I do like to be greeted at hotels with kind and refreshing smiles, this was not that. A dreary delivery of salutations.
Bath towels had a hair on it, which unsettled me. The hotel room was okay, but clearly needed a refresh.
Boutique often means dated, and this hotel was 60% boutique and 40% outdated.
If it wasn’t for the hair this was an average hotel at a decent price.

Beautiful property, but I didn't stay very long, just slept and left. Wish I had more time. Careful about 24 hour airport shuttle. It isn't 24 hour. I had to get myself an Uber a little after midnight.

I had an excellent stay at the Magnolia Omaha. It is a lovely, historic building with clean and comfortable rooms and reasonable rates. The big surprise was a platter of chocolate-dipped strawberries arranged around a generous pile of whipped cream! Such a treat.

Check in was not very welcoming. Almost felt that i was intruding. The room was ok however the shower had mold and the body gel bottle was empty.

Great stay! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the restaurant was very cute, and gave off an early 1920s vibe, with delicious food and excellent cocktails. The front desk was amazing and went above and beyond for me. I have a 5 year old, and at check in she was very tired. One gentleman came from behind the counter and got her some of the complimentary cookies and milk to perk her up. When I went outside to unload the car my child stayed in the lobby, the woman who checked us in didn't see her, so she came outside looking for her to make sure she was okay! That was above and beyond what she needed to do, but knowing she was concerned about my child's safety, meant the world. 10/10 recommend! If I ever go back to Omaha, this is where I am staying!

Comfortable rooms in a historic hotel. 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Old Market. Convenient free shuttle service. Restaurant and bar downstairs. Stayed here for a beautiful wedding in the hotel.

Staff members were all great. Spoke with front desk and restaurant staff.

Great location to walk to places. It is older which is expected of a historic site but the thermostats were quite old and took a bit to start up. Service is great. Bar is great. Could hear people outside your door/next door very well.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Omaha. A complementary shuttle picked me up from the airport. I was able to check in early and greatly enjoyed my stay. This is my go to hotel when I’m visiting my daughter iat college.

The beds were great! Liked they had a restaurant bar. Very cool old style place to stay. It was difficult to adjust the thermasat and have a fan moving air in the room, made the room stuffy. Sliding door to bathroom is heavy and cumbersome if you are elderly.

Alfred was amazing. Any organization couldn't ask for a better customer facing employee. He made us feel like the hotel was truly grateful we had chosen to stay there and we were their most valuable guest. Al picked us up at the train station via the complimentary shuttle and he was wonderful also. I didn't have small bills for tip so I broke down bills during the day in order to leave later for him. The gentleman at the front desk the evening of the 22nd when I left Al's tip was also so kind and friendly. I'm afraid that didn't necessarily carry through to all staff. Had difficulty with the shuttle. Some staff didn't have the same desire to make the guest know they mattered. But I would absolutely stay again just for the treatment we received from Alfred and the other at the front desk, and Al, with the hopes that the rest of the staff would surely be caught up in their training, take a hint from Alfred and (I wish I knew his name) or replaced. Alfred sets the standard in guest service. ❤️

My husband and I took a short trip to Omaha and really enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia. All of the staff were friendly and professional. The hotel design was very enjoyable giving us the highlights of years past updated for today’s convenience and style. Great place to stay!

We stayed here because of the free dog policy. The front desk was under staffed at check in, but the rest of the stay was fine. There was a wedding going on so the energy was up. Comfy beds!

A bit of a disappointment. The property has some charm, but needs to be upgraded. Toilet hardly flushed. Small bugs in the bathroom.

We booked this hotel based on its glorious rating (9/10). However, we found something totally different.
The good point is the location.
Cons: There was a drastic lack of customer service (except for the bar area and Alfred, who checked us in). The rooms, elevators, and hallways were very dirty—old dirt, not just messy! The toilet was leaking—we didn't even bother to report that. I'm sure they were fully aware of it. Needless to say, the room didn't get any cleaning during our two-night stay. On the second day, we came back to the hotel pretty late, and we were very surprised to find a stack of towels and a couple of plastic bags on the floor by the door ... this was astonishing; we had never seen anything remotely close to this lack of hygiene and respect for the customers.

The hotel is clean, welcoming and perfect for any stay. My husband stayed for a weekend getaway and we enjoyed supper at the hotel restaurant, as well as cookies provided every night at 8pm. No issues other than the tv being a little older and blurry.

Historic building in Omaha, but well-kept and modern rooms. Staff was courteous and helpful, the shuttle service was very useful for exploring the area, especially with some construction making it even more challenging to navigate downtown. Only real negative was the restaurant was a bit lacking in service. It was a decent experience but I might think of some of the other nearby hotels if i were to do it again.

We stayed here years ago and remembered it fondly - old but classic elegance. Maybe it’d have been better if I got the corner room I booked , I don’t know, but the room I did get was dark, dusty and run down - stained carpet and lamp shades, peeling paint, and the back door lock didn’t work. Yet staff was friendly and being dog friendly - lots of great dogs!

The hotel was so nice and all the employees were exceptional. Wish the bathrooms had safety bars for the tubs as the floors were slippery after a shower. I loved the room (king premier suite) layout and how it was furnished.

Usually this is our favorite hotel to stay at in Omaha. We were really disappointed at the cleanliness this time. There was hair in our shower and on the carpet, the carpets on the floor hallway were unclean and stained, two sets of elevators were broken. The staff were excellent and valet was also excellent.

I am a Hotels.com Silver member and was expecting a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival, but nothing was in room. I didn't question it as it wasn't my job to remind staff.
Otherwise wonderful stay, comfortable, clean and close walking proximity to Old Marketplace. Will definitely re-book if I ever find my may back to Omaha.

The surrounding area is in a seedy part of downtown, you don’t want to be walking around after dark. The shuttle is completely unreliable. I called a day ahead of time to arrange for the airport shuttle to take me to the hotel and it never arrived, i had to call the hotel 3 times and each time was promised the driver was on their way to the airport. The hotel staff did apologize for this however and were very kind in their response. I tried to use the shuttle again as it is advertised it will run within a 3 mile radius, it was not available once again. The standard rooms are on the smaller side compared to other hotels. The bathrooms have a sliding door which is fine to close but opening is a bit difficult. The showers are built on a narrow platform so you have to step up in order to climb into the shower. They do have a safety handrail against the wall. The showers have a thin curtain barrier so water does pour onto the floor even if you’re being careful. The facility is kept clean and the staff is friendly. However, the lounge is kept locked when the bar is closed which is between 2 and 4pm and immediately after 10 pm on weekdays. The courtyard is very pretty and available anytime but if the weather is inclement there wouldn’t be anywhere else to commune outside of your individual hotel room. It would be a pretty venue for a wedding as I’m sure they open up more of the hotel common areas in that case, and it’s just fine for an overnight stay.
