This is a very charming place. The rooms are very nice and clean with a little patio to sit outside. The staff here is incredible, welcoming and friendly. You will be right across the street from an amazing public beach (Raddison) and every morning at 6am you can watch the horses enjoy water therapy after their workout at the horse track. Very beautiful to watch. I highly recommend this place!

This is a wonderful quiet little Hidden Gem. The service was amazing and so was the food. We went to the beach a couple times for lunch and the hotel packed us a cooler full of sandwiches sodas and cookies. What a wonderful experience I can't wait to return
4.3
Great room and staff.
4.3
Small hotel in a great location, very close to the beach. Excellent service by friendly and accommodating staff who kept us safe during the storm.
4.3
Very accommodating and comfortable stay.
4.3
Lot of noise from bugs right outside the rooms makes it hard fo get a good nights sleep. Meals are also sub standard. Room beds are also not too comfortable.
4.3
The Island Inn has an extemely friendly and attentive staff. It is so quiet and relaxing. The walk to the beach is less than two minutes and the beach is quiet and relaxing. Easy walk to Carlisle Bay as well. The pool is a perfect size to cool off and relax around.
4.3
The property is over 200 years old, but well maintained. The quality of the service from the staff is AMAZING.
4.3
Overall it was a very nice stay. The smell in the bathroom was the only thing I would say that upset me about this hotel. The food and drinks were mid tier which was what I expected. I would stay here again.
4.3
The staff at the Island Inn, were, as they always have been, kind, attentive, polite and knowledgeable. I have now been to the Island Inn two times, and have referred friends and family there. Wonderful experience!
4.3
The evening dinner was very good. The breakfast the next morning was just ok.
4.3
Great food on the all inclusive
4.3
A great alternative to the big hotels. One floor with rooms around the pool or garden. Meals are excellent. Very short walk to the beach.

This hotel is very charming. Read a lot of reviews and some were very negative so was hesitant but there weren't a lot of options because of high season. It is all inclusive which is nice. The food was decent (we just came off a 6 start cruise with fine dining for comparison). Felt like good home cooking. Some items better than others. Some of the people were very happy and some not friendly--hit or miss--but no one was ugly. We were in the junior suite by the pool. The lighting is horrible in the bathroom, so I just didn't wear make up and no plug to do hair in bathroom. I couldn't get the blow dryer in our room to work, so I air dried. The climate is so conducive to it, honestly, felt like a break from the make up/hair routine--a true vacation. The junior suite was large but a bit dated, but the overall vibe of the place is nice. The outdoor dining is the best and because of the courtyard set up, it is a very social place. The location is great with a white sand within a 5 minute walk. It is between the Hilton & Radison. I was happy I stayed here and not one of the larger brands. They arranged our taxi to the airport and it was very nice and reasonably priced.
4.3
Very good value for an all inclusive inn. Definitely not a resort but pleasant and quiet. Half block walk to beach where it is a treat to watch thoroughbred horses take their morning swim. Not in a good walking area of Bridgetown.
4.3
Very comfortable all inclusive hotel 50m to the beach, not at all like the normal overcrowded beach hotels around.
4.3
Great food and friendly staff.

This is a small hotel which we opted for instead of the Radisson opposite, where we usually stay and I will explain the difference. The Radisson is in a brilliant spot right on the beach with amazing views whereas the Island Inn is tucked behind 2 mins from the beach with no direct view. However the Island Inn beats the Radisson on so many other points …
The Radisson is very rundown now whereas Island Inn is well maintained.
There is several nice spacious lounge areas where you can relax and the bar area is great and the central hub with the odd bit of entertainment - the Radisson has small disjointed areas and no social atmosphere.
The quality of food at the Island Inn is far better and all inclusive. There’s limited choices but all the food we had was delicious whereas the Radisson is hit and miss and in 7 stays I only chose to eat there in the evening twice.
Rooms - again the Island Inn wins and despite several reviews calling the rooms tired, in my view they are typical of Barbados.
Pools are both small.
At the Island Inn you need to pay for sunbeds on the beach and be careful prices vary especially if the cruises are in. We paid 17 bajan one day but usually 15 US whereas the Cruise Club tried to charge 60 US !! Popping back to the hotel for drinks and lunch is easy.
Most of the staff are friendly with a few exceptions. Lemar is great ! The hotel seems to have a lot of older couples who return every year and excellent for lone travellers as very friendly

Easy access from the airport with welcoming spacious reception.

