Didn't agree with them charging £10 for parking when it was only £2 outside

It’s an ok hotel, didn’t eat here, fire alarm went off during the early hours so not a great sleep.

The hotel was good and service friendly. However we had booming bass music until midnight. When checking out reception told us it was a Christmas party and would be loud at that end of the building. Excellent location.

Very friendly, comfortable hotel. Large public car park across the road with a reasonable overnight rate.

I normally leave five star but this time the room was cold and sink would not drain properly and a noise all night

Cracking value for money and all the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in a historic property - comfortable rooms and spacious bathrooms.

We had a great stay. The staff are friendly. Our room was fantastic & very large. The breakfast was great & the chief kept coming out to top everything up. The breakfast staff worked really hard to make sure everything ran like clockwork.

Great place to stay, the staff were friendly and the room was spotless

This is a hotel where we have been regular customers over a number of years and have stayed here 3 times in the past 15 months. However on this occasion we have a very mixed review of our latest visit. The majority of the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We ate in the dining room for one evening and as we have previously discovered, the food was excellent with a small but good menu choice and excellent service from our waiter.
Unfortunately however, our experience on the last night of our stay in the hotel bar was both unexpected and unpleasant. The bar staff called last orders must before 11pm and about 10 mins later, those of us in still seated in the bar were told to leave the room as they had to close it for the night. We were told to finish our drinks in the lounge which as we discovered were both in darkness the closed doors. We quickly downed our drinks and left. If this is the policy as to how the hotel treats its guests from now on, we will not be returning. Since Kings Lynn is my wife`s home town, we are regular visitors and will now look elsewhere for our accommodation.
Finally the parking system has changed since our last visit some months ago. There is a daily charge of £10 but no guarantee of a space should you take your car out in the day or for the evening. There are council car parks nearby but may or may not work out more expensive and less convenient than the hotel.
Overall rather disappointing

Stayed in a large feature room which was so spacious. It over looked the market square which was the only niggle with our stay - but should be highlighted was nothing to do with the hotel.
The Square is a busy place during an evening with locals from adjacent pubs and this lead to a lot of noise, especially on the Saturday, as it didn’t quiet down until the small hours.
A lovely hotel, friendly staff and a nice Prezzo and Nando’s less than 2 minutes walk away.
Also the best full English Breakfast I had in ages, superb.
Would certainly return here again.

Great hotel everything was perfect!

Grand facade. You wonder if it's going to be a story of former glory. It's good. Central location of course. Clean. Comfortable. Excellent food downstairs. Friendly staff. Really good.

We had a great time . Im local, so i know this hotel is good. Rooms are quite basic, but immaculately clean .
A special mention to the two barmen , Curtis and Ryan , they made our night, such great personalties. The hotel are lucky to have them, so friendly .
If you want a central hotel, as a local person, ithis is the place to stay. , really recommend.

Lovely historic property on Tuesday Market Place. Lots of opportunity to walk the pedestrian mall that runs off TMP. A few chain restaurants are close by (Nando’s & McD’s) with the large Globe Weatherspoon just across. The breakfast buffet at Duke’s was very good with lots of selections kept fresh.

Booked 2 nights room only via Expedia.Room (310) fine and bathroom shower excellent. Corridors a little tired however. Parking at rear of hotel a pricey £10 per night. Discovered from receptionist that if stay is under 3 nights your room is not serviced and blamed Covid! Very aggrieved by this as no mention in any of the emails from Expedia or hotel. Also Saturday night is wedding night so expect noise from disco until midnight!

Excellent service from Ashley on arrival in reception. Very helpful and welcoming and ensured our bikes were secure in the ballroom! Receptionist when checking out was also very helpful and friendly.

Mixed experience. Lovely old hotel abut the noise from outside and inside was appalling. Being a bank holiday there was plenty going on, and the pub next door had music until late, not a problem, but the windows don’t stop any sound at all so the bedroom was far from an escape. Add to that the blinds didn’t fit the window so the room didn’t get dark. In the morning, the bass from the dining room, below, can be heard in the room from 8am (Blue Monday - New Order woke me up). Lovely spacious room, clean, big bathroom but sleep quality was as bad as I’ve ever experienced.

Parking was a bit of a faff but all in all a pleasant hotel with good staff.

The hotel was nice but sadly the room I stayed in felt very dark and claustrophobic due to the view of a brick wall. Obviously this can't be helped but wasn't very pleasant

It was easy to find, central, quiet with clean rooms

Found a bedbug in my bed, was changed rooms but still not great to say the least!

Run down. One is tempted to give a high rating for the sake of the over-worked staff, but the owners of this place are clearly cheap. Mildew, clogged drains, worn carpet. Window left open in room to ventilate mold smell. Bubbling, peeling paint on wall beside bed from leaking shower on the other side. Broken/missing knobs in shower. Water damage and peeling paint around room window. Threadbare carpet throughout. Sad.

We had a lovely stay at the Dukes Head, all staff extremely helpful and friendly from minute we checked in, to bar staff, waitress at dinner, all was excellent.

Lovely hotel but the room overlooked the beer garden of a pub and so was noisy late into the night.

This was an OK Hotel, nothing special for the price paid.
The Location was superb!! and right across the road from the Corn Exchange.
The Hotel, as a façade, is impressive with lots of lovely old sitting areas and a great bar.
Breakfast was a little disappointing to be honest and very limited cooked options: Full English ...for a Hotel of this rating we would have expected more choice.
No in-room safes.
The Team here are maybe it's best Asset..

The reception staff were very helpful and friendly- moved us to a different room to avoid some steep stairs and gave directions on how to get to places. Breakfast was good especially if booked with room giving good value. Also offers on dining and car parking during March a plus.

Absolutely amazing and the historic feel and touch make it even better
