Actual location is great. Property needs some attention. Staff lack motivation and guest service skills. No real sense of urgency. Food is mediocre. Couple shining stars. Sadie and a young man down at the beach who is an avid fisherman. The rest of the staff seemed disinterested and inconvenienced.

Lovely small hotel in beautiful setting. Warm and attentive staff. Very well run.

This was our second stay in La Toubana and as always it was exceptional. Excellent service, rooms, view and food there's nothing more to say

While the service was top notch this is NOT a 5 star resort. It is at best a 3 star resort with 5 star prices. It is a bit tired and in need of a major face lift. The louver doors between the dining room and pool were broken and in need of replacement as were the sunscreens, we had villa with plunge pool with broken and rotted outdoor moldings, broken trim on bathroom mirror, rotted shelving in bathroom, very poor finish trim work inside, and paint job that certainly lacked pride in one's work. One morning we had no water in the unit. Unfortunately when I called the desk no one spoke English. If you do not speak French consider somewhere else as English is not widely spoken or used anywhere we went on either side of the island. This was supposed to be a scuba dive trip for me and the resort website claims diving "nearby" it was 2 hours each way and a 220 euro taxi ride to get to the "nearby" diving. Kudos to Linda for getting management to comp the taxi ride. Which brings me to my last point nothing and I mean nothing is easily walkable from this resort and you will need to rent a car and once out and about deal with traffic that rivals downtown NY. Figure min 30 minutes even to go only 10 or 15 miles. Beautiful beaches but the island is not ready for English speaking visitors and I for one would rather not spend by holiday sitting in traffic to get anywhere. I have stayed in many resorts in the eastern Caribbean and the cost of food and drink at the resort... OMG!

Paradise on earth. Breathtaking view, impeccable service, comfortable and perfect for our short vacation. Thank you la Toubana for making our miniature trip unforgettable. We will see you again very soon.

Very friendly staff, great food and great location

Beautiful view, very professional staff.
Too many people from outside the hotel at the bar at cocktail hours. Sometimes difficult to find a seat and long wait to be served.

Fantastic place!

I loved The week spent here. The rooms are nice aNd private. The food was so delicious, wow. Didn’t even need to leave the property for dining which was great because our goal was rest and relaxation. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. And the views are amazing.
We totally enjoyed the Spa as well.
Gym is very small and not much equipment and would have liked to have a TV channel in English other than the one option of CNN. A totally French place which we totally enjoyed.

Great position and views, really attentive people, nice safe beach location. One small negative - loss of water availability at night is quite frequent. The hotel can’t control this but should clearly tell guests so it can be planned for.

Great location just in front of the see, nice small bungalows with a big deck, beautiful swimming pool and restaurant overlooking the pool and the see.
Really friendly staff.
Bar and beach area sometimes overcrowded ; lots of clients not from the hotel. Breakfast really good, but would be even better with daily changes. Restaurant of the beach is good and not overpriced. Main restaurant is a bit disappointing : too pricey for a standard quality.

Simply beautiful. Private boutique feel. Staff was helpful and efficient.

Quality abounds in a chill European atmosphere. Well laid out, impeccably clean. Stunning scenery and location with plenty of lounging locations around the pool or a 5 minute walk down to the small but very nice beachfront. Food options at both restaurants are delicious, service is relaxed and professional. Our bungalow was quiet and exceeded our expectations. The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms and sitting areas perfect and all looked brand new. We also enjoyed beautiful ocean views bedroom and terrace. Being a French island and owned hotel French is their primary language but most of the staff speak English and are very helpful. We never had any communication issues and neither did the other English speaking guests that we noticed also enjoying their stay. Will gladly recommend!

Gorgeous property and setting. Very limited and plain dinner menu. Very few staff speak English. Breakfast was best meal. Could use better coffee, more and creative and current dinner options. Everyone very friendly and quick to serve. Gym is dark and VERY tight. No running or bike paths possible. No kayaks on property. No outlets in bathroom. Housekeeping very skimpy on towels, but very clean. Everything looks well maintained. Pool could be better heated a little.

We really enjoyed our short stay here before a week long sail boating trip around the Island. Beautiful view - great service!

Property in a beautiful beach front property. The suites and villas are large and comfortable. Very well appointed and private. But they are a bit of a walk to the beach and pool -- either on a dark road or grass path.

Treated myself to a solo trip and night and what a treat it was. Extremely pricey, but seriously indulging. Late check out must be booked in advance in case you didn’t know (I didn’t) and so I had to fork out an extra €200 to upgrade to a different room and pay for late check out (which annoyingly they waived for my friend who stayed there a week beforehand)

Nice hotel with amazing pool and ocean access. We only speak English, but the staff were all very accommodating in helping us communicate and most were fluent in English. Our room was a partial ocean view bungalow. It could use some maintenance on the exterior, but the interior was clean and well-kept. Comfortable king sized bed with good pillows. Bathroom featured a rainfall shower with additional spray hose and a toilet with built-in bidet (very strange for us Americans!). The room had a safe, robes with flip-flops, refrigerator, hair dryer, tv. Nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash in shower with lotion and little packet with q-tips/cotton round/nail file. There was a strange fish-like smell in our room that we couldn't place. The room was very clean.
Main restaurant right off reception was open air and viewed the pool. Restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. We had breakfast included with our room and we really enjoyed it. Automatic coffee maker was fantastic- coffe/expresso/cappuchino/cafe au lait. Wide assortment of fruits with scrambled eggs and bacon every day along with pastries, yogurt, cereal, meat, cheese, and crepes.
Pool is beautiful with one edge along the cliff-side being infinity. Plenty of seating areas both covered and uncovered. They give you two towel cards which you exchange for towels. A bar is at the pool and serves really tasty artisnal cocktails along with beer and wine. We were given a voucher for a free drink at the time of our arrival.

The staff at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect for beautiful, restful vacation.

Extremely friendly and helpful. Great beach Kept restaurant open as we arrived late to get us some food Will return

The rooms and breakfast was not that great. The only thing I can say is their pool/pool view is nice and the private beach is beautiful. If it's to stay for the day just to enjoy the beach and pool I say it's a Yes but to sleep I say it's a No go.

We stayed at La Toubana in July 2017. The staff was very welcoming and the restaurant even provided dinner for us on our first night even though we arrived past closing due to a 7 hour flight delay. The amenities are beautiful with comfortable loungers at both the pool and beach. Food is excellent. Our room was a stunning two story condo type room up on the hill. Easy free parking and we felt very safe. The staff was also very accommodating to our lack of French speaking skills which I had heard could be an issue on the island. Definitely not a problem here. We will be back again and highly recommend this facility.

Spectacular. They upgraded us to a panoramic view which was unreal. Great breakfast. Lunch and dinner just ok. Great service. Pool and beach are amazing.
4.3
This is a wonderful hotel with terrific ocean views. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the morning's breakfast presented a nice variety of foods. A delightful stay!

Staff was great. Restaurant was quite delicious. Hotel was under some repair since it was at the end of the low season, otherwise well maintained. Recommend
