Right in downtown Calistoga. Street parking available. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Offer of continental breakfast delivered to the room daily. Pool and lounging area in the back is beautiful. Calistoga is not a very lively community but is a peaceful holiday. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. There is a bus that you can ride to Napa and to St Helena for only $2/person. The concierge told us that they will have bikes available next year (2025). Great news as there is a bike path that runs from Calistoga down to Napa, providing a beautiful ride through wine country. Love this hotel and will visit again.

We liked the location and the pool area. The hotel staff are friendly and the decoration and furniture is nice. Unfortunately our room was quite noisy so that we were woken up early.

We will again visit in our next time in the region.

This hotel was so nice! Staff was very friendly, the location was perfect, the amenities were well thought out. We stayed in the cottages and they were perfect. We also loved the tropical bar right outside the pool and the businesses just across the street. Would stay again!

Pictures online was no where near our expectations when we showed up. The room was outdated by 100 years.

it was a nice stay as usual!

the property was dated and in need of renovation. for the amount charged, there rooms were very small, the hallway carpeting looked worn and in need of cleaning or even replacement. there were no elevators or parking area.
4.0
parking can be a problem. only street parking. otherwise nice facility.

Beds could be updated, sunk in the middle

A clean, affordable motel like property at the start of the Carmel shopping/restaurant area.

I'm not fond of giving less that stellar reviews but i feel that it needs to be done in this instance. Our three-night stay was disappointing. We've stayed at other hotels around the area before and I'm sorry to say that this was one of our least favorites. Starting with the good... the location is great. Close to everything and walking distance from a lot of dining options. We like the fact that the pool area stays open 24 hours. For the not so good.... our cottage needs a lot of updating. The bed wasn't great, the toilet seat was coming off, and the window shades need replacing. Not great considering the price we paid for the room. The complimentary breakfast was meh at best. We will definitely look at other options next time we're in Calistoga.

Room was large and quiet. Only complaint is you have to request services during your stay. Loved the quaintness of the hotel. Location is AMAZING! staff was wonderful and super helpful. Highly recommend for a nice trip to the Napa area.

Service was impeccable. Each morning they Brought a pot of coffee and continental breakfast to our door. The pool was perfect with plenty of shade and sun. The hot springs spa was lovely. Location could not be better with dining and wine options everywhere. Its an older historic hotel but had all the current amenities needed.

I really enjoyed the swimming pool at the property and hot tub. Parking wasn't easy. I am handicap and I was surprised that the hotel did not offer handicap parking. I had to park across the street and one of the front office managers helped us with our luggage, mind you in the middle of the street. I had difficulty going to sleep as our room was on an alley and someone was playing their TV set really loud with windows open. I put earplugs in, but still heard the noise. The beds were comfortable. One other note that the tiolet was extremely low and difficult for me who just had a total knee replacement to get up from the tiolet bowl. Another strange set was a step up leading to the bathtub which both my friend and I thought was strange as I could see someone falling quite easily. Not sure if this configuration was just in our room or all the rooms.

Great location for walking in the town. If you stay on the weekend be aware that they have an outdoor theatre that starts at 9:00. It is load in the cottages for sure.

We had a suite, 3 rooms with a balcony overlooking the street. Nice pool in back. Claw foot bathtub is a little tricky for seniors. Good breakfast brought to room. Very helpful staff.

I paid $290 for one night with breakfast included.
The breakfast was definitely not a breakfast, they don't have a kitchen apparently or a dining room. Breakfast was brought to the room and was 3 slices of cake and 2 tangerines and a choice of drink ... no protein, and no other choices, absolutely terrible.
To make it even worse you had to pick a time for delivery, but 6 minutes after that time still no breakfast. So I called, "Sorry we have a 15min delivery window" ...
The room was tiny, big enough for me, but for that price I expect more. There were long black hairs on the bathroom floor, I was alone and have only a few short grey hairs remaining.
The little table was very wobbly, the chair was comfortable but the legs were at a weird angle.

Where this hotel excels is location, location, location! Convenient shops and food options within walking distance. We always ate breakfast at the Calistoga Roastery across the street. The staff is great and helpful and treat you with a nice continental breakfast brougt to your room (some sweets, fruits, and coffee/tea).
Where the hotel does not excel in is outdated rooms. Specifically, they should replace the carpet with new carpet or tile. The bathrooms were small but manageable. The toilet was from the late '80s, probably when the building was constructed. It wouldn't cost them an arm and a leg to replace all the toilets to the 21st century with better flushing capabilities.
Lastly, parking is a bit inconvenient. There is on-street parking, but that may fill up. They have behind the building parking, which can be tight. Because I'm disabled, I always had my own reserved disabled parking spot on the street side. Not sure what happens if both on stret parking and behind the building parking fillup.

This hotel is very cute! We loved the pool and interior. They have very friendly staff and cleaning staff really good at their job. I would give 5 star, but there were some things in a room that were missing. In king suit we expected that sofa would open and become an actual bed (because of that sofa material was worn out and my kid did not want to sleep on it). So we asked for extra bed and used our travel mattress on top of the sofa (we put them side by side, which made a big normal bed out of the sofa). Noise out of the restaurant was manageable, our kids fell asleep without any problem (but we always use noise sound anyway), after 10 noise stops and it did not bother anyone. Mini fridge and coffee maker is a plus. Small microwave would be great, at least somewhere in a facility. (For small kids warm milk is a must ☺️ - that’s why we bring milk frother with us everywhere now). Breakfast is a wonderful bonus!❤️Overall we liked it and hope to come back!

My daughter and I had a fabulous visit to Calistoga and largely due to the hospitality and professionalism of the staff at Mount View Hotel & Spa. Being able to use the amenities (pool) before our room was ready was wonderful as well as the continued access to the pool after check out time. We will definitely book another trip to Mount View Hotel & Spa!

Good location in Calistoga. Didn’t have movie the night we stayed even though it was on website. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was nothing to write home about.

A super cool old hotel in the heart of Calistoga. Great location everything is within walking distance!!!! Rent a cottage it's worth it!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Little comforts made the difference.Bathrobes, fresh coffee bought to room and wine glasses. They have a destination charger for both Tesla and electric vehicles.
One small thing for improvement. Hot tub could have done with emptying and having a good clean as it was green.

This was our 2nd time at the hotel. We came back because of the staff were friendly, the swimming pool and hot spring jacuzzi. Great liacation.

Location to downtown was perfect, great to walk to restaurants and browse shops. Staff was kind. Rooms and amenities were average. Don’t think I’d book with them again.
