Everything was lovely but the food, the burgers were cold, the margherita pizza tasted like goats cheese. Staff are excellent. Receptionists so nice and friendly. And the leisure centre staff are lovely too.

It was amazing.
We were so grateful for the amenities and hospitality
The workout room, amazing service in the restaurant, front desk and in room refreshing all bundled for a super stay in a great city

We were late in checking in and the receptionist told me that the bed configuration I booked was not set up. But as away of recompense he provided free breakfasts for both of us.

The room smelled horrendous. Tv didn’t work. Shame as room would’ve been nice as it was top floor with good views

Close to Cork City, a nice walk.
Parking limited but we snagged one and there is on street parking but it's hotly contested, I think.
Nice facilities - restaurant, and hotel shares gym, pool, steam room and sauna with a fitness centre.
Good hot shower and comfy bed, room a little small for 2 queens but completely fine for the money.

Parking was not good. Stated parking available but had to park blocks down and put a scratch off discounting the parking fees with a map of garages to go. Very confusing: Two twins put together that didn’t line up when I booked for a king. Spent $677 for two nights slept horrible 1st night due to the uneven bed situation. Woke up to only have the shower be cold and then would not shut off had to get management up right away and she shut it off and offered another room as we had no shower and expressed our concerns with sleep Stated she was going to comp breakfast but I told her are breakfast was already included for two nights and she said she would look into it and get back on a way to compinsate. Had to wait until after breakfast a few hours later to pack up all our stuff to move to another room. Roomed seems to be ok but bed situation more durable but still not a king and water still had difficulty getting it to come to temperature. When I talked to the desk she said there was nothing documented on a compensation or credit because we chose to move but we explained we had no choice. She said she would talk to other manager. As we were leaving she informed us they would not compensate. Very disappointed as we spent a lot of money at the bar having dinner and drinks which the employees on that end we were wonderful. If nothing can be done on a credit to my account, poor recommendations to social media, definitely know about our stay and

Friendly staff. Very good location within walking distance of city centre and historic places

Absolutely loved our stay here. The location is perfect - on the north side of the river, so quieter and easier to park, but so walkable to everything to see in Cork. We had a lovely stroll across the river to amazing food (hundreds of placed to choose from), Cork Folk Festival and historic landmarks and enjoyed a stellar music session at the pub Sin e near the hotel. Room was everything we needed, nicely appointed and spacious.
Staff at Maldron were wonderful start to finish. Even when we had an unruly bunch partying next door, staff responded and reminded the party there were other guests around them - much appreciated!

Very enjoyable stay for 2 nights whilst in Cork!

Although rated 4 star it’s really a dated 3 star hotel. The rooms are basic and dated. The service is ordinary - first day staff didn’t offer to help with luggage for example.

Great hotel. Comfortable room & bed. Staff was very helpful and quick to respond when we had an issue with the TV. Parking was an issue - we knew about it before arriving. Fortunately found parking on the street first night and in the hotel lot the second night. The area was walkable.

My wife and I really enjoyed talking to all of the staff and getting valuable information about what to see and do! Thanks great stay!

The room with a nice view. It was renovated and clean but toilet didn’t flush well. Housekeeping didn’t refill tissues and soaps when they refreshed our room but you can ask front desk and they are very nice in supplying it. The parking is very limited. We parked for 9€ a night from 5pm to 12 p.m next day. The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was very good but pretty much the same every day. There is gluten free options and fruits as well as oat and soy milk alternatives. Great coffee machine with many choices. You can request boiled or fried eggs if you don’t like the scrambled eggs at the the buffet. The location is not far from the city centre. We walked to shops and restaurants across the bridge. Overall I would return due to cleanliness, location and staff.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful in all the time and hotel itself and room was very clean and tidy. We gave no regrets staying there. Walking distance to city centre

Other reviews say the inside is better than the outside can attest this is true. Charming and quaint best captures it Staff are stellar. It’s not a NA hotel so don’t expect that experience. Clean and comfortable
Area is walkable for average person

Eventhough I was assigned to a big room that comes with 4 beds in the shower curtain was set inward to the bathtub that narrowed the area you can take shower. Also, the shower gel and handwash dispensers were set on a very inconvenient locations. The bathtub drainage is poorly functioned.

Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast and comfortable modern bedroom.
Very close to quiet historic area of Shandon and if you are staying for a few days it is easy to get bus trips to nearby villages such as Cobh and Kinsale.

The fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night was alarming. But the hotel was nice, the staff lovely and helpful, the view of the clock tower amazing. The breakfast was good with a large variety of foods.

Stay was fine. Parking lot very small and tight. Alarm went off at 1 am 3 times causing kids/baby to wake up. Hotel did nothing for inconvenience.

