use it).
I don't have a picture of my room but the view was beautiful (especially at night) When you come to visit New York, take a room on the 41st floor you will not be disappointed

We stayed Saturday, November 9-12 2024. Not at all how I expected a Westin Hotel room in 2024 to look in any location. Very dated looking like 1970, right down to chipped old wood furniture and chipped dated wood window sills and floating shelves. The closet doors were the only mirror in the room, despite the online pics. Our cell phone chargers had to plug into an extension cords on the ground which the lamps are plugged into. The TV power cord was taut so it can reach the outlet across the room. The bathroom sink was so tiny that nothing stayed on the sink ledge; not even a cup or soap. There was a strange large black locked box in the closet under safe rendering it useless for storage. Upon entering the room, the old dirty horrible musty smelling rug had change on the floor showing me that the wait for the room to be cleaned did not actually happen.
This was a special occasion so I purchased flowers from a local market along with some gifts. I asked the front desk person Christina to hold the flowers and gifts until I had the opportunity to pick them up and surprise my daughter. She then told me to wait and took another customer, while I was standing there with a dozen roses and a bag of gifts. This was in the evening and there was nobody except the one gentleman waiting and 1 other front desk person without clients on her phone. When Christina was ready for me again, I was told to wait for the manager to come over to assist me. The female front desk manager was talking to

Great location near Times Square and Broadway shows. Short walk to Rockefeller Plaza and Radio Center Music Hall. Friendly staff. Very clean rooms.

Pleasant stay, convenient to lots of attractions, restaurants.

The initial room we were give was substandard, dirty, old, and damaged. Not worth the nearly $800/night we were charged and certainly not the Marriott standards we expect over our many years of travel. When we told the desk how bad it was, we were immediately moved to a vastly better room. There were no objections to the move and they immediately understood our more than valid concerns. It made the rest of the stay enjoyable, but such a room should NEVER be given to a Bonvoy member (or any guest for that matter). Thank you

For an over $500 one night stay I found the accommodations shabby and the bathroom was less than clean. Overall less than an average stay. Sadly.

Everything was amazing. I only wish the rooms had a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. Only down fall.

The room was clean and comfortable. However it had a door to an adjoining room and we could hear everything from the next room (conversation, hair dryer etc). There's a lot of traffic in the area, so you can really hear all the cars and buses honking through the night. So might be good to bring some earplugs. Additionally, the room did not have a mini fridge which was inconvenient. All of the inconveniences are outweighed by the great location, and friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is located close to Times Square and a lot of sights but the rooms and bathrooms need to be updated. Also they have to work on their service. I called three times about chewed gum that was stuck on nightstand from previous occupants! No one cleaned it. The bathroom door is sliding and open down. The paint is chipped. Westin could do better.

Friendly, helpful, and delightful staff!

Not impressed. Stay at Weston’s frequently. This was worst I’ve stayed in. Just nothing special.

Only there for the night, but it was a lovely room, clean, had some character. And it was just one avenue away from Times Square.
1.5
The rooms are not well insulated and the doors not soft close so we heard doors slamming all night. We needed to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work at all.

Have stayed here many times…however this stay showed how there is a lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel. The housekeeping dept apparently does not take pride in its work. My room was dirty when I checked in and despite my request it was not attended to during my stay. The dirt on the bathroom floor was not cleaned during my entire stay. The window sills and furniture were not dusted even though I made a request to the front desk.
I assume that this must be one of the Westin Properties that is either just allowed to disintegrate to a 2 or 1 star hotel. Would not be surprised if the name Westin is removed from the building or if it gets dumped by Marriott. Not even close to a 4 star establishment.

Westin was very nice, the staff were very helpful and professional. Our room was wonderful (Premiere Corner) and we liked the location I personally liked the gym.

We always enjoy a yearly visit at the Westin . We come yearly to visit our son and always have a pleasant experience. We enjoy the convenient location as well as courteous staff . The bathroom is sparkling and we can walk easily to theaters and subway stations . We would not stay anywhere else . The price is also reasonable .

The hotel is fine. But the service was terrible.
We arrived at 12:15 am and there were two groups in front of us. We got our room key at 1am! They told the first group there was a tech problem and it took about 20 mins for them to get the room key. The second group was 3 guys and they were told their room was not ready because they hadn’t done cleaning. Eventually the 3 young guys had to leave to find other accommodations late night.
They gave you restaurant credit because you had to pay $40/day destination fee. But the restaurant was so small, people waited in a very long line. We have to waste our credit and get breakfast at other places.
They also offers free museums and ferry tickets as a benefit of the destination fee, which is good. The problem is that you have to reserve the tickets at a desk 9am-5pm with only one staff. As anybody can imagine, the line is long and it took average 15-20mins per person.
Overall they provided many services and you just have to wait and wait.

Room was small, but nice enough. Location is very convenient and within walking distance to many attractions.

This is a beautiful hotel with a prime location. You can walk to nearly all of the major Manhattan attractions from the hotel, and it’s close to a subway station for any far away attractions. The interior is very stylish and luxurious. The rooms are clean and decently-sized in NYC standards.