Fabulous hotel. Everything was perfect for us, we met many friends all of whom were repeat guests which says it all really. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
4.3
As mentioned in many previous reviews the Hotel needs a bit of TLC mainly in the bathrooms.
We had a Junior Suite which was a good space as we were only a couple. We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed the holiday even though the rain was daily.
Just a small point for the Ladies, the rooms are dark even with lights on so my partner struggled with makeup and daily complained that she could not see enough.
At times we experienced heavy rain and the courtyard drains/ gutters could not cope so basically flooded out in some areas but as mentioned it was heavy rain.
Food was excellent, as was the service in the restraint and bar.
Initially, on arrival we were not sure we had made the right choice but the Hotel grows on you and very soon it’s all smiles and positive thoughts.
No beach but it’s a 2 min walk to Pebble Beach and a 10 min walk to Carlisle Bay.
Sister hotels Mango Bay and The Sands are worth a visit (mango Bay we thought a better hotel).
Would stay again but only in Junior Suite as other guests mentioned the Garden View rooms were small and their really isn’t much to see in the garden

The hotel had character being built in 1905, but everything is clean and functional. Some staff members are very warm and helpful like Sharon at the servery. Food was excellent and the proximity to Pebbles Beach was a definite plus. Would definitely come again.
4.3
A fantastic place to stay. The staff were so nice to us all the time. The food was the best I’ve ever had from an all inclusive hotel. It felt more like fine dining.
Sad to leave…
4.3
Loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the whole friendliness of everyone too was so lovely. The food is great and Lamar makes the best cocktails. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need in them. Iron, ironing Board, toiletries, towels, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, a safe and a tv. All apartments have a patio area to sit out on and sun beds are around the pool. The pool is small but enough for a cooling dip.
The beach is a 2 minute walk away and at 5:30am you can watch the horses get washed and walked in the sea. Also the monkeys sometimes pay a visit in the mornings for food, which is so lovely.
To sum it up, everyone you speak to would return back so that just says it all.

Lovely and friendly staff
Spacious room
Great location
All inclusive
Really feels like home away from home!
Highly recommended
4.3
Small and very welcoming hotel. Nice rooms and food very good.
4.3
Has the ability to be a 4 star with a little attention to maintenance to the hotel. The pool deck needs a deep cleaning, gutters also need to be cleaned out. When it rains you are walking in deep puddles due to poor drainage.
Food choices are very limited.
Rooms are clean.
4.3
Overall, this was a lovely and relaxing stay. The room was a little out dated, but that wasn’t a deal breaker. There was entertainment a few nights and rum tastings! The beach isn’t too far away and it’s beautiful!
Torah, Tre and both Sharon’s were AMAZING!!
Unfortunately, 2 of the staff members were extremely rude to us and that ruined the vibes. Especially the final day at dinner, where Ann brought over 2 ice cream’s for us however, we only ordered 1. When I mentioned that, she roughly placed both ice creams down and walked off.
Ann and Elise were extremely unpleasant to us, but were kind and attentive to other guests.
It was very disappointing and the main reason for my overall 4 star review.
4.3
The water pressure was low and shower head very small, mattress was uncomfortable, felt like sleeping on a plywood,
4.3
Clean, comfortable, not crowded, three meals plus tea service daily, drinks bar, evening entertainment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool on property, and beach a stone’s throw from hotel. Nearby small shopping plaza with restaurants and convenience shop. Had a lovely stay and visit in Barbados.
4.3
Such an amazing, peaceful home away from home! Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Food is amazing. It's a minute walk away from pebbles beach and Carlisle Beach.
Kid friendly and overall just a great place!
4.3
The service was limited. Everything was cheap and exact. Should not be classified as an all inclusive.

Originally a rum storage way back in the early 1800's, Island Inn is full of character. The conversion to a hotel has been done well, maintaining the character of the original building, and the rooms are large and well appointed. The all inclusive nature of our booking meant we didn't have to worry about paying for food and drinks which were generous and very good. Dinner plates have been beautifully presented and the choice good - however, we would have liked to experience a little more Bajan food. The beach is close by and we walked to sights of historic interest and museums without difficulty. Savvy Bar on the Beach was fun too with food trucks and great pina colada on call.
4.3
The Island Inn was terrific value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they gave us a sense that they were genuinely pleased to have us stay: the food was very good and the room was very clean and convenient to the small pool and main areas. I would thoroughly recommend it for a couple seeking a relaxing stay.
4.3
It was a wonderful experience
4.3
Wonderful experience. Friendly staff.
4.3
Friendly and supportive staff, historic building, all inclusive means pay up front and don’t need to tally what one eats and drinks. The green monkeys were an added bonus.
4.3
Small quiet hotel with bungalows set out amongst the grounds. We overlooked the pool which was hardly used due to the proximity of the sea a few steps away.
Dinner and lunch was a la carte with a buffet breakfast. Bar open from 10am until 11pm.
Big surprise to hear and see the monkeys which ran across the roof at 6am’ish.
Staff friendly and helpful. Music entertainment in the evening.
4.3
Excellent, excellent customer service!! I absolutely loved the 'at home' feeling. Highly recommend!
4.3
it was clean and quiet, met people from a variety of countries.
- was not crazy about the food, wish there were more choices of local foods