The restaurant food was excellent and the service was great. The hotel could use some small repairs and more attention to detail when preparing the rooms.

The location was great and the hotel was beautiful and clean.
4.0 / 5.0
Very friendly staff and very accommodating with our needs. However, the water only got warm in the shower. The executive suite was two beds pushed together too, not an actual King sized bed. The breakfast was good and overall, it was a good hotel. But the hot water needs figured out.

Great location but it's a shame about the parking. I booked this hotel with the one purpose of having onsite parking to leave early in the morning for a flight. The hotel has very limited parking options onsite or around the hotel.
To make up for this there is a parkade down the way, however, staff don't seem to be trained on how to offer the discount tickets/process them properly.
The room was clean and comfortable. Great location.

The main issue with this room was how extremely hot it was in there. Even with the window open (the 1-2 inches allowed) it was still boiling in there. We literally left the door to the room into the hall open in the evenings just to help with the heat. Outside was in the mid to high 60s. We live in Seattle and are used to no AC but the lack of fresh air from the window was tough. They left a fan in our room and nice snacks, which was lovely. It is close to a lot, easy walk to the main part of the city. If you don’t score a parking lot spot, you will have to park on the street or in a garage down the road and move by 8 or 8:30 am. We didn’t have the breakfast but the staff allowed me to pop in and grab a coffee each day which I really appreciated. Our sink was clogged and it did take two days to unclog but they did eventually get it taken care of. The history of the hotel was pretty cool, the idea that this hotel was a hospital back in 1720 and is literally older than my country was fascinating.

Perfect hotel in the perfect location. The breakfast is fantastic. The manager, Joe, and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would love to stay again.

Great front desk staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to pubs and cafes.

Great place to stay. Super close to the city center, the room was huge and the staff was helpful.
4.0 / 5.0
Comfortable room. Good location. Room service dinner was terrible.
1.5 / 5.0
The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was fairly quiet, but unfortunately that was all overshadowed by how unpleasantly hot the room was. It wasn’t particularly warm outside (18-20 C), but the room was SO much hotter and stifling. No air-conditioning, the window didn’t open and there was zero air circulation. There was one (very necessary) desk fan in the room, but unless you stood in front of it the entire time you were in the room, it did nothing to combat the heat. It might not be an issue in the winter, but it was terrible in July.

Great room and breakfast. Parking is very limited and super tight if you get a spot at the hotel.

My wife and I spent time in Cork and enjoyed this facility. The staff were really nice. We are able to access all the key downtown areas of cork quickly and there is even a hopper on hop off bus stop at the top of the hill, which was really a worthwhile investment as well. We would certainly stay there again.

The neighborhood was more industrial than I expected. I thought we would be more within a walking distance of activities.
2.5 / 5.0
We had a very spacious comfortable, clean family room. Great staff. ( the only negative comment would be that they charge a manidotory 3 euro charge for a bathing cap if you want to use the pool)
2.5 / 5.0
The location was great- close to everything but not in the middle of the tight streets- great for parking and an easy walk everywhere. Staff was very helpful and nice ( as all the Irish have been)
3.0 / 5.0
Insufficient parking at the hotel, which is first-come-first-served. If the lot is full, which is usually is, then you get to park at a city garage 2 blocks away and pay for parking (the hotel offers a discounted rate, but you still have to pay). The hotel is also noisy -- depending on your neighbors, you will hear them talking in their rooms or in the corridors. Also, the room doors slam easily and often, so you have to hope that your neighboring vacationers are quiet and courteous people.

Nice hotel in a not-so-nice part of Cork. It says they have limited parking but don't try it.
4.0 / 5.0
The kids loved the pool. It was walkable to the train station, buses, and downtown. The room was hot/no air conditioning. We didn't realize there was a fan until we were packing up to leave. It was clean, and the staff was friendly. We ended up staying an additional night, and they made that easy to accommodate. While breakfast buffet was good, other food available that we tried was not. Beds were comfortable, and we found additional pillows in the closet. Staff was super helpful calling taxis, etc.
1.0 / 5.0
I have no issues with the property itself. It's not central to the city, but easy enough walk. My biggest issue with this stay was tge other guests who were up at all hours, noisily slamming doors. We didn't sleep for 2 nights. The onsite parking situation is also a joke. We had to park around the block where there was no easy access.
1.0 / 5.0
We needed a place for one night and this one didn’t break the bank. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay here more than one night. The room was big, but it was hot and stuffy. There were people yelling early in the morning-it sounded like a domestic argument after a night at the pub. Location was pretty good, but no parking on site. Overall, the hotel seemed a bit scruffy and run down
