This hotel has beautiful elements--the wooden floors are very pretty and the lobby area is nice; the breakfast area is nice and it's convenient to have breakfast every morning; beds are decent and the bathroom at this location is small but decent; the room was very attractive looking but furniture had missing cushions and was incredibly old; I stayed here for the gym (MR Express shares the gym with this location)--it is good that it exists but most things are broken; there are 3 weights and the gym doesn't make sense; furniture in the bedroom--aside from the bed--is old with missing cushions; I stayed at MR Express also--it is not as nice looking and there is no carpet on the bedroom floor--however, the bathroom was bigger (easier if you have things to do), the heat actually worked at MR Express (at MR the air conditioner was on all night on a winter night--it was absolutely freezing); breakfasts are equal; they are near each other (about a 12 minutes walk) and the neighborhood is nice--I think I would stay at MR Express in the future since it's more functional and then workout elsewhere (breakfasts are the same--nice that they offer it--but less dramatic at MR Express because there is no turnstyle to get in)--the W Hotel has a very well equipped gym but it's a bit pricey (at least for a day pass)--it's near the MR Express

I have traveled for the last 45years and this was the worst room I have ever had! I stayed at this hotel a few days before and gave it a glowing review but I now withdraw that! stayed in Room 202, this is not the second floor but 1st floor. Checkin at 2145 Checkout 2200 the following night - paid 2 nights as I traveling at 0100. Room faced the street so had busy Vehicle and Foot Traffic noise for the entire stay so little or no sleep, even had street sweeper rumbling at 0400-0430. Window was 4 meters above the street. No privacy curtain but blackout curtain only.
I would swear the carpet was damp. As the management of this hotel allow the use of this room obviously this is 'banditry' at its worst - no chance of me ever staying here again! Be very aware .. rip-off

A very well located hotel in Providencia within walking distance to a metro station as well as shops, amenities and attractions. Area felt safe enough for Santiago and we never had any issues. The hotel looks amazing from the outside as do the internal corridors. Our room was dated but worked well for us. No maintenance issues just older furniture. The shower was great and bathroom felt more modern. The included breakfast was basic but for the price we paid, the breakfast was great. Some staff spoke English which was helpful. Room service was quick and tasty. We enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Okay hotel for the money. Could use a good deep cleaning and maintenance sweep. Helpful staff.

Room 308. The view from my room was of a wall and the access ramp to the garage. The spring mattress on the bed is old and needs replacing. The layout of the rooms, those closest to the avenue, receive all the noise from the entrance hall, the breakfast area and the elevators, with groups of guests arriving and saying good night with laughter. Every night, around 11:00 PM I heard noises like brass (garbage?) being dragged and men talking loudly. The room is spacious, very clean, with an electric kettle and sachets of coffee, teas, sugar and sweetener. The breakfast is very hearty and sufficient. The staff are very professional and extremely friendly. The hotel is in a very good, safe area with plenty of restaurant, snack bar, pizzeria and transport options. Uber works very well in Santiago.

The hotel was in a pleasant part of the city. There were plenty of places to eat nearby as well as many shops too. Bus stations as well as the subway were close by allowing easy access to wherever you needed to go.

Need to upgrade the bathroom. No toilet paper holder missing- they just pit the toilet roll on the toilet tank. Only one hook in the bath room to hang just one bath towel. Nothing else. Closet have dirty towel and debris on the floor. yuck mini refrig leaking- stilled 1 week there and kept telling them to fix it. Have to put a towel inside to prevent the leak. Replace a other one still leak but less. Breakfast always the same- not good. Only thing good is location.

The hotel was a little out of the centre but easy to get as it was right on the metro line. Lovely wide tree lined streets & safe area. Staff were very helpful & offered all the information I needed. Breakfast was plentiful & there was a nice pool & Gym. I needed to checkout during the evening to get a flight, as I would miss breakfast the next morning they provided me with a breakfast box. Highly recommend.

Excellent staff. The hotel is located in a very good area.

Excellent hotel & location.
One inconsistency though: Expedia lists the hotel as having a Jacuzzi, when in fact it only has a pool.

We checked in late after a long flight, went to shower and discovered the shower leaked from under the shower all over the bathroom floor. When we asked the Hotel to change rooms or repair it, they refused and proceeded to attempt to charge additionally me for children that accompanied me. The rooms are also old and not well kept.

The place was clean and the employees were very helpful, very respectful and easy to work with them. The chambermaids excellent job.
However the hotel is old and need some repair. Our first room was very good. We had 2 other rooms with problems with the sowers . Also the room was very cold, heater wasn’t working and they had to bring a portable heater.
For us the location was very good, very central to everything we wanted to do.

The hotel is ok. The room and the bathroom are both spacious. The bathroom is rather dated and needs and upgrade. Linen is also tired and needs to be updated. Nothing special in the room. The breakfast was rather limited but still good.

This hotel is located in Providencia, in one of the most iconic avenues of Santiago. You will have access to the metro and buses just a few steps from the hotel.
The rooms are a bit outdated; however the beds are very comfortable, and best of all the rooms are extremely spacious.
The staff are very helpful. A special shout out to the waiters and the guys in charge of the parking.
Our stay was just over 3 weeks.
Excellent value!

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were included and the buffet was extensive and delicious. Did not have a chance to use the gym or parking. Hotel has been nicely redone and is redesigned with required eco standards.

In middle of the difficult situation that Chile have, the hotel should be able to offer some options for the clients to take dinner o to buy some food. The restaurant was closed when the costumers more need it.

The people at the front desk were fabulous.
The main thing that made our stay uncomfortable was the shower. There was NO water pressure--barely a drizzle, and the temperature would alternate between freezing cold and hot (sometimes burning hot)! We should have asked if they had another room with a better-working shower, but we were so tired that we didn't really feel like moving.

Very nice clean and location is very central to everything. Love the free breakfast and the service.

The hotel Neruda is living in the past: the plumbing in my bathroom was old and shotty, the floorboards were distugustingly filthy along with a stained deskchair and armchair, and to top it all off: there was a gigantic stain on my floor. In my bathroom the sink vantity was roughly held together by visible screws and the sink faucet was poorly put in and loose. They also charged 31,000 Chilean Pesos to dryclean five pairs of socks and underwear along with two polo shirts-this was a total ripoff and I felt exploited. The front desk staff also did not know their own town: they gave me the wrong directions to the Santiago Turistik Bus. And on top of this: they laughed at me when I told them of my trouble getting to the bus.The only nice aspect of my stay was the breakfast buffett.

Good location in providencia, 1 block from metro line 1. Easy to get to and from airport by public transit (take bus to metro line and take the metro to the pedro valvida station, take exit D). Eady to do a day trip to Valparaiso, just take metro to the same station (starts with a "Pad" ...). No need for taxis.
The hotel is well maintained. Rooms are nice, clean. Breakfast is included, could have a bit more variety but if only staying a few days it will do.
Will stay again.
